    You know that one moment close to the end of the game, where your just a bit overleveled to train on victory Road, but a bit too underleveled against the Elite 4 to pull through them. I've almost always come up on this situation, and aggravates me to no end....

    Have you come up on a situation like this? If not, then how did you stay up enough in level? If you have, then how did you rise above? Have you had this sort of problem at any other point in the game?

    If I'm overleveled for Victory Road, I just train there anyway, since there's usually no where better to train in any of the games, unless there's a rematch feature like Vs. Seeker.

    I just keep going up against the elite four until I can take them and beat the champion, I battle them, lose and heal and then battle them again and soon enough I've gained enough experience to become champion. I don't use any items during this process because when it comes time to finally take them all on I need to stock up on full restores, full heals and revives.

    Yes. I got that feeling when in R/S/E because my Pokemon were in their 50s by the time I finished Victory Road, making them too strong for the Victory Road Pokemon, but not strong enough for the E4

    This happened to me at times but usually I took the time to train with them at places regardless to level them up.

    Usually I have one Leader in my Party who is higher level above the rest if something where to become situational. It all just depends on what version you're playing, how it's played, and how you manage your 6 pokemon team.

    I usually end up having to put up with Victory Road or using the Vs. Seeker. Fortunately, since I tend to overlevel throughout the game, it isn't too bad compared with some who don't level grind as much as I do.

    If I'm within 3-5 levels of the Elite Four, I'll typically bite the bullet and go after them.

    I just brave the Elite Four anyway, it's simple enough to beat one or two of them. Can end up losing a lot of money from constant losses (though really one should be spending that money beforehand so no matter) but there's good experience in it.

    I've never really been at a situation like this, because whenever I would reach the end of the game, I would be "overleveled" as far as the victory road is concerned, but I would pretty much be right on point when it comes to the Elite four. I would not be underleved, nor overleveled. If anything, I would be only slightly underleveled, but nothing to cause a major setback, probably only when it comes to the Champion.

    Yes, this happened to me. I actually put of writing an essay for some last-minute grinding iirc. It was in my first ever Nuzlocke run, on Diamond. My team was a bit underleveled
    so I tried to grind them all to Level 60, scared to death of Cynthia and her team. When I was told that I'd be okay with a team of Lv. 55's, I headed in, with Pokemon of various levels ranging
    in between 55 and 60. I ended up demolishing the Elite Four with one death, which happened because I had no idea Milotic was a special defender.

    This is my lame solution to every game. :D I spend all my cash on Potions and Revives and then take on the Elite 4. If I black out, I don't lose much cash. Then I just repeat the process until I can win. I prefer it way more than training in Victory Road so it's what I've done... I think ever since Gold version. @_@;;

    Most of the time, I grind a single Pokémon to a ridiculously high level in order to get by the Elite 4 with little trouble. Lance has nothing on level 100 Porygon!

    I'm a fan of grinding, so if I find that I'm underleveled for the E4 then I just train on Victory Road for a while. The tedious nature of it doesn't bother me. It gives me something to do.

    Periodically, I'll challenge the E4 if I think I'm ready. If it proves that I'm not ready to actually win against them, at least I have an idea in my mind of how much more training I need to do.

    Because I buy both versions of each game, what I usually do is when I get to this point is trade all my Pokemon to the adjacent version to make use of the 1.5x experience. Then I trade back and kill the Pokemon League in one fell swoop.

    I just go up against the Elite Four anyway no matter what, I usually have have a team of 5 so I don't have to waste time training all 6. Other than may be 2 level gain from Victory Road, I just wing it. (so far so good, A.K.A I've won everytime :S)

    I just use the VS seeker IN Platimun and rematches in Heartgold for my pre E4 needs. White may signal a change for me as there is no way to grind instead of finding trainers I missed and battling Audino or other high EXP yielding Pokemon.

    Maaan... it's honestly the worst part of the game for me. XD; It's so boring, just sitting there and grinding until my Pokémon are strong enough to take down the E4 and the Champion. Normally, I'm at Victory Road grinding levels until what feels like the end of time. And usually, I'm about 7-8 levels from where I should be, so yeah... it takes forever. Normally I'll take a few veeeery long breaks from my game at this point.

    In SoulSilver, what I used to do was swap my Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon SoulSilver parties and then have my SS party train at some of the more "advanced" areas of Diamond. Because traded Pokémon gain more experience, it takes a bit less time so I didn't mind as much. But the whole trading became a hassle (not to mention I don't like Pokémon Diamond at all, so playing in that file just sucked, period, haha).

    I think I'm gonna try that Elite 4 trick this time around, though. Sounds like a good idea!

    I tend to just slam my face against the E4 until I get through. I don't like Victory Road in any game. That portion of the game is my least favourite, and the point at which I'm most likely to put my DS down long enough to shrug and restart the game over again.

    I've never really had this problem, to be honest. o.o;
    My Pokemon are usually above the level necessary to beat the E4 and the Champion in one sweep. I'm a very strict trainer. XD; I grind consistently long before the Victory Road to ensure I can just sweep through the trainers on every route, gym leaders, ect. I don't like to be under-leveled, and I have a slight superiority complex in-game. :D;
    ... Can you tell how much of a nerd I am?

    Though I train the way I do, I don't like to rush through the game. I like to take my time. :3

    This is where I love the Vs. Seeker most. It would've took me a long, long time to grind my way up to the Elite Four. Taking on the Elite Four and gaining experience by experience might be good, but it's too cautious. I'd lose too much money.

    I tend to go back to battle trainers or wild Pokemons with the right EV's so my party will have a better chance. It's really tiresome but I have nothing else to do...
