5th Gen Team Plasma Discussion

Hm, I just thought about the Team Name "Plasma." Plasma is just the 4th form of matter, made it's own form because it was unlike the other 3 forms of matter (solid, liquid, gas). So maybe they are Plasma becuase they are different from everyone else... they want people and Pokemon to be seperate. Just my thoughts...

You're right, it's sort of hypocritical... on the edge of oxymoron. Knights are like the past... while plasma seems futuristic. But they're opposites--like Black and White. The hypocritical part of it could also be like they way they use Pokemon to sepreate them from humans.

A lot of people actually thought the same thing you did. :P There's no info yet as to why they're named like that, but I also think reason for that is moreso an oxymoron, with the past vs. future theme going on with Black and White (or so it seems).
 
I think their name, Team Plasma, and their medieval theme may have something to do with the Ying-Yang theme that Black and White seem to have. When I think of Plasma, it definitely has some kind of connection with the future in my mind. But when I think of medieval times, I obviously think of the past. Maybe Team Plasma represents a new take on the Ying-Yang theme, not with good and evil, but with the future and the past.

Just thinking.

I was going to say that. They are a walking contradiction. Also, I don't see what "Plasma" has to do with being freedom fighters for Pokemon...
 
I'm actually kinda happy with their name. It's much more "creative" than Team Magma and Aqua. Galactic was meh..
 
Although I like their name, the thing around their head just ruins it. And the medivel design, IMO, clashes with the new, futuristic look I remember seeing in Hiun City.

And they make me miss the simple, dignity of Team Rocket or the thugs of Team Magma or the pirates from Team Aqua, because, PIRATES ARE AWESOME. n_n

Also, head sack > bowl cut.
 
I don't really like their costumes. If they are "medieval" then their evil plots better be good. I dont like their design/costume. The other evil teams were much more creative. However their name is awesome.
 
I liked that in HG/SS you could wear the uniform for a short time. I think you should be allwoed to joim uopn being asked! Though of course to stick to the Pokemon normal story a friend could rescue you out. And if you say no to joining you don't have to worry about it! I just hate that you're always asked to join but never allowed to.
 
Actually, a good point has been raised. Why "Plasma"?

I think they should be called Team Pokemon. Since they're for Pokemon rights.

I want to know what the crown and those two women (Admins?) are all about.
 
^ Team Pokemon? That... might be a little overboard. Technically, then they would be good guys, rather than bad guys, because they'd represent Pokemon, the entire games. I dunno how to explain it, but my point is that Team Pokemon would never work, because it would be defying what your character is fighting for.
 
Oh, maybe when Cyrus got eaten by Giratina he got from the distortion world to ishuu somehow... and he was so mad about what you had done to him, and the way Dialga/Palkia/Giratina treated him he wants to seperate people and pokemon, not for pokemon sake (as he says to gain followers) but for people's sake. So he named the team "Plasma" like the his futuristic dreams. Or Charon could have come to Ishuu and named the team Plasma like his long-lost Rotom. Though I think it's more likely for a completely new team.
 
The Charon idea is actually pretty good, and I like the idea of an old Team Galactic member making a new team in a new region. If that's true, then it would be no wonder that their outfits are terrible.

Tbh, I think that's a little unlikely. Isshu IS meant to be a new start. D:

Bringing members back from old teams sort of doesn't fill that.
 
Also Charon was arrested by Looker at Stark Mountain trying to awaken Heatran.
