Tales of Series

    Kinda surprised there was no topic dedicated to the Tales of Series. Since there wasn't one, I've made this thread for discussion of it.

    I'm currently playing ToS: Dawn of the New World and even though it was a sequel/spin-off, it is pretty fun. It can't really compare to a main title like the original Symphonia or Vesperia, but it is still a great game. My favorite characters are still Zelos and Regal, but now I'll have to add Tenebrae to that list. He is pretty much one of the best comic reliefs so far in the series.

    So, what does anyone else have to say about the series?

    I'm not like a HUGE fan of the series, but I play them alot. I'm still playing Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. While it barely relates to any of the series, it's still pretty fun being able to have characters from different series team up. I guess my favorite characters would be Leon and Kratos. Though I wish they would've remade some of the Japanese games like Tales of Destiny in English.
     
    The only 'Tales of' games I've played are Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia, which were and still are three very enjoyable games. I still haven't beaten Vesperia yet and if I owned a Wii, I bet I'd get myself a copy of DotNW. My favorite character is probably Luke from Abyss; mainly because of his interactions with Tear.

    Tales of Legendia (PS2)
    Tales of Vesperia (360)

    Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3 (GBA)
    Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology (PSP)

    Those are all the Tales games I've played, and out of all of them there are only two I don't own (Narikiri and Destiny). I even took the time to seek the PSP version of Tales of Eternia while I was in Switzerland on a school trip, since it saw a European release with an English translation. So I guess you could say I'm kind of obsessed.

    And my favorite character? Colette♥
     
    Meh, I've only played Tales of Symphonia and now DotNW. I've also played Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3, but I don't really count that one as much since it is a Tales of the World spin-off. I lack a PS2 or 360 so I haven't played any of the others. Oh yea, I did try the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia, but I only played if for about 5mins.​
     
    I have only played Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. It was a good game but didn't hook me in that much. I would like to look at earlier games in the series but right now there are to many other games on the way.

    Meh, IMO Tales of the World spin-offs don't really compare to the Mothership and Escort titles. Though I haven't really played Radiant Mythology more than like 20mins and I don't really know much except the battling of it.

    I played Eternia a lot. I'm surprised it wasn;t pulled over some political correctness based "racism" issue.

    Not surprising, Tales of Legendia seems to be considered one of the worst Tales series, only surpassed by Tales of the Tempest.​

    Legendia was pretty weird itself, in my opinion. I don't think I ever got through it all the way .o.

    The only ones I've beaten are Abyss, Symphonia, and Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I've PLAYED Vesperia cause my friend has it, but I don't have a 360 so I can't play it as much as I would like D;
     
    The only one I ever played was the first one, which I believe was Tales of Phantasia.
    It was a good game, but I didn't like some of the areas. I've yet to beat it, but i'm planning on beating someday.

    I've heard good things about Tales of Symphonia, so I'm thinking of getting it (I was actually thiking of getting it month ago, but I couldn't find any good store that had them in stock; oh well).
     
    I finally beat Tales of Vesperia today! I still think the ending to Tales of Symphonia was better, but Vesperia was still an awesome game. Any news on a new 'Tales of' game other than the Japanese ones?
     
    I like the Tales Series. I have been displeased with a few of its titles, but on the whole, it is good. My favorite games from the series are Abyss, Eternia, and Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

    As one can see from my location, avatar, and sig, I am a HUGE fan of Alice from Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. She is not only my favorite character from the Tales Series, but my favorite character from all the games I have ever played in my life. She is awesome, so cool that I actually want to cosplay as her :)
