Team Rocket in unova

    It was a very popular topic a while back and still is. Team Rocket being in the unova region. This speculation was started back in HG/SS where after you beat the game you can fight a rocket grunt who stole a generator part. After the battle he said he would go back to his home country and start Team Rocket up again. People put Two and two together and thought since unova is based in a different country that the grunt was refering to this. But we all know this isnt true.

    But however what if TR was the team this generation again.
    How do you think it would effect the story and the game?

    I can see Team Rocket coming back a third time, but it's getting sorta boring beating TR every generation (1 Gen R/B/Y, 2 Gen G/C/S, 3 gen FR/LG, 4 Gen HG/SS) I hope We don't see Unova in 5th Gen though.

    It feels a bit odd not having Team Rocket in this generation, I'd like to see them in gen V somewhere, even if its just one grunt that for some reason is in the region.

    Something I've always wanted to see is a massive Rocket uprising, like taking over a quater of the region or something, giving you a massive challenge but with a great reward at the end (something like a legendary becoming available for capture or recieving a very rare and useful item)

    I think they're alright, but I'm yet to find anything that will take me away from The Johto Elite theme =D
     
    I do remember reading from somewhere that the Rocket Grunt in HG/SS Cerulean City is from Unova. He returned to Unova shortly after being defeated, intending to revive Team Rocket there. Instead, he fell in love and settled in Icirrus City.
     
    It would at least be cool if their was one executive their like lambda and a couple of grunts trying to revive TR kinda of like Charon with Team Galactic I just hope they are in the kanto remakes of 5th generation instead of remaking red and green but a sequel with new storyline completley!

    Well, since Giovanni is my favorite Crime lord, I would love to see him reestablish his criminal empire here. If they do appear in Unnova, I'm just hope their criminal activities are still stick to straight criminal. unless other team that think what are they doing is right. And also hoping that they did not exploiting mythical, godlike pokemon for their modus operandi.
     
    If that one random Rocket was from Unova, I'd like to see the fruits of his labor with trying to get Team Rocket re-established. Maybe even Giovanni catches wind of it and partners up with them (since HG/SS establish that he does intend to return to a life of crime.

    Plasma's goals don't seem all that evil, so I'd like to see Team Rocket there with some truly malicious scheme.
     
    I would love to experience the revival of TR in the generation 6 games. I'd like to see Giovanni back on track with his 4 executives, and Silver helping the main character to destroy them again (or Silver just roaming around, w/e I like him lol). I think Lambda's idea about a legendary Pokemon would be great. The main character could beat Giovanni, then get the opportunity to steal the legendary Pokemon (a bit like the 3 lake guardians in DPP after all). In fact, I was convinced that TR would be the villains in Black and White, no clue why!

    By the way wouldn't you love to see the 4 executives in the anime? I'd really like to see a plot developped around Giovanni, his son and potentially mother Ariana. Not happening ^^".
     
    They (and their leader) got soundly beaten by children on two seperate occasions. Team Rocket is dead, and I don't want them coming back again, especially if it's as pathetically as before.
     
    Im not gonna lie team rocket gets boaring and in the animie they gt on my nerves if they wanna keep having team rocket they should get rid of jessie and james and stop tryin to steal pikachu if it hasent worked in 4 generations y would it be diffrent now they should mke them more serious

    As already mentioned it turns out that apparently he is from Unova - he's an NPC in the game with a family and all (and still with the Engrish apparently too which doesn't really make sense seeing it should be his home region >_<). But there you go. That probably shoots down the TR in Unova though. (It does indicate B/W is set after HGSS though by some sort of time period).
     
    Team Rocket having a presence in Unova (What? The storyline is always tweaked a bit in the third game) would be an interesting contrast to Team Plasma. One group trying to steal Pokémon for the sake of gaining power, the other attempting to steal Pokémon for their own sake, one couldn't help but wonder how the two would interact with one another! of course, the chances for such an event are likely still quite slim.
     
    It would be awesome, I can imagine TR blasting in, and ruining Team Plasma's plans. It would have been cool, but I like just one team at a time (except in emerald).
     
    omg. i didn't bwlieve the rocket grunt was in unova until today.
    wandering around unova in the winter, get to icirrus city, walk inside a house and WHAMO!
    Team Rocket bye-bye a go-go! horrible grammar and all. lol
     
    I would like to see, maybe in Gray, after you beat the main game you find Team Rocket has taken over half of the reigon after hearing wind of Team Plasma's true goals. You have to help Cheren and Bianca beat them. After defeating most of the Grunts and Admins you find Giovanni, who once again is in control of TR. He has a level 70-85 team consisting of Persian, Honchkrow, Rhyperior, Nidoking, Kanghaskan, and Nidoqueen. After the battle, Looker will appear to take him away, finally ending Team Rocket forever. As Looker takes Giovanni away, he will bump into the Rocket Grunt that you encounter on the Nugget Bridge in SoulSilver. A Crowning Moment of Heartwarming will occur as Giovanni angrily asks the Rocket why he was not helping in the TR invasion with the TR Grunt saying he has a family now and has finally found love in this world and hopes that Giovanni one day finds love too. A shocked and stunned Giovanni leaves quietly with Looker. One of the Grunts (before being arrested) hands you a Berserk Gene and tells you that Mew (or Mewtwo) has been spotted near Castelia City.
