Kyle
Kyle walked around the class, examining each persons work. A few of them were alright, but most of them were simply terrible. They just weren't trying. Most of the students hadn't even read the book, but the few that had were painting ok. Except for Timmy. Kyle could tell he was putting a lot of himself in that painting. He didn't miss the fact that he was combining the colors perfectly, nor did he miss the tear that escaped his eye. The bell began to ring and Kyle froze time. He walked around each desk, and put little grades on the back of each canvas. Most of the students recieved failing grades, as they clearly had not read the assigned chapter, but the ones that did got As. He walked in front of Timmy's desk. He stared at him for a moment.
"What to do with you..." Kyle murmered to himself. He paced around, thinking about it a moment. After a few minutes he unfroze Timmy. He waited as Timmy looked around in surprise.
"I see you are startled. If you haven't figured it out by now, my power is Time Control. I can speed up, slow down, and even stop time. I can bend it to my will, and use it as I see fit. Now, that is not important. What is important, is you. You are the only one in my class that has shown any drive, any passion for art. There is so much more than simply drawing a pretty picture. Art... No, that's not right. Learning about art will give you a certain finesse, a certain grace which you are presently lacking. This fine control should also assist you with your other problem as well. In the gym, you nearly lost control, and that could have been diasterous. Just like your painting. It simply isn't refined, it isn't all it could be. But, that doesn't mean it isn't beautifull. I suppose what I am trying to say is, if you will let me, I will teach you all about art, including the art of control. Or, you could continue it on your own. I know that given time, you will learn the secret yourself, but I'm offering my talents to assist you in learning it faster. After all, it's for the ones like you that I even came back in t... Came back to this place. What do you say?" Kyle said. He had been impressed by Timmy. And that really was the reason he had come back in time. To find the few like Timmy and help them reach their maximum potential. He wondered if Timmy could handle what he was offering.
Joey
Joey and Ashley drove down the road. He smiled happily. She didn't seem to think less of him when he had told her he had borrowed his friends car. He pulled into the theater. He pulled into a parking spot near the front and hopped out of the car. He walked around to the other side like a gentleman and opened the door for Ashley.
"Now, there's a showing in 15 minutes. So, we'll have plenty of time to go get snacks and tickets and find a good seat. And tonights all on me," Joey said with a smile as he offered Ashley his hand.
