What's your favourite game in the series?

Tales of Destiny is probably my favorite. Mostly in part that it was the first Tales game I played, and it's what got me into the series. Not to mention I loved the cast of characters, music, and storyline.

Who is your favourite character in the series?


Lion/Leon Magnus (however you wanna write it)

Yeah, he's always been one of my favorite characters in general. There's just something cool about him. He's only available for a short time in ToD, but luckily they gave him a much larger role in the sequel. Emil would probably be my least favorite, but that's a whole nother story. :laugh:

What drew you too it?

The fact that I'm just an RPG fan. That's really all there is to it. Sadly Namco Bandai has decided to not release many of it's titles outside of Japan. :/ No Tales of Graces, Hearts, Innocence, etc. Who knows if the new title being developed for the PS3 will make outside of Japan. I wouldn't bet on it.

What drew me to it was the good character designs and the fact that Symphonia was a multiplayer RPG.

Tales of the Abyss. I found the characters more likable than in the rest of the games, idk :D

Probably Luke(after he cuts his hair) or Emil.

My own desire for a game that takes months to complete. I love those.

What's your favourite game in the series?
Tales of Symphonia. It was my first RPG Game, and while I have played some of the Tales of Games, I've found myself replaying Symphonia much more often than the others I have played. I had also found the characters more interesting than the others as well. I loved Abyss' cast as well, but I'm not a fan of Luke or Tear, so that didn't help.

Who is your favourite character in the series?
Uhm... It's been bouncing around. And pretty much has been since I played the game the first time. I would say it's a three-way tie with Lloyd, Mithos, and Raine. Raine is my current favorite female, while Lloyd is my favorite good male, and Mithos is my favorite enemy. :>

What drew you too it?
A friend of mine was playing it and recommending it (Symphonia) to me a few years back, and after learning my best friend had it, we played it and I pretty much got hooked. After playing it with her, I bought it myself and did another playthrough, as my friend playing while I wasn't there and thus I missed a few parts. I also wanted to do the Zelos side of the story rather than the Kratos.

What's your favourite game in the series?
Tales of Symphonia. It was my first in the series and it kind of means a lot to me because I used to play it all the time with my friends and we've made a lot of memories with it. Besides that, it had the best characters I've ever seen in an RPG. Sometimes I think I enjoyed the sequel more because I preferred the story, but I disliked how it had so little to do with the first game. I think it would have fared better as a mothership title IMO. Think about it: any involvement it had with the first game could've easily been altered or omitted altogether. It had more than enough potential to stand on its own, if only it were longer, less linear, and had a bigger cast. ):

OH GOD THIS IS LIKE ASKING A MOTHER WHO THEIR FAVORITE CHILD IS. ;;
I guess I'd have to say Mithos from ToS is my all-time favorite because he was my first obsession, but currently I'm on a ToS: DotNW kick and my favorites are Emil, Aster, and Ratatosk as well as Richter, Aster, and Rilena as a group because obscurity rocks. Honorable mentions go to Arche from ToP and Senel from ToL

What drew you too it?
My friends kind of started it. I had watched my brother play ToS back when it first came out but I didn't care for it much. Then one of my best friends started talking about it a few years ago and I don't know why but on a whim I asked him if I could borrow it. Needless to say I was hooked, and as time went on I wouldn't shut up about it so the rest of my friends got involved. If it weren't for them it would've phased out a long time ago, but instead we choose to be hopeless together. :3

What's your favourite game in the series?
Like a few others, Tales of Symphonia. It was the first game in the series I've played, and out of the few different ones that I have played, it had the richest cast. I've a lot of fond memories of the game. It kind of makes me sad, thinking about it. I don't really know why :/. Maybe because I'm such a loser that some of the best times of my life were spent playing ToS.

My second favorite would be Tales of Vesperia. It was cool to see how all the summons came to be and all that stuff. I was in love.

I saw my cousing playing ToS. It looked fun, so I played too. He left without taking it, and I've owned it ever since.

What's your favourite game in the series?
--That I would have to say is Symphonia. Although to be fair I only played 2 of the games in the series (Symphonia and Phantasia) so it's not like I have a choice as to which one I like the most.

Who is your favourite character in the series?
Kratos (Symphonia), Claus and Dhaos (Phantasia).
And despite not playing the game as of yet, I've been taking a liking to Richter (ToS-DotNW)

What drew you too it?
There weren't a lot of RPG for the gamecube out there at the time, so I was picking up and renting the few that I could find on around here. Symphonia happened to be one of the ones that I rented for a bit, and I enjoyed that game immensely and bought it the moment I found a used copy. Since then I've been trying to find what games I could of the series to get.

Although as of late I haven't been able to afford DotNW because of other priorities. I seen a used copy of Abyss recently, but I didn't have enough money on me at that time to get that and a new GCN memory card (and I acutally needed the card as one of mine is shot), And I'm actually going to be getting a copy of Legendia pretty soon.

But it's a shame soo many of the game never get released stateside, I've been wanting to be able to play the DS Tales games and I's rather get a PS3 then a 360 so I won't be able to play Vesperia (and those lucky japanese get a PS3 port of that game)

Tales of the Abyss, even if I can't really play it much anymore because I completed it into the ground (as in, obtained everythiiiiing) and... I also think I lost my disc. :s But yes, it's definitely Abyss. I haven't played a looot of the titles though. Just a few. D:

Gotta be Jade Curtiss. :) But I'll list by game as well:

Symphonia → 1. Lloyd; 2. Colette; 3. Kratos(omg Kratos was my favourite back when I was obsessed with this game and now he's barely in my top 3)
Abyss → 1. Jade; 2. Anise; 3. Peony
Vesperia → 1. Rita; 2. Raven; 3. Judith/Yuri (they are like the same character except one has boobs)
Eternia → 1. Meredy; 2. Keele

And I like Marta most of the time in Symphonia 2 but I really felt the new characters were totally overshadowed by most of the returning characters. :( Baaw. Haven't played enough of the other games to have favourites.

What drew you too it?
I picked up Symphonia on GCN originally because some other people on PC had it and were really praising it. So I asked for it for Christmas and got completely hooked on it for a year. I got Legendia after that and didn't like it and I'm glad I took a chance and got Abyss, too, since it's one of my favourite games of all time. n_n

Tales of Symphonia. It was my first one, and I think it controls better than Tales of Phantasia, the only other of the Tales games that I have played. XD

Sheena Fujibiyashi. And not for the reasons some might think...>__> I typically enjoy summoners in any game that has them, and the same goes here. XD Plus, I like her Heel Face Turn and all, and she is just pretty awesome in general. XD

Actually, I was looking for a video game at Target once with my grandfather(I was spending some time with them, and he decided to buy me a game for no reason. :P) and my brother and I couldn't agree on what to get. We had seen Tales of Symphonia sitting nearby and we had both thought it looked interesting, so we compromised on that. Best video game decision in a LONG time. XD

What's your favourite game in the series?
Tales of Symphonia. That game was awe inspiring for me when I was a teenager. I use to play it so much it was untrue. I think I have fully completed it 3 times to this day; and I want to play it again soon! XD

Ooooo, ummmm. Genis. He is just awesome. Even though he is whipped slightly, his attacks are just amazing. When me and my friend use to play, he was Lloyd and I was Genis. We are clearly so cool!

What drew you too it?
I don't know. I think I just saw it in the shops for the Gamecube, picked it up, thought it looked cool and bought it. I have played other 'Tales' games but, for me, nothing stands up to Tales of Symphonia.

What drew you to it?
I was just getting into anime at the time and was looking for a good anime-based game for GameCube. Saw a write up in an issue of my brother's Nintendo Power and was sold instantly.

What drew you too it?
I actually wanted to play Star Ocean 3 more at the time, but I didn't have a PS2, so I got Symphonia seeing that they have similar battle systems. I ended up liking Symphonia more.

What's your favourite game in the series?
Tales of Symphonia. Unfortunately, not very many Tales games have been released in this country and compared to the other games, there just isn't any competition. Much as I enjoyed Eternia and Phantasia, Symphonia was just so much better. I found Vesperia to be extremely disappointing, and Dawn of the New World...well, the less said about that, the better.

Who is your favourite character in the series?
Probably Yggdrasill. I have a thing for villains, and Yggdrasill is one of the best villains ever. He's got a brilliant theme tune, complex motives, a good voice actor, and he looks like Elvis. Can't ask for much more than that. I like Dhaos' design in Phantasia, as well. Plus Meredy is quite cute.
Although I am very fond of Rita Mordio in Vesperia. Just because she's so horrendously broken.

What drew you to it?
I stumbled across Tales of Symphonia a magazine, and I was drawn immediately to the art style. I'd never played a game that used a real-time battle system either, which was intriguing, and it just looked like the sort of game I would enjoy. I got it for Christmas that year and the rest is history.

What's your favourite game in the series?
Tales of Symphonia and ToS Dawn of the New World: that's all I've had the chance to play so far. I don't see how anyone could even think about considering ToS 2 better than ToS 1; it's no where near the same category of greatness or quality.

Who is your favourite character in the series?
Lloyd Irving because I tend to favor the main heroes of any game, he had a cool personality, and he was a like-able character. Emil was alright, but he was too much of a wuss in the beginning although his character development throughout the game was very exceptional.

What drew you too it?
Honestly it was an impulse buy when I was window shopping at Best Buy. The game cover looked really nice, I had some money to spend, and I wanted a game to play.
