    The Aroia Region
Welcome to the Aroia region. This region has only been populated for 2 years. The newly appointed Pokemon Professor of the region has been researching the pokemon found here. He has captured many of them to be handed out at the Grand Opening of the Aroia Pokemon Lab. The trainers are happy that they can finally start their own journies.

With new heroes comes new villians. Team Ozone has also moved to the Aroia Region. They plan to take over the skies and reign terror down on the region. Their first priority is to capture the Sky Legendary, Raquaza. They tracked it to the Aroia Region and are constructing a machine to disable it so they can catch it.

The Pokemon Lab, associated in Gralf Village, opens in 2 days and you are getting prepared to set off on your journey. You will encounter many new friends and foes on your upcoming journey and hope that friends are more plentiful than foes.

    RULES:

    1. No bunnying other player's characters without both my permission and the RPer's.

    2. Ask for permission if you want to meet other Rpers during the RP. (I will most likely agree if given advance notice)

    the pokeball. (See below)

    5. I decide if you catch a Pokémon and what level it is.

    6. Post often. You will recieve a warning if you aren't on for 5 days. On the sixth day, you will be kicked out unless you have a proper explanation.

    7. I am allowed to add and subtract rules if needed.

    Name: Jen Keil
    Gender: Female
    Age: 17

Appearance: Jen has small cut hair that only reaches the top of her neck. She spikes her hair and looks a lot like a boy. She has a single bar piercing on her left ear that she got without her parents permission and has loved it ever since, though it did get infected a few times because she did it herself. Jen always wears normal blue jeans, a black and gray striped long sleeved shirt and black converse shoes. Around her neck is a simple silver chain necklace that she constantly wears, along with the dog tags of her deceased older brother. He was always her favorite and taught her how to be a fighter. Aside from that she keeps a black jacket in her black backpack that she always carries around because she is constantly picking things up from the ground: coins, shells, sparkly things...

Because of this, said shiny items can be seen dropping from her bag on occasion from bulging pockets that just seem to hold too much, even if the items are pure crap. In many ways, she has the characteristics of a Murkrow, and if someone said that to her, she'd be pretty amused and wonder what it is exactly that you're smoking. When it gets cold, she'll trade her long sleeved shirt for a much warmer black sleeved shirt that's a bit on the heavy side to keep her warm. While she doesn't mind the cold that much, if she could avoid it and go near a hundred degree climate area, she'll head over there. Atop that black long sleeved shirt (if its cold enough) is another jacket that she'll bundle up in.

Personality: Jen is one tough cookie. Having had grown up with five brothers total and being the only girl puts you in that sort of position. She constantly likes to wrestle and have mock fights, even going so far as to wrestle a stray Mightyena that walked into her backyeard. The two had fallen in love with each other, but sadly Jen had to let it go. Jen can be pretty cheerful. In fact, she is almost happy all the time and rarely shows any anger unless for a just cause like against abuse, unfair laws and anything against her belief's or when she gets into a fight with one of her brothers. Jen hides her tears, which really doesn't matter since she doesn't cry all that often. When she falls and hurts herself, she takes it, unless its as bad as a broken bone, but unless a drama show is on that really affects her, she will cry silently.

As Jen grew up being the only girl in the family, with five brothers to boot, she has the tendency to act a bit too tough, thinking she has to prove herself. She doesn't like to be coddled, and no matter how tough a girl can be, there is always that unsaid boundary between a girl and boy, which is sad, because she doesn't know that many girls who have an adventure bone in them. She hates make-up, dresses and all sorts of girly things, which is in fact the total opposite of the girls she does know from school. Its regretful too, as sometimes her father will take the boys out for just a boys night out, which involves crazy stunt shows on the rare occassion, and Jen absolutely loves that sort of stuff. Don't get it wrong, Jen's father loves her and always has time for his 'baby girl', but that's just the problem, she loathes being considered 'daddy's little girl' or 'daddy's princess'. While it may be the same for all girls, Jen still feels like she has to prove herself to be as tough as a boy, which is exactly why she will dress and act as one.

History: Jen grew up with five brothers, but was the third oldest. Her oldest brother, and favorite, Jarrett, died while serving in the army. He was a great soldier and pokemon trainer. His best pokemon, Skarmory, went down fighting with him. Jen now keeps his dog tags for herself. That was the first time she had ever cried so openly. When she held Jarrett's dog tags while they buried his ashes, along with his Skarmory's into the same grave, she vowed that she would make him proud. Her brother had wanted to become a pokemon trainer after the army, but Jen sometimes doubted he really would. Her brother loved serving too much, and she knew he would have been great, and that is why she vowed to protect his memory. With that vow, she placed the dog tags around her neck and has never taken them off since, even when showering or sleeping.

Jen's second oldest, Bobby, is a bit of a study nerd, and doesn't fight all that often, which sucks because when he does wrestle he's incredibly good at it. Jade's younger brother's, Mark and Owen, are only a year apart, Mark being the oldest and being one year younger than Jen. Aside from Jarrett, who is three years older than Bobby, they are all a year apart. Their family is close, but when news of Jarrett's death reached their ears, they were never the same again and closed off one another, and even till this day they aren't the same. That's why Jade wants to go on a pokemon journey, to get away from it all. She loves her family, but there is only so much one can take in a sad environment.

Hey I just realized that I posted the unedited version of my character... sorry that must have been pretty rough to read through. Here is the legitimate one I hope. It should be a lot smoother. Also changed the colors so maybe someone would notice. Also it would help to know a little bit more information on the first route and city. Thanks.

    Name: Kara Thornse

    Age: 16

    Gender: Female

    Appearance:

Kara's brunette hair coils to around shoulder length. The large curls make up most of the texture of her very stylish hair. Her brown tress steals the shade of her mother's, however, Kara inherited the natural curls from the heredity of her father. Kara's hair is obviously well kept and clean almost all the time, an amazing enterprise for someone who travels so much. Hats are seldom spotted on the girl's head, however headbands and ribbons are a reoccurring love of Kara. Her bangs are troublesome for the teen, and are often restrained by a ribbon, or pushed to the side. Her hair is a double-edged sword; the large curls prove adamant in staying free, rather then being enslaved by a tie. Kara has abandoned any ideas of ponytails, pig tails, or even buns. Before the sun has even risen, Kara spends hours on her hair making sure everything is in place and will stay the way it is for hours.

Kara's thin body is one every coordinator dreams of. The girl's self conscious personality makes it impossible for her to not know her weight. She hovers around the 116-pound mark, but like everyone in life, tends to put on a pound or two at special occasions. Kara has made it a part of life to watch what she eats, which always helps with keeping a very refined figure. Kara stands at five feet eight inches, and has completed growing. Her limbs are not long, and most her height comes with her long torso. Very little muscle resides in Kara's body and most of it populates the back of her legs. Her skin has always been fairly tan; thanks to Goldenrod's beaches, and her constant traveling. Kara's light blue eyes are like looking through a glass window to her character and emotions. They contrive a mosaic of innocence that is often shattered by raging emotions and hormones. Kara's lips pull everything together with a constant covering of peach colored lip-gloss.

Fashion, is a big part of a city girl's lifestyle. It is a necessity that Kara gives off a clean, up to date look. The girl's love for performance also allows her to dress formally quite often. Versatility is not what Kara is looking for in any of her outfits; in fact it is all about the way she looks. Whether she is battling, scaling summits, or walking the streets; Kara garments herself in mostly collared long-sleeved shirts and skirts (prep clothes). The girl believes it sinful to wear any kind of athletic sweats as a female. Such radical beliefs in clothing often make it appear as if she follows in some kind of cult that worships garments. The young lady also has a sweet spot for jewelry. Kara chooses to wear various contraptions on her wrists every day, and an occasional anklet. Earrings are thrown in on special occasions, in order to make her appear much older then she actually is.

    Personality:

Passionate, innocent, and self-cautions are the three best ways to portray Kara. Her passion for performances dwarfs anything in comparison. Whether it is a book, a movie, a play, a competitive battle, or just a magazine, she immerses herself in it. She lives a very fast paced life and must always be accomplishing something. This character trait often leads her to read a lot more then she should. Kara consumes words as much as food; she enjoys the sense of accomplishment every time she completes a novel. This sustains her need to be doing something all the time. Another very defined characteristic of hers is her treatment to both humans and pokemon. She is not afraid to tell the truth, in fact she is often to loose with her mouth. She is quick to criticize and often no positive comment will leave her lips when addressing a person. Kara's pokemon are often treated the same, however, when they are able to perform to her very high standards, she will treat them with the highest regard.

Like most women, Kara has very uncharted emotions. It is very easy to pin point what mood she is in but how long she will stay acting that way is unknown and unpredictable. These often lead to unneeded fights with just about anyone, which often ends with Kara apologizing. Knowing herself so well causes her to be very skeptical of other females. She is often very internally, judgmental on other girl's appearances, clothing, and personalities. However, a female who proves herself acceptable to Kara's standards has little trouble with Kara.

Growing up in the higher end of Goldenrod City, Kara is very naïve to the transgressions of criminals, or crime itself. Being raised in such a bubble protected her from evil and more importantly hardships. Pain was almost completely foreign to the teen when she set off on her journey, and she is still adjusting to a very different lifestyle. This adjustment often leads her to be a bit catty when someone strikes a wrong note with her. Kara grew up in her sister's shadow and is constantly trying to prove herself to her family.

    History:

Johto's most metropolitan area, Goldenrod City, is where Kara was born and still to this day calls home. Her father was an entrepreneur the day he graduated from a high profile college and struck liquid gold when he and a friend started an oil company. Evolving into a corporate giant, Mr. James Thornes was able to provide his family a very comfortable life. Mrs. Maria Thrones grew up in a more modest home that resided in Cherrygrove City. She grew up as a contest coordinator, but found very little success. In result of her failure at coordinating she settled down with James and the couple were able to successfully deliver two healthy baby girls. The oldest, Kristina, is the elder of Kara by a distant eleven years. Both girls grew up doused by the rich, culturally diverse life of Goldenrod. Kristina became a coordinator at a very young age and was very good at it. Finding more success then her mother had in just a few months Kristina pursued her love for coordinating into her twenties. In her travels Kristina met her future fiancé, Mike.

Kara grew up in the large cascading shadow of her sister. Her parents seemed to always compare her to her older sister. Somehow it seemed that Kara was always on the short end of the stick, and fell short of all her sister's accomplishments. Her grades were A's and B's where Kristina had seemed to manage to get all A's when she had been the same age. This constant competition began with every New Year; however, this did not strain the relationship of the two sisters. Kristina often came to the aid of Kara, and offered both help and advice. Kara began idolizing her sister at a very young age, and with every year her destiny to become a coordinator like her sister only strengthened. However, she soon made a decision that would obliterate that destiny. During her final year of schooling Kara became strangely close to one of her teachers. After receiving top marks on her trainer exam and the rest of her battling courses she decided she would pave a new path. Instead of following her sister she decided to become a pokemon trainer.

To get her mind off of constant disappointment, Kara found a sport to invest most of her time. When Kara was still a child, Mr. Thornse purchased a large mountain cabin just outside the winter resort of Snowpoint City. Kara grew up spending most of her breaks on the slopes of the largest mountains in the world. Finally Kara had found something she was better then her older sister. As much as Kara loved the rush of adreneline as she plumeted down the hardest runs in the world, she knew she was to become a trainer.

Her plan to stay in Johto was predictable but would not come true. A new, upcoming region named Aroria was being settled. Her father was not going to bypass any opportunity where money could be made. He spoke of an opportunity as if it was revolutionary. As if it was, itself, the great migration from Kanto to Johto that had happened millenniums before their time. James quickly purchased a large estate on the new continent and planned to move his metropolitan family to very primitive lands. Kara was unhappy with the idea of moving, however, she had learned to never cross her father. It was now set in stone she would be one of the first trainers to journey through Aroria.

Ok, people. I didn't see this was open, and I'm extemely happy it was approved. I'll post an OOC in the regular Roleplay area and everyone has either been reserved, or has gotten the pokemon they wanted.

I will make my profile tomorrow, so for the Wildcard I want Gible.

Wildcard was taken by {Swan}. Shinx, Mantyke, and Oddish are left.

Can I reserve a space as a Team Ozone member? I think that would be an interesting part :) I'll post my profile soon (won't be needing a starter)

I'm really into ghost pokemon, so could I have a Drifloon? Its also a flying type. Thanks for the reserve btw :D
EDIT: I don't think you should do many Team Ozone people, it would be better with maybe two? your decision though.

    Character Name: Colorado Apollo Grey.

    Gender: Male.

    Age: Fifteen.

Appearance: Colorado takes pride in his appearance. Dressing in the latest fashion, he keeps up to date and never lags behind. Falling to the middle of his neck, his hair is composed of texturized waves of dark brown. Parting to the left, he reveals two curious, pale green eyes taking in the world with every step. Bathing in the sun during the springtime, Colorados skin tone became a brilliant bronze, envied by most beachgoers.

His seafoam green polo and denim Capri cutoffs are his usual attire, paired with matching Jordans.

Ever since he was young, Colorado was forced to wear thick-rimmed glasses. Within his mouth, he also wears braces, even though his teeth are aligned perfectly. On his left wrist, he wears an orange friendship bracelet given from his brother and a black beaded bracelet given to him from his first girlfriend.

On extra sunny days, Colorado wears small, circular sunglasses he purchased at a thrift store. When trudging through snowy terrains, he throws on a hoodie of his favorite color: orange.

Personality: If you can look past the braces, an actual human being exists under that careless persona. Colorados blank facial expression masks a kind, sweet kid.
Growing up, he was use to getting what he wanted. Having adults go out on a limb for him was the environment he grew up within. Although he never abused his powers, he does possess a fair amount of greedy and extroverted feelings.

Enclosed by unfamiliar faces, he easily makes conversation. First impressions of people are important, so he tries to start introductions on a high note. When surrounded by friends, he wears a smile warm enough to melt snow. Although he doesn't understand much of the World, his common sense is always spot-on and his actions are thought through before being preformed.

History: Growing up on Slateport, a lifestyle of luxury came naturally to Colorado. Tanned bodies were at every corner, and merchants filled the town, giving extra life to the exciting city.
Colorados dad brought wealth to the Greys. His high-paying job left the Greys with an extravagant paycheck, and spent at their hearts desire. Even though Colorado spent the least, he still lived lavishly compared to the average fifteen year old.

The things Colorado desired were different from that of his parents. He enjoyed the thrift-stores and purchasing a bargain, rather than spending loads of money. He finds excitement in hustling and getting what he wants. Only getting him in trouble once, he served no real punishment.

    Preferred Starter: Mantyke.

    Heres my profile gold:

    Character Name: Jake Fey

    Gender: Male

    Age: 19

Appearance: Jake has light blonde hair that sweeps across one of his eyes. He always wears his puple t-shirt and black jeans, no matter what the weather is. Jake is also never seen without his lucky Spell Bracelet, which has a special hidden power... There is a spooky sort of aura surrounding Jake, and as he grew up, he was always referred to as "that creepy kid". Generally, Jake is quite an eerie person to be around.

Personality: Much like his looks, Jake acts quite spooky and cold. He hardly ever smiles out of happiness, only to chuckle sinisterly at something. Being a boy of few words, Jake is always to the point, and hates talking extensively. Because he has noone to care for, his only loyalty is to Team Ozone, but even they are very wary of him, as his Pokemon skills are hard to rival. Because Jake spent a lot of his life in the Old Chateau in the Eterna forest, he is most comfortable around ghosts, so next to nothing will scare him. This gives him a tendancy to be a bit too reckless though, so he often makes a few too many mistakes. Ever since Jake moved into the Old Chateau, he found that he had a disliking of the daytime, so he was often more active at night when the moon was out. Jake is a very determined person, and won't stop at anything to get what he wants, which is sometimes a bad thing for him.

History: Jake was an only child until he was ten, when his mother got pregnant. Jake's father had died when he was young, so his mother forbad him from beginning his Pokemon journey, as she didn't think she could cope by herself with a baby. This made Jake very angry, as it had always been his dream to be a Pokemon Master, so one night, he ran away from his home in Jubilife City. When he tried to sign up for the Sinnoh League, he was turned down because he had no permission from his mother to enter. This meant he would have to wait six more years to begin his journey, as his mother wasn't going to let him go. Instead of returnung home, Jake found himself lost in the Eterna forest. On the ground he found a bracelet with funny symbols engraved in it. Without thinking, he put it on, and suddenly he was surrounded by lots of ghost pokemon. Jake was terrified, then the Pokemon picked him up and carried him to their home; the Old Chateau. Jake wasn't scared after they gave him food and clothes, so Jake decided to live with them.
Jake had lived in the Old Chateau for six years, only leaving to get food from Eterna City. Because Jake was 16 now, he could start his Pokemon journey by himself, so he left the Old Chateau, and said goodbye to all the pokemon. On his way to sign up to the Pokemon League, he found a newspaper with an article all about a new Region called Aroia. It seemed a lot more interesting than Sinnoh, so Jake decided to have his Poemon Journey there.
Jake made his way to Gralf Village (which was having a high tech pokemon lab built) and found the Professor of the region. Jake asked him if he could have a pokemon to start his journey, but Jake was told that the lab was opening in two years, so he would have to wait. Jake was so sick of waiting, that he stormed out of Gralf Village. He had spent all his money coming to Aroia, and now he couldn't do anything. Something then made Jake decide to join an evil crime team. This team was called Team Ozone, and were bent on capturing Raquaza. But Jake didn't care about terrorizing the region. His mind was on something else..

Starter: Already has some Pokemon, but starts with Drifloon (gets it from Pokemon Lab while undercover.)

    Character Name: Searn Cahill

    Gender: Male

    Age: 17

    Appearance:

Searn's unruly appearance is made up of nothing more than a normal teenage outfit. He is rarely seen without baggy jeans, usually a dark navy that reflects his common mood. A hooded top is worn on his torso, with an outrageous design that almost looks like paint was spilled across it, its zipper usually only half-drawn to reveal a t-shirt that would blend with what was over it. His shoes would be jet black, but are a worn grey, due to his constant travels. His outfit is usually proof of his lack of money, as it is often either similar or reused constantly throughout the month.

His hair was also black, and was a decent length for a guy. It was the only thing he would be able to keep modern and new, as he would change the style with the times, although, as he grew into his travels, he would settle on one style. It was flat on his head, but the hood of his clothing would usually cover the top of his head. His hair stayed a medium length, about three inches long. A cowlick would occur at the front of his hair, but would only push it up so much before it drooped to lie across his forehead. His eyes are as crystal clear as water, the only color splashed in his otherwise dreary appearance are the blue of them.

    Personality:

One word may be used to describe the one emotion he shows: Reserved. Searn is extremely quiet and usually keeps his array of emotions to himself. He never shows his anger or happiness; however, he will reward his pokémon to what they deserve. He is unlike any other trainer; he strives for power, to prove to himself that he is not weak. However, he is not corrupted by power, nor blinded by it, he feels as though each win is a step closer to proving his father wrong.

He doesn't care for other's thoughts, usually, and will be as frank as he needs to be. His fighting style is the only area he will show any satisfaction in, whether he wins or not, Searn's adrenaline will quick in. A loss results in a series of intensive training, not only his pokémon, but also his own body.

    History:
Searn's father was a high-ranking member of Team Rocket. He was a successful commander that traveled often, bringing both his wife and Searn with him. Searn was away at school when his father beat his mother brutally to death over a fight while his father was drunk.

Searn was a normal, innocent child up until that point. He was then abused short afterwards by his father, beaten every night. This abuse soon led him, when he was 10, to run from his home in Goldenrod City to the Underground. There he was exposed to a gang, where he robbed and attacked innocent people when he was 14. Still in the gang, he met someone who turned his life around. The person introduced Searn to Professor Birch, who saw the good in Searn and offered him a trip to the region of Aroia. Searn reluctantly agreed, but only for the food and clothes that would be provided to him if he were to accept.

His starter pokémon, a Gible, was met as soon as he landed on the island. It was in dying condition, and he brought it to the Pokécenter to heal it. Searn originally didn't want to keep the dragon pokémon, due to it's notorious attitude of not listening to weak trainers, however, since Searn had saved the Gible, it seemed to listen just fine. He was excited to have tamed such a hard to train pokémon, and was excited to start his adventure right away…

maybe we could start by the end of next week? regardless if we have 4 more people?

We will try to. The SU will be closed for a while when we do. I might close it in a while and we can start.

The SU will be closed for a short time in 10 minutes. All people looking at this Roleplay will have to either get in a reservation or a SU in the next 10 minutes or you will have to wait several days to SU again.

Searn slowly opened his eyes to the everlasting rain. He looked into it for a little while, wondering what had happened to him. A raindrop fell in his eye and he shot up, rubbing the saltiness of it from his eye. He looked around him for any clues of what had happened, and then saw it, a wild Gible, which had severe cuts, bleeding and breathing heavily. One look at it could tell that the Dragon had fought to protect the innocent human who was alone, with no pokémon. Searn quirked a saddened smile toward the end both of his lips.

"Well… surprised such a proud pokémon did this for me…" then Searn noticed something on his own battered and scarred body, an emblem with the initials of "TO" on it. Searn then suddenly realized he and this pokémon should not be left out in the rain for too long, so he ran to the pokémon's side and reached down to scoop the torn Gible up. A slight humming came from the depths of its throat at Searn's touch, but Searn continued to pick it up. As he brought the forty-five pound dragon up, Searn realized he would not be able to make it all the way to a city the way he was carrying it, so he slung it over his back and got on the muddy bike Searn had been attacked and thrown off of. He rode until he reached a sign that pointed him to a city, the Gible's breathing intensifying and Searn tried to hurry.

In the pokémon center, Searn and his ally had been bandaged together, but Gible was asleep in the Intensive Care unit. Searn slowly rose and walked to the door, clutching the badge that he had found.

A high-pitched voice came from the desk "Where are you going? Don't you want to wait for your pokémon to be well so you can take him with you?"

Searn's dark voice replied, "I'm a new trainer, not qualified for such a powerful pokémon, he most likely would not listen to me anyway…" and with that Searn advanced to the door which automatically opened. As the door opened, Gible thrashed in its bed violently, almost sensing that the man who saved it was leaving. Searn and some doctors ran to the wild pokémon that was threatening to kill itself. Gible settled down at Searn's touch, and at that moment, Searn realized they would be bonded for life, about to embark on the adventure that would inevitably be his life.

Searn looked to his new partner and sighed, "So, I guess we'll need to go everywhere together, huh?" His Gible hummed in approval and nodded. Searn looked around Gralf Village, where he had ridden his bike, where his eyes rolled over a Pokémart. "We should probably get you a pokéball, I hear people aren't too fond of loose Gibles…" Gible crossed his arms and looked to his side, jokingly offended. "I need to pick you up in the mart, all pokémon must be contained in public buildings… besides the Pokécenter, of course…" Searn reached down to pick Gible up, and picked the dragon up. He walked towards the mart.

"Is that all for you, sir?" the Mart clerk asked, as soon as Searn placed the pokéball he was to buy on the counter. Searn continued to hold the not fully healed Gible near his chest, and nodded toward the clerk. "That will be 200, sir." Searn reached into his back right pocket to where his wallet would be. His hand found nothing, then he shifted hands holding Gible and reached in his back left pocket. He chuckled "Heh… seems I misplaced it, hold on." and he checked each and every pocket. At the last pocket all he pulled out was the "TO" badge, which he found when he woke up. His eyes suddenly widened. "Team Ozone…"

"What was that, sir?" the clerk tapped his foot impatiently. "I was mugged, I don't have any more money." Searn replied, now knowing what it feels like to be on the other side of his old work. The clerk picked up the ball off the counter "Sorry, I can't give away any free pokéballs." Searn looked at him and nodded, "I understand, thanks anyway." Searn exited the mart, his venture unsuccessful.

Alright, not to be rude, but I highly doubt this RP is actually going to start anytime soon, and people are just throwing out new things, so I'm going to withdraw from this RP.

    That means Sneasel is open.
