Tales of Vesperia Mafia (Game Over)

Oh FFS Johnny! You know I don't offer half baked ideas and I even told you all I had in mind was OMGUS thoughts. Those are practically worthless info anyway. I don't like operating on OMGUS.

So there are two things I noticed... 1st GP is leading the lynchs ( either for good or bad)

I dunno why Sparkin got targeted :p There are two other people who are following bandwagon without any care ( or I only noticed 2 of them :p)...hypermorian and melody. First I was thinking hyper was just trying to be suspicious by changing votes fast and using smiles..is he fool? Then he posted something long *** post looking good so nahhh I don't think so..

Melody is also like "I find it scummy" + I like what bidoof had said last phase about melody so I'll just...

[Lynch] Melody

Edit: yeah I got it why is getting targeted :p but that "just you wait" thing :p Are you Judith? @sparkin

Yeah you sure look scummy. I don't see any logic any better than what I've been accused of. There's not enough information to do anything to ride the wagon and watch for pushy scum. SCUM LOVE PUSHING ON FELLOW RIDERS HAHAHA.

Sparkin is being voted because of bandwagoning as far as I know and I haven't seen anyone jumping on his defense, literally everyone has something bad to say about him, which doesn't add up if he's scum. We all know that mafia lead most lynches during early days or simply sheeps along if the town is mislynching.

Melody has so far asked questions and provided information instead of analysis. That's a common scum tactic, you keep pointing out mistakes, talking about the setup, the phase posts or anything that does not equal scumhunting, in an attempt to look innocent or that you're vocal/not laying low.

I was accusing bidoof of refuting arguments without providing any leads or daring to point any fingers and then he sussed Melody, I'm thinking there are good chances that 1 of Melody and Bidoof is scum. They could both be Town, but they're my best bet right now and I'd be willing to try and see which one is it.

Interesting because by this logic this does make Bidoof look pretty scummy. I honestly think you're being suspiciously aggressive here as usual. I'd say Bidoof pushing on me without reason means more than you think. You mentioned "common scum tactics" there Johnny, SINCE WHEN DO YOU EVER SEE ME USE COMMON TACTICS? XD

Nothing I do is common, everything is zen and based on observation, deep and powerful analysis and time to form suspicions over phases.

This as you should well know makes me a common push on target for scum, I draw the eyes no matter what I try to say or not say. It's both amusing and infuriating really but it is what it is. I'd accuse you of griefing if I didn't know your obnoxious agressive act is your playstyle

I'm probably gonna get lynched anyway so I'll spill whatever nonsense I have.

I went back to D1, as D2 in majority is only about me being suspicious.

I read gp's post on page 4 and find it weird that he says that I'm a scum throwing my partner under the bus. As if you knew l' belle was innocent. And that was before he revealed his role too. Who else but mafia could've say this?
Also, if it's worth anything, I'm Adecor.

Hi I'm here

but due to lack of internet I missed literally all of the first day and night, so I'm skimming right now while getting ready to attend to my own game while I have the chance

Great, we need majority to be able to lynch. Not a fan of that design decision.

Noting that we've had two people claim schwann brigade so far, seems like a weird coincidence.

Thoughts on Sparkin: I was thinking he's new but apparently he's playing in another game too. Still seems pretty new but less new than I thought. Tempted to ignore his actions as newbie mistakes but can't shake the feeling that he knows more than he's letting on.

I had some thoughts on Johnny, about him trying to shut down information on day 1, but it seems he's encouraging it now. I'm not sure if I misunderstood his intent or if he changed his behavior but I feel better about him than I did before.

GP is trying to get results. Every town needs someone like that. Whether he himself is town or not is irrelevant to that need.

For the rest, they haven't made much of an impression on me. They have maybe one or two actions that stick in my mind but what I'm putting in this list is basically what I'm analyzing as the intent behind a person's playstyle. I've mostly got town reads on all three that I listed but I'm kind of conflicted in every single case.

Not sure what to do about Sparkin's claim tbh. I'm pleased I got him to actually say something of substance but it's really convenient for him to be another Nilla. Two claims in a row (the only claims) are both one of our few vanilla players?

Also starting to agree with the thoughts on Melody. So far her defense has equated to "I don't scumhunt I just wait for something to jump out at me and scream scum". Not to mention how she narrowed in on Johnny playing aggressively when compared to me he's been quite passive this game. It's like she's looking for any little thing to discredit him instead of trying to appear innocent. Not to mention how aggressive she herself became.

I'm going to for the time being change my vote to Melody. Simply because Sparkin' has not been CCd yet and I don't want to accidentally lynch an innocent.

[Unlynch] Sparkin'
[Lynch] Melody

For the record I'm currently town-reading Morian and Home. Mayb Johnny but it's hard to tell this early for him just yet.

Sparkin claimed a vanilla townie with no one counterclaiming. I'm inclined to believe that unless somebody cc'd.

However, as per recent posts, Melody got ultra-defensive which seemed very out of the ordinary as the tone of the previous posts of people were more of just questioning instead of accusing. I'm going for this vote because of that.

[VOTE] Melody

although I still have fos on lumi for inactivity.

EDIT: I'm inclined to believe Sparkin's claim, considering all the votes against him, if he wanted to do some damage before going down, he would've claimed a power role to at least maybe get a counter claim.

Could you explain this?

On a side note, we haven't heard any counterclaims yet, which is definitly a sign I feel. But I would like to ask Melody before I change my vote, to at least claim a role or something? All she's talking about is her and someone else's playstyle, which really doesn't matter right now.

I've been skimming these past posts, so I can't really say much, but I feel like Sparkin is just grasping at straws, while Melody always posts scummy, it's her behavior, so I'm not gonna vote on her because of it.

[vote] Sparkin

pls quote me if i missed anything and we already decided not to vote Sparkin, and I'll change my vote. I already missed one vote and I've asked Ash that I would be inactive for this week, but I needed to get my vote in so :x

Well, Sparkin' did claim a vanilla role and it still is uncc'ed

I have to agree with the above. Melody hasn't said anything useful all game in my opinion, and she also hasn't claimed, unlike Sparkin.

Here's the thing though, Melody always does this behavior, and always flips inno. Looking at that track record alone, it's looking more like her playstyle than scum behavior. Of course, this game might be different, but I don't think that enough would push me forward.

That said, I might vote for her in the future, depending on what she says later as the game goes on.

Thank you. That's what I've been trying to drill into peoples heads every time I play. Nobody seems to get that it doesn't matter if I share or don't share my reads it always comes off scummy. I can't explain why other than? people just inherently dislike my way of putting things. Regardless, I do push back when people make baseless reads of me.

Johnny refusing to even accept my arguments, writing them off as meta is quite scummy, even subtly assuming I'm taking it personally and flashing his badge is insulting. Honestly you know better Johnny. You didn't just read me as scum, you voted too, which sends a far stronger message that just a read shared.

Home is really suspicious. How does one even CC a vanilla townie? (Hint: you cant) This seems odd. He's saying someone needs to CC a vanilla, which is pretty difficult when generally there is usually more than one.

Also flipping without good reasons: L'Belle(no discernable unique reason), (Possibly)Aaron, gimmiepie(on the same logic as Home)

Apologies for the double post; but it seemed dishonest to edit this in:
I am your doctor!

Yes. It's double shit I have to make this claim, but blame the scum. I'd rather not have had to so early.

You confuse meta information (things only you or I could know) with a reference to your experiences. Meta is explicitly things that nobody else could dredge up by reading an old thread. It's provable that I am asserting my play style honestly, and especially so if someone plays with me.

Now if this wasn't? immediately obvious to anyone reading games, which I'm sure most of you do, then yes you could call it meta. Meta refers to things only you and I know that breaks games. Not to experience with a player.

What's irritating is I have this discussion with you every time we play a game

Actually, you're right, it can't even be called meta because it's not relevant to the game. In any case Melody, don't expect different results if you keep doing the same things. I think you fail to understand that even if this is just your playstyle, it's good scum playstyle and you could pass it as you just being you anytime (as mafia) and we wouldn't notice, so no, I will not ignore your behavior.

I don't explicitly recall asking you to explicitly ignore my behavior; but I do ask you keep it in mind that classical scumtells are not 100% reliable from me. Like the rest of the UG clearly has done. I think you suffer from a hilariously narrow school of thought there that prevents you from seeing that I might be quite capable if you wouldn't constantly label me scum without any better reasons than "this is so common from scum"

Did you ever think how much potential my style has for the town? That it has a deeper tactic at play?
