4th Gen The 16 badges...

    Don't get me wrong, but I think pokemon Gold, Silver and (pretty soon) Crystal is the best pokemon versions ever!
    It was remarkble for the GBC to have such expanded memory and color to handle those games.

    Plus not only it had more pokemon and color, but the adventure was very, very long.
    Just as you thought, you beaten the elite 4, you have the ability to go into the Kanto region as the previous pokemon version and battle all orginal 8 gym leaders and earn a big amount of 1 badges AND battle ash (Who is known as Red) again!

    I find it to be very epic.

    My question is, do you think the heart gold and silver will let you go to the kanto region and earn 16 badges again?
     
    If this game is a close remake then it should include the badges. Personally, I think that the game will include the Kanto journey and maybe you get to do more there.

    Because Red looks exactly like ash only he doesn't have much color on his outfit compared to ash.

    Also note, Blue looks exactly like Gary as well, so wouldn't it be fair to say it's them?
     
    Also, I wonder if a battle frointer will be made.
    The added the Trainer tower in Crystal, so I wonder if they gonna extend to that area.
     
    Kanto is in the game and that's sure. Indigo Plateau and Elite Four are in Kanto and when you go to there you can see Kanto's map. So, what do you think, if you go to Kanto and look your pokegear's map, what do you see? Just black screen or Kanto's map? If they do map to there you can go to there and some Kanto places can be seen in artworks.

    Sorry for offtopic, but: If you look anywhere on the forums, and ask anyone, it's very clear that they're very different characters. Sorry, but I got a bit angred about the "Ash, known as Red" thing. That is as wrong as it gets. Again, sorry for offtopic post. I just want to mame a point.
     
    It's fine, it's just one of those pokemon debates.
    People at my school argue about that as well.
    But Since they are not referred as Ash and Gary in the games, then they are different people.
     
    Well, Red was based on Ash. They pretty much had the same Pokemon except for Espeon which was added since Ash didn't have a sixth Pokemon.

    Anyways, in the original games, Kanto was too short. I think they should add more to do this time.
     
    I really hope it has all 16 badges and the ability to interact with them in some way (shining, etc.).
     
    Now back to the badges,
    on the gold and silver versions.
    Once you won a badge, you can view them on your trainer card.
    Have anyone noticed how the Kanto badges don't display?
     
    I'm pretty sure that they're going to include everything from GSC in HGSS, and add some more for our satisfaction. :D
    If they don't, IDK what I'll do to them.

    Yes LucarioFreak!, I noticed that, too. I'm sure they'll be able to display it this time.

    They should expand the Kanto plot. It's awesome that you get to explore it in GSC, but it'd be more awesome if you also have a well written plot along with all the exploring and collecting. If I remember correctly (I'm not sure about this, so I might be wrong), there was no Indigo League. I'm hoping that they'll add that in HGSS. :3

    Also, they should make Red talk (and don't go bashing me that Red is a "silent" protagonist) when you fight him.
     
    Yeah I will admit the Kanto part was way too short.
    I was dissapointed that the safari zone was closed.

    But the real reason to that was because of the glitch city glitch.
    But now they fixed that by removing the save feature in safari zone.
    So I'm praying that it'll make a comeback.
     
    Its a remake.
    Apricorns, the legends, team rocket, kanto and everything freaking in gsc will be in. There should be no doubting with all the evidence we have let alone do we need evidence. And yes that would mean 16 badges will pop up and yes they will all show seeing as the DS is well enough capable to do so.

    I don't want to make this just ANOTHER Ash-Red discussion, but I just couldn't resist when I saw this...
    First of all: No, why? It's Ash who is based on Red, not the opposite, except for in Yellow, where the character got a very small change based on red's appearence and some events. But the character himself is original.
    His team at mt. Silver is based on Yellow, but not directly of the Anime, as yellow ISN'T the anime, it's just inspired by.
    BTW: As HGSS continues the FRLG story instead of Yellow, as GS did, not a single trace of Ash can possible be there.

    To make this a little more ontopic: I hope that the Kanto gyms will get a (big) revamp.
    I mean, imagine walking around in a big cave or something in Brocks gym... ^^
    Or a forest in Erika's, developed traps in Fuschia gym (can't remember what's-her-name), and so on...
     
    I think all of the features will be in HGSS from GS because they are remakes. If I'm not mistaken, Emerald said that the Battle Frontier was in Kanto. Maybe it'll be in this game too. Who knows?
     
    All I can say is...why not? Assuming this is a perfect remake, why wouldn't there be the Kanto sidequest?

    And at least they should give more reason to collect the 8 Kanto badges.
    I hope they re-open the safari zone (though this could well be unlikely, because we already have the park back in Johto). And maybe when you collect the Kanto badges, some sort of Sevii Islands in HGSS style, which will feature 3rd and 4th Generation Pokemon plus legendaries, would be accessible and fully explorable. Ha, I can only dream. XD
