Tauros or Buffalon?

    After seeing the Hitmon's or Ki's thread it got me wondering about other similar Pokemon. Which brought me to one of my two favorite similar Pokemon, Tauros and Buffalon.

    Tauros or Buffalon​

    Similarities:
    - Normal type
    - Bison/Bull based
    - Physical attackers
    - Single stage family
    - Stat total of 490

    Differences:
    - Tauros is much speedier
    - Buffalon is a better special defender
    - Tauros is strictly male
    - Buffalon is 50% either gender

    So which Pokemon do you prefer, Tauros or Buffalon and why?
     
    I rike Tauros more for battle because of its speed.
    But since I never use Tauros in battle anyway, I like Buffalon a lot better because of its afro. xD

    I really would have liked there to be a Pokémon that would evolve into either Tauros, Miltank, or Buffalon depending on conditions because that would be really, really cool.
    In any case, I find it really hard to decide between them. I haven't used either in battle, and I love both of their designs... AUGH.
    Right now I'm gonna say Buffalon. That may or may not change.
     
    i prefer buffalon.....i never really paid attentionn to it but now that ive seen it on this thread it looks pretty cool....
     
    Wow, next to Luvdisc and Mamanbou, Buffalon and Tauros are the most similar non-related pokemon. Seriously, They look exactly alike, except Buffalon is darker, has an afro, and has gold rings around its horns.

    Anyway, back on topic, Tauros is definitly better design-wise. Honestly, Buffalon is just a fancy tauros with the aforementioned differences. But i still love Buffalon's design. I guess nostalgia wins it for me... it would be awesome is tauros evolved into Buffalon, only if buffalon had higher stats

    I would have loved it if Tauros evolved into Buffalon since it looks like a perfect match. But to be honest due to older and nostalgic reasons I'm going with Tauros for this one. I can remeber the days of G/S/C.
     
    They are both pretty equal in my eyes, but I think I'm going to have to go with Tauros. I like speedy pokemon. 8D
     
    I'll have to say tauros, but that might just because I'm mad at buffalon for for not being the next evolution of tauros
     
    I like both, but I like Tauros better because it can actually hurt stuff before they hurt him. Buffalon has his coolness, too; Afro Break is at the same power as Double Edge, but with less recoil. It also has Herbivore to give itself an immunity to Grass moves and boost its power.

    In other words:
    Preference in terms of battling: Tauros

    Preference in terms of design: Buffaon
     
    I like Tauros because of it's speed, but it just doesn't cut it in battling </3
    I picked Buffalon because of the AFRO.
     
    I'm actually raising a Tauros in my SS run right now, and since I don't have any clue what Buffalon is like, I'm going to go with Tauros.
     
    Buffalon is just a rip-off of Tauros- it should definitely be an evolution, not an unrelated Pokemon. Seriously, they're practically identical, except for horn size and afro presence.
    Because of that, I have to go with the original, Tauros. At least the designers weren't being lazy when they made it.
     
    Buffalon. Bulls with afros = win.

    A LOT of work goes into designing. So saying it's "lazy" is invalid. Try making Fakemon, and you'll see how hard they busted their arses off. Ungrateful little witch.

    I think all Haberdasher is trying to say is that Buffalon is very similar to Tauros. So the designers didn't really have to go out of their way to think up a whole new Pokemon.

    Anyways the only reason why it's similar is because the V generation is suppose to be completely separate from all the other Pokemon generations. In real life there may be some species of bird living on a continent while on another continent a relation of that bird that looks similar, but is different lives there. So it's not exactly that they were lazy, it's more like they were just making another species of bison/bulls.
     
    I like my bulls with afros. You don't get much better than that. Even better is that it has a signature move involving the afro. Sorry Tauros. lol
