Found this on another forum. Thought it was nice to see what you guys think.

A teenage girl is suing a tattoo artist for £8,500 after she allegedly asked him for three stars on her face - but ended up with 56.

    From https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/wo...-artist-8-500-asked-stars-face--ended-56.html

I have to side with the tattoo artist here. How in the world do you fall asleep while you have a buzzing needle stabbing your face? You don't, that's how. My money bets that the girl is a liar. Plus, a FACIAL tattoo? It was a bad idea from the start.

I'm with the girl here. This man shouldn't have done so many stars without completely knowing for sure what it was that this young lady was requesting. Now she is scarred with this, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a side to this story we have no idea about.

...Yo, how the hell do you fall asleep while getting a tattoo done? XD

Anyways, I think something is being left out of all this. It's pretty hard to mistake "3" for "56."

You don't fall asleep during a tatoo like that one.

I believe the artist because I know a couple of tattoo artists. Not generalizing, but it's not like you tell them you want 56 stars in your face and they'll do it right away. I trust the guy had to be 200% sure before doing a tattoo like this one.

And don't tell me a teenager that chose to tattoo her face in the first place couldn't be lying about it after her father and bf threw a fit.

Am I really wrong for thinking that it actually looks pretty cool?

    Anyway..

    ..She's lying. Artist > Her.

I dunno. She might have seen it and thought it was cool at the time, but then later she just changed her mind because her father and boyfriend told her that it looked terrible. I don't think we can really judge just from this article although it certainly does come off as suspicious. I doubt she could have slept through a procedure like that.

If you're going to get a tattoo, put it someplace you can always easily cover up. Let that be a lesson to all.

She's lying. Ive HAD a tattoo, on my back, a little butterfly, <3. You could NOT fall asleep. And on your face? Dx. That girl fails. But why stars on her face ion the first place?

No your not. I think she's pretty hot with those stars on her face, lol.

Anyways there is no way in hell you could fall asleep with a man tatooing on your face and besides a tatoo artist even asks you if you really want it. I showed this to my stepdad and he said too that the man who gave him his tatoo, told him multiple times that you can't get it removed without costing a lot of money, so there is no way this girl can win this lawsuit. She'll only waste people's precious time.

I think the tatoo looks pretty nice too. It's not like the guy who did it horribly disfigured her face while tattooing.

    the article said:
Jules Clocher, a Belgian psychologist, said: 'The trauma this girl must be feeling is indescribable. She feels like a circus freak - and no wonder, because she looks like one.'

"Circus freak?" Please. Last time I checked, "circus freak" meant ugly.
Then again, that's only my opinion....

Hard to say. I could understand the teenager would be upset, but... "3", and "56" very different. I mean, if it was "3", and "53" Or something... just MAYBE. But I really doubt that any tattoo artist would assume something without getting 100% clarification, because after all, they know it won't come off, aside from surgical ways. The story seems a bit flawed to me. All I know is one of them is giving pure BS, and I'm thinking it's the girl.

The girl claims that the artist misunderstood her French?

    Three = trois ('twah')
    Fifty-six = cinquante six ('sank-ont seece')

Those words are totally similar. Yeah.

    I'm with the artist. >>

Yeah, I have a tatoo on my arm, and I couldnt sleep through that so yeah, she is sorta lying lol.

Seriously, I'm with the artist here. The translating and sleeping excuses seem too farfetched. She's just upset that no one likes it and she's being made fun of, so she wants it removed. Suing is the best way to make some bucks, amirite.

She should go into performing/acting with a face like that. Reminds me of Lady Gaga, idk why. /only celeb I know? :/

Tattoo artists don't make mistakes like that.

Sometimes it does happen though. I read about a case where girl wanted "No Regrets" tattooed with a red nautical star (how original, -_-) on the back of her ankle while vacation in Las Vegas. When she got back home in Virginia, she realized that something wasn't right. Turns how that the tattoo artist couldn't spelled and ended up tattooing "regerts."

But I guess misspelling a word is just as easy as making a typo using a keyboard. And this case is different. I mean, why would the girl (in this case) wait until she got home to complain about her artist messing up? I would be upset at the artist right then and there and would at least wash off as much ink as possible before it becomes permanent. The girls side of the story doesn't pull together at all.

    I laughed at that part.

I'm with the artist here, thats pretty ridiculous to fall asleep while that needle is jabbing your face, I'd likely be cringing. There wouldn't be stars on my face, there would be tear ink stains. Plus, how would you get "56" out of "3"?

And not to mention that cincizeci şi şase (Romanian fifty-six) is similar to cinquante six.
And again, trei is similar to trois. Even if the artist got the words wrong he still would've had the correct number.

What an attention *****, this girl.

Edit: Lol, that's censored? Honestly I wasn't expecting that, it's not even swearing. Let's go with 'attention seeker' then.

    Seriously this is all lies....
    I'm with the artist!!
    She said she fell asleep!!??
But how is that possible with a needle putting ink on your face??
Also if she was supposedly going to get 3 stars i think she may have tried to stay awake during the proceidure...
Not possible. The Artist is correct.
She only went back when her father and boyfriend got mad!
It's people like this that really annoy me in this world. But also make me laugh at the same time!
