Team Rocket Pokemon...

    How often is the Pokemon of Team Rocket degraded. Their Pokemon seem to faint from one attack by a trainer who may be just starting their journey.

    Sciviper and Carnivine (I probably spelled this wrong) both blast of by getting hit with a simple attack. This is getting old and annoying very fact.

    Opinions?
     
    Damn right! Dawn's Piplup could use bubble on Carnivine or Cacnea, and even though they're both Grass types,
    they'll faint and crash into the rest of Team Rocket, causing them to "blast off".

    BTW, it's spelled "Serviper" I think...
     
    Yeah, it's funny how much hope I have for Yanmega. Yanmega! It's no Salamance! But seriously, yes, I don't think Seviper is very strong, BUT I think that's partly because Jessie pays more attention to James's Mime Jr. than her own Seviper. So, maybe they'll fall into a new age of great Pokemon where their battle with "the twerps" are actually a challenge.
     
    I don't know. I think sometimes Team Rocket's pokemon just change. Like one episodes they can hold their own in battle but other episodes they are weak.

    I really don't hope they don't overweaken Yanmega. That would be really sad after seeing how great he was back in the last episode.
     
    I'd like to see an episode where maybe, team rocket wins a battle. They could still not capture whatever pokemon they were trying to steal, but if they actually won a battle, they might become actual characters, rather than just repetetive gags.
     
    They don't use the Pokemon to their full potential. Seviper has the ability to use moves like Flamethrower and Earthquake, but Jessie doesn't take advantage of this. Meowth is pretty much limited to Fury Swipes, but that I suppose is kind of justified by the fact that he put his learning into walking and talking rather than battling.
     
    It's boring to watch an unrealistic battle, so I hope the creators realize that.
     
    I think the closest of the Rockets fighting competently in recent memory is the Ralts episode in AG -- all Pokemon were used effectively. The odd thing is, their current team is the best yet, as they cover multiple angles (Grass, Poison, Bug, Psychic). Plus, there is no one sole weakness anymore (Psychic).

    Of course, the main issue is on the writers. SBaby (I think it was SBaby) once said on the sliding scale of power vs. the writers. So, when all fails, it's on the writers.
     
    If they're getting old, that's all the more reason the writers should change their strategy! I loved the Yanmega episode bc it was close to winning a battle. I want to see them win a battle as well! If you think about it, they've been following around Ash for many many many many seasons, and he's gotten pretty strong. They battle him in some way in nearly every episode. So why aren't they pretty strong too?!

    Even if they won a legit battle against, say, Cassidy and Butch or Hunter J, it would still show some seriously sweet untapped skills they MUST have.
     
    Those guys are harder in the game than in the anime. To say the truth, Jessie's anmega is the only one that stands a chance against Ash.
     
    I don't know about Yenmega (it seems strong now), but it may be considered weak soon so Team Rocket would lose easily, that happens a lot in the anime.

    team rocket is gettin old. and im annyed to see them always get blasted off (and smehow survive a fall of hundreds of feet unscathed) wen they seriously don't have a bad arsenal of POkemon. especially wobuffet, if jessie would learn to use wobuffet right then they could really make problems for the "twerps" as they call them

    I agree. Meowth has attacked Wobbuffet a few times in the anime and then TR gets Blasted Off. Now if all of Team Galactic and all of Team Rocket was to fight the twerps... then they'd get pwned. I also wondered how they do that, they were blasting off in every episode (starting with #2) all the way to Season 8.
     
    I agree, I would find it funny if team rocket defeated ash's pokemon for once. Will make it more interesting. However about the grass types someone said, its not all about weaknesses in pokemon. Piplup has had an enormous amount of training, this makes its attack more critical.

    Yeah, that's so annoying! Why doesn't team rocket just get some almighty Pokémon and terrorize the world for a while? That'd be pretty cool. Like if they got Arceus. xD
     
    Something like that could make the plot more dramatic I guess. Well considering the anime, we need dramatic events or it's going to be a lot like the Hoenn Region. :)
     
    I want to see them not only win a battle, but also steal about 1000 Pokemon. That would be awesome.

    Either do that or get them off the show.
     
    What annoys me is that their pokemon never really level up. :/

    Not that the Pokemon in the anime have ever gone by levels, but you get what I mean. xD They never get any stronger.. if they
    always lose it makes me wonder how TR's pokemon have ever managed to evolve in the first place..
