    SW47's Sprites

I will post my Fakemon Pokedex here. (I've left blank spaces in the pic for when I make more that go before or after them)

They're okay but you really should save your images as .PNG and not .JPG (also not .BMP as PB changes that in .JPG).

The Pixel Art section requires a minimum of 4 examples for a showcase thread, a requirement that you do not meet. Please add two more sprites to your first post or otherwise the thread will be merged with the Spriters Showcase/Discussion thread.

I really like the one on the complete right, I can't tell what it is, whether it was from scratch, or a splice, but I like it. :D

First off, save as .PNG. I don't consider them sprites unless they're .PNG. As of right now, they rae jumbled pixels. Jumbled pixels that are just copy+paste, as previously stated. C+Ping is a huge nono. Like, a HUGE ONE.

Secondly, your sprites don't blend. They just don't, you have a body going sideways, and a huge head facing forward. If you're using a sideways facing sprite, use a sideways facing head!

Now, I can't see much of the colors because the .JPEG is burning my eyes off but from what I can guess at you used Pain default colors. Unless you are one of those strangely amazing spriters who can do Pixel Art with only those colors (You aren't, in case you were wondering), don't use them. NEVER use them. Not once. Te Paint default colors are the ones in the bar at the bottom.

Instead use the eyedropper tool. If you use it, and click on one of the colors from an existing Pokemon, you can use that color.

Please, for your sake, read some tutorials on basic recoloring, and then basic fusions, and then scratching, and so on and so forth.

    Ok, thanks for the advice

    1. Don't save pixel arts on JPG! Only PNG.
    2. It isn't fakemons... It's fusions.

And sorry for my bad Eng, but i am from Poland... xD

AS many other people have already said, save as .PNG, not .JPG (PNG = PwNaGe) and remember to recolour the outlines! Other than that, they're decent, but, yopu've broken the two golden rules. Try not to, next time...

Ok, I added a new sprite, which was my first scratch. PLEASE no bad comments.

The scratch doesn't look very good (sorry :() It has no shading and all the lines are black. The only fusion thats hard to tell what made it is the first one. It also doesn't look half bad but all the fire family dont look that good either. Sorry and also, are you saving as PNG?

I've added a badges section as i've decided to not just do fakemon. I'll ad trainers soon

I wouldn't exactly call these fakemon. They seem more like poorly made fusions. And even to call them fusions is bad. They demonstrate nothing but copy+paste and slightly recoloring them with poor default colors. A Fakemon should be completely scratched like the one at the far right, just like Diggory'sGremlin said. But that one is still not great.
    Some suggestions:
    1. ALWAYS SAVE AS PNG!
Never ever ever ever save as JPG. It's bad for the sprites and gives poor image quality, it screws with the image, making it almost completely unable to edit. So from here on out, save as PNG.
    2. CLEAN UP YOUR LINES
Make sure the lines are one-pixel width and never two, unless you are making backsprites, whereas you can do this.
    3. SHADING
No sprite is ever just one shade of color. Look at otehr sprites. They at least have three shades in them and then there's the line coloring too.
People ahve basically already said all of these things, but it seems that they aren't getting to you.
Take a look at some tutorials. They can help.
When I get up to 15 posts, I'll make a sprite thread and you can see what I'm talking about, but be warned, I'm not the best out there.
    So yeah.

I'm...not going to talk about the pokemon fusions + reworks. Do simple some recolors. Do some complicated recolors. Add very small parts to from one pokemon to another and make sure it looks natural. THEN we'll talk a little more.

Badges! I get a general sense of what they should be, but you need to structure them a bit more. You can draw sketches with the pencil tool but you need to refine them once you get the shape down so they don't look like hunks of junk.
Try to avoid using lighter colors for the outlines like in the 3rd, 4th, and 7th ones. The outline on the 5th is blue instead of a darker purple.

Your shading is unfounded. Imagine (draw if you have to) a circle and arrows pointing where the light source is. I know this is hard as badges are flat, but you can't just have random shines everywhere. You may have been going for the super-shiney DP badges but start simple okay? Last the outlines. It is best to not have outlines bigger than 1 pixel. Shave off the spots that are there when two outlines meet, it looks much cleaner and just...better.

Color wise, make sure you stay within one pallet. (You can play with blending colors into something later, like I said start simple.) i.e., even though it is a bad habit to use default paint colors, pick one and double click on it. Just move the arrow up and down for more shades and make sure you do not change the actual hue.

I'd be glad to make a few visual explanations if I was not clear enough.
