[PokeCommunity.com] that long username, and it's not spelled Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hello, I'm Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers. I'm usually called Rika, RHCP, Red or Adventure and you may call me whichever of those you prefer because who really bothers typing out this username?

I joined PC back in 2007, and posted anywhere and everywhere. In 2010, I found the Roleplay Corner and have pretty much stayed there since. I modded it for half a year in 2011 and now I mod Pokémon General, wow very power, much blue.

I am a closet nerd. That basically means that I have some interests that I don't share with people irl, but it's not that weird really. Mostly it means that I go on this forum and have some guilty pleasures in the form of pokémon, Homestuck, science fiction, soundtrack music, games... Like any sane person.

I live in Sweden, where I'm on my way towards a master's degree in chemistry at a university. Other than that, I'm an awfully short girl, I am sort of in love with Robert Downey Jr and Hugh Jackman AND Patrick Dempsey because askdjaksdldkfj, and I like these smiley faces
    :> :3 :B xD

I realized I actually had a thread, but that it was half a year old but bumping is great fun, right? I guess I hope someone wants to get to know me better here, hah, or ask something you just never got around to ask, or just ask the silliest things you can come up with.

    You're a fellow scientist! Hello! :)

What is your favourite aspect of biochemistry?

Is it possible to have a favourite molecule/group? :P

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Hmmm. Probably Sweden. Haha! But really, it is a great country with perfect climate in the summer but a bit too cold in the winter (+20 to 25 C summertime and -10 to -20 C wintertime) and lots of freedom (you can feel relatively secure and you can become anything you want) and clean streets and nice enough traditions and people. I probably wouldn't want to live anywhere else permanently.

If it was only for a while though, I would actually love to try and live in America for a while. It fascinate me even though I think I would probably feel very small and scared in that crazy country where people are allowed to have guns and whatnot... ;P

New Zealand would also be a nice place to live, because I hear they have really great scenery and not at all as many dangerous animals as Australia has, haha. Or what do you say? ;)

    Hello! I guess so!

Proteins are very fascinating and it is such an important field to study nowadays. It's what most people who go through my program ends up working with later on. But I like the chemistry more, with smaller molecules, so I'd say organic chemistry. It's the lab work I like the most, actually, not the theory even though it's of course necessary and interesting. I like seeing results and feel like I'm actually doing something ^^

It is perfectly possible! As a biochemist, I've got to say I like the benzene ring ;) I also like alkali metals since they are soft and pretty to look at when they touch water lol

    Hmm. I always thought you were a guy. Oops. x;

    Anyway.
    Did you enjoy moderating?
Assuming you had friends there, did you have a difficult time enforcing the rules toward them?

    Hmm. I always thought you were a guy. Oops. x;
I can be a guy for you ;> I most often don't display a set gender on PC, even though I appreciate when others do it, because I'd like that no one judges me or what I say depending on what gender I have. No matter what people claim, they do act a bit different to girls compared to boys. I had my gender set as male for a long time some year(s?) ago and had most of the RP regulars believing I was male except for those who really knew me. Quite enjoyed it. Might try it again some time :B

    Anyway.
    Did you enjoy moderating?
Yeah. I got to go through with some changes and improvements that I had really been wanting to make, and it was fun to have access to the weird discussions in the mod lounge. Plus, some of my friends were mods already so it was nice to join them. But in that particular summer, real life got so busy and I had to go on leave from the mod duty so often that I felt guilty and decided that the section deserved a mod more present, so :p

Assuming you had friends there, did you have a difficult time enforcing the rules toward them?
Well, not when it was serious rule breaking, but if it was just a minor misstep, I could feel annoying when I pointed it out. Like, stuff that doesn't really matter much but just happens to be written in the rules to keep things neat or whatever. People have said I was too lenient :p But yeah, it took a while to learn that infracting someone wasn't the death of your good soul.

Anyway, why do you like roleplaying so much? What's your favorite OC that you have had? I actually use to roleplay myself, though I only did wolf rp. Never people, haha.

As a petite girl myself, I am curious.. how short are you?
Ahahaha, yeah, I'm shorter than most of the people I know, but people in Sweden are pretty tall maybe? 5'2" is me. Do I reach above you or not? The suspense is nigh unbearable.

    *takes unnecessarily long breath*
I used to love writing in all forms, be it silly poetry, original stories or school projects even. I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, pardon the expression, when it comes to Swedish but I'm jealous of all the native English speaking people who know tons of more expressions than I do and maybe ever will :< Some expressions and order of words, I just never seem to get right :p

Anyways, I had some old friends on PC back in 08 or something who used to RP here all the time and talk about it and I lurked the RP corner now and then and thought it looked darn complicated and was too afraid of doing something wrong to dare to join. Just... too bothersome. And then I think I left PC for a while or became a bit inactive some time in 09/10 maybe and when I came back I jumped into the RP Corner head first and just tried it out. Much because my writing was going slower because I grew bored of my stuff before I reached the end of them, and I thought that writing together with others could be more rewarding.

And yeah, it was. It's strangely satisfactory to create stories together with others by playing as a character, especially if you can make it look good too. Eyecandy sign ups and whatnot. That's probably why I'm not a gamer too; writing has been my medium and I sort of see roleplaying as enough gaming to leave me satisfied, haha.

tl;dr It's cheap gaming with good looking words and I like words and have good enough imagination to love it :>

My favorite OC, I'm not sure. I've had so many but some do stand out. I made an Ash-clone lol in some Johto RP and everything he did just came naturally to write about. And right now I made an insecure semicool soo-to-be-gay person but I haven't gotten a chance to really play with him yet. It would be fun tho. Oh, and I guess that half-elf 9-gods-worshipping monk with some kind of personality disorder and two imaginary fairy friends is also quite the memorable one.

I never played as a wolf, but I think other people down in da corner like to do it because apparently they have some wolf RP going on now. I prefer to play as humans :3

Interesting concept. Your reply has led me to ask a different question.
When you had your gender set as male here on PC, when (assuming they did) your roleplaying friends found out that you really aren't, how did they react?

aaand either you were joking or you mistook the "x;". I can't tell over the internet haha.

Sounds like you're taller than me, Rika. :P

What kind of candies do you like?

What's the strangest RP you've taken part in?

Hehe. Kind of like you did, I guess. Just "oops, I really thought you were a guy, that's weird".

I don't even know what x; is supposed to be, a face? Haha :p I was probably kidding yeah? Internet and communication, good and bad.

Do you consider it a pain (as in time consumption) to type in your username if and whenever you have to?
Yes. :( I type it in every time I go on PC because I don't save my password lmfao
But I've gotten so used to it now so I rarely misspell it and I still wouldn't change it just to make things smoother because one of the reasons I have it was because I wanted a long one. Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers. Read's Haett DHithi epleidpp okay I can't type it ultra fast apparently :p

Really? Pretty cool, doesn't happen too often. I kind of like being short, even though I'd want to be... Okay I'd want to be like at least one decimeter taller actually :c

I like chocolate (I LURV CHOCOLATE) and sour candies :> Yeah, that's pretty much it. Anything with nougat also.

Uuuh. I've got to think about this one. Probably a Homestuck RP I made some time back. It was pretty different from what RPs usually look like on PC. But it was so much fun. Imagine your whole house teleporting into another world, where monsters shaped like cats with porno worthy breasts attacked you and a ghost shaped like a bear with a rubrik's cube for a head tried to aid you while you used, like, a frying pan for a weapon. It was fun.

If I told you I was holding a house party in the summer and invited you, would you attend?

If you bought me a plane ticket to wherever you are :( and if it's in July because I don't have time in June lol. And also, if you make Gavin come.

I can satisfy the second and probably the third condition but the first you'll have to sort out yourself I'm afraid. In the UK by the way as well.

Also I don't think 5''2 is THAT short for a female, do you dislike your height? Would you prefer to be taller and if so, how much taller?

Any idea what you want to do after you finish with your biochemistry course? Good luck on that upcoming exam as well.

Yes, everyone reaches above me. I thought I was 5ft for the longest time but my doctor clocked me in just over 4'10".. :c OTL.. no one is shorter than me except for little people and children..

After you finish your studies, what do you want to do?

What is a Swedish tradition that you follow, if any?

    Do you like punschrulles? *_*

It'll be a no, then. Money is something I don't have a filthy abundance of lol

Naww. That is... SO short! :D There are a lot of upsides to being short too though. Like, you are never really in the way of anyone and you can sneak through crowds easily and people automatically find you cute and you can escape heavy work and stuff.

Oh, lots I guess. Like Valborg. On the last day in April every year, swedes gather in groups in parks or near rivers or lakes and have huge bonfires. And lots of alcohol. It's all very nice and merry and in university towns, students usually all meet in one place and have a party for at least one full day outdoors. With champagne and games and fun. I like being a student at Valborg. I burned my skin in the sun tho, hah. I think Valborg is supposed to celebrate the return of the light and green after the winter.

Also there is midsommar, of course. It's not quite as extreme as in that IKEA advertisement clip, in case you've seen it... But not too far either xD Flowers and dancing and alcohol, mostly. And rotten fish. Ugh.

I do like punchrullar! They are one of my favorite kakor :> Meaning cookies, kind of. Are they a swedish thing? Didn't know that, in that case. We sometimes call them dammsugare, meaning vacuum cleaners, because they look like some model of vacuum cleaners from the 70's or something I dunno.

I want to become a scientist, a chemist. My bachelor's work has opened up my eyes for that kind of work and I don't really see myself working in some mainstream lab somewhere. I think I'd enjoy working at a university, perhaps in another country though. It would be fun to go and study in America or somewhere else exotic. I'd miss my friends and family though. But hey, maybe I could go to some town where some PC people live 8D

Also, thanks! Physical chemistry.... ugh, maths in all forms are pain.

It's pretty obvious where your name game from. Now the question is, are you actually a fan of Red Hot Chill Peppers? If so what's you're favorite RHCP song?

Edit: Do you remember exactly when you became a mod? What did you like about being on staff?

Well yeah, not a huge extreme fan but there are certainly songs I like. The best might be By The Way. I chose this name more out of hilariousness than out of a love for the band. Sorry, all super fans!

Early feb 2011 I think. Could find the exact PM but bother :p I liked my fat blue name, I liked being able to see who was viewing a thread/forum and I liked the mod lounge. And also I loved being able to totally shape up my forum.
