    Information

    Clannad began as a visual novel and was made into a manga, an anime adaptation and an independent film adaptation as well. Discussion is open to all four versions of it.

    Clannad follows through the life of a 'deliquent' high-schooler, named Tomoya Okazaki. Tomoya hates the city he's been living in, and has a straight-forward attitude to that matter. One day on his way to school, he comes across Nagisa Furukawa, a timid and soft-spoken girl with a very low level of self confidence. Nagisa has a weak body and lost a year due to that, and is now too shy to socialize. Tomoya, though selfless, has the tendency to help or support others in need. Therefore, he decides to help Nagisa. He soon introduces her to his friends, while the school life unfolds for all of them in a very emotional way.

    Who is your favorite character and why? What do you like/dislike in them?
    Hmmm....I would have to say Nagisa. She's really nicely portrayed as a character and the thing with her condition is expanded on as well as her early childhood. I like how she still has her child-like personality with the [S-HIGHLIGHT]Dango[/S-HIGHLIGHT] family, however, I don't actually hate anything about her ^0^

    My favourite character in Clannad would have to be Fuuko. I really liked her arc, and she's quite a deep character, despite how she acts. It was awesome when she was singing the Starfish version of the Big Dango family theme. xDD;;
    But yeah, Fuuko's the best.

    My favorite character is Akio (Nagisa's father). I mean c'mon, he's caring, he's got a lot of humor, and he's the one setting his family in motion. He also has all the best comedy scenes (in the bakery shop, of course. (SANAE'S BREEEEEEAD)

    Infact, my favorite song is the Dango daikazoku song. I showed my Japanese sensei the song, and she said "Kawaiiii".

    My favorite is Nagisa, and Ushio.

    Of course you do lol she's a character, too.

    In fact I admit I thought Ushio was a boy until it actually became clear.
     
    Well yeah, that's understandable. XD
    The moment of Ushio's that really touched me was the scene in the sunflower field and she's looking for that robot. That's just about my favorite scene in all of the Clannad series.
     
    That was probably my second favourite Ushio scene, my favourite one was on the train where she said

    ^OMG Yes I was totally bawling there too. XD Aaagh, Ushio~ ;__; Its scenes like these that make Clannad a true masterpiece. : )

    All right, new DotW is up. It's about our most unforgettable comic relief Clannad character.
     
    Sunohara was pretty great even if he was just a recycled Kitagawa from Kanon. I think my favourite Sunohara moment from the entire series would be from the Kyou/Ryou special, Tomoya asked which one he should go for and he said if it was him he'd go for both, genius.
     
    I believe that Sunohara's fights with Tomoyo were all priceless. Especially that one when
