I hope we can make multiple guesses ~_~ So I'll go with the obvious:

Spearow: Only has one evolution form. The others have 2.

Metapod: No legs, can't move and no hidden ability.

Raichu: Only one who can't evolve by leveling up and needs an item for it.



Also is this some kind of trivia question?

For example
Riachu because it is the only one with an alolan form and z move

Spearow: The only pokemon that doesnt have, or evolves into a Pokemon that has either a Mega evolution or an Alolan Form (no Mega Fearow or Alolan Fearow)

Raichu: The only pokemon on that list that doesnt have the same Pokedex color as the others (Bulbasaur, Venusaur, and Metapod are green, Squirtle and Blastoise are blue, and Spearow and Pidgey are brown)

I'm going to go with Metapod.

All the others are part of series that end in the same last letter.

Bulbasaur to Ivysaur to Venasaur

Squirtle (not shown) to Warotortle to Blastoise

Spearrow to Ferrow

Pikachu (not shown) to Raichu

Note: these are all series 1 Pokes. In later series, Pikachu has a precursor called Dedene.

But Metapod

It's Caterpie to Metapod to Butterfree (Three completely different last letters).

~ The only Bug-type?
~ Only one without legs?
~ Only has 1 eye visible on the sprite, while the others show both?
~ The only one named Metapod; the other ones are not named Metapod.
 
I am gonna say Reachu...because you need an evolution stone to get him, all the others you can evolve by leveling up.
 
Raichu : * It's the only Electric-type out of the selected Pokemon.
* It's the only yellow Pokemon of the bunch.

Metapod : * It's the only Bug-type Pokemon in the group.
* Does not end with the same last letter as Caterpie nor Butterfree.

Spearow : Has no known variations (no Mega evolution, no Alolan form)

So for those that don't know how Chu plays games... there's literally just one reason. The one reason that has stuck out in his head. All other reasons are irrelevant no matter how creative they are and you won't get extra points. Think like Chu does - and find the right reason.
 
this is really hard. think like chu does, okay must be something cryptic smh.

raichu - of all the pokemon, it has the longest tail :D

venusaur - the only sprite with a moving mouth :/

metapod - the only pokemon with dreamy eyes : P

metapod - the only pokemon whose sprite is of a single colour, i.e. green o-O
 
i may have this, hopefully.

blastoise is the odd one out.

the pokedex sequence of the 8 pokemon you put up is

1, 3, 8, 9, 11, 16, 21, 26

the pokedex number of each pokemon is greater than the previous one by either 2 or 5, except blastoise, whose dex number is greater than wartortle's dex number by only 1.

so i'd say that blastoise is the odd one out.

is that it o-o?
 
I'm js you guys. It isn't going to be cryptic. It will be simple. Proper advice has been given to the Pikachus but I have a very good feeling that it'll be the simplest explanation.

Chu can I guess and if I'm right the advantage goes to all the Pikachus?
