After years of wait and multiple movies leading in to this movie The Avengers finally came together. And that they did so collecting 200 Million in the box office this weekend alone. So if you like Iron Man, Thor, Captain American, The Hulk movies you are going to love this one for sure.

For those who haven't seen it here is a small sample.

For those who have what did you think? Did it meet your expectations? Did you like how they brought all the movies together into one?

As for myself I loved, visually amazing, thought they tied together great. Ever moment was a can't miss moment for me. Great none stop action, and I loved the commentary between the group.

If you haven't watched yet I'd recommend not reading the spoilers. It pertains to post credits scene.
    Spoiler:

I thought it was a good film. My only criticism was just the lack of reason for Hawkeye being in the film, he just became a random character stuck in for no reason by the end.

Sure it's trying to stay true to most of the previous adaptations, but there was no Ant/Giant Man or Wasp either so they could have removed him.

I actually thought Hawkeye was added in rather well. I haven't read any of the comics or anything like that so I don't actually know for certain, but I think tying him in with Black Widow enriched her story and gave her a reason to fight. I didn't find him pointless at all... and he was actually quite awesome!

I take it that this film is very successful by all means? I've seen trailers since Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol's Midnight Showing (first time in theaters) and it just looked amazing, grabbed my attention. Instead I waited to hear reviews from others and see how it turned out before spending my $ on a movie that hopefully isn't a disappointment. Looks like it's worth the price?

I wouldn't quite say 'awesome', but the way Renner was utilised was quite a smart one, given that him and ScarJo are essentially not-really-superheroes but happen to be Avengers anyway.

Anyhoo, I saw it today and I liked it. It's still a superhero film, so it's about half an hour too long, and there's so much exposition and space mumbo-jumbo and plotholes kinda abound... but it all seemed to come together by the end. Especially the Hulk! I think Mark Ruffalo did a really good job with that character (despite the pretty big switcheroo in his personality by the end), and while I groaned at the 'Hulk Smash' line, actually watching him smash stuff was probably the best part of the film.

    Avengers was AWESOME.

Loki:I AM A GOD! I will not be bullied by some dull, mindless cr-

Hulk:*smashes loki like a rag doll* puny god.

    Loki's expression: Priceless.

That was the best Hulk EVER.

Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?

I disagree with the comment about Hawkeye being extra padding on the film. I thought every main Avenger character (and also the pseudo-Avengers Fury and Colson) had good roles to play and no one seemed like they were just dead weight. They all provided some help in the big action/fight scenes (had a reason to be in the film) and they had personal issues/character development (they were relate-able) and those are the only two things that I think you need, especially for an action movie.

Well, I didn't think I would, but I did end up seeing this movie tonight. My expectations were just that I assumed it'd be visually appealing. Not big on movies, especially action/super-hero movies. First things first though, the 3D was actually noticeable. Every other time I see something in 3D, I feel like I wasted my money cause I don't notice it. It was a good movie on the eyes. The space and computer jargon was annoying in the beginning. Cause I really just didn't give a damn about it. I felt like Captain America I guess! Didn't understand it.

Oh, forgot to mention I never read the comics. The extent of my knowledge was parts of The Hulk because I had a cousin that LOVED Hulk. And I knew stuff about Captain America due to watching a review about the original movie. And Iron Man was familiar. Everyone else, I was just like "...who the ****..." But I mean, as someone that hasn't read the comics and is barely familiar with the heroes, I think they did a good job of giving back story without making it a life story, if that makes sense. So you know where each one's from and their story, but not the full extent. Just enough to understand, but not leave you totally in the dark. So for that, I commend them! Had something not been included, I would have been totally lost and wouldn't have understood any jokes.

UMMMMMMM THE PLOT. Well, the villain was creepy and just that perfect "I want to punch you in the face because I hate you so much" kind of guy, but he didn't feel all too powerful, so I wasn't really afraid of him. I was afraid of his hair though. Ick. Oh, and the name Loki just...idk. I don't like it for him. He doesn't seem like a Loki. Loki sounds more feminine and not a name to be feared, honestly. Oh. I said plot, not villain. Plot. Um. Yeah! Well! Science science something galaxy something something DARK SIDE. That's all I got on that.

Overall though, it was a good movie and makes me think different about the genre of movie. I didn't like the dragged out ending, but eh. What're ya gonna do? But I'd recommend it to someone, even if they don't have any knowledge on Marvel Comics. I'm honestly more familiar with DC Comics than Marvel. But that's another topic!

I saw it and it was alright but i don't really like super hero movies so don't take my word for it

I though hawkeye was quite cool, but his costumes aren't flashy enough
I noticed his costume when my friends mentioned, it kinda looked like a normal spy/agent suit though. The purple is too dark?

I enjoyed this movie. Heck I loved it one of of my most fav hero movies. I loved the cast as they all played their roles superb.

In relation to Hawkeye I think Its cool how they added him in. Not because hes part of the Avengers in the comics and such but that he just fits in well. As for his costume Its more in the Design of his Ultimate Universe look in the comics. I acculty prefer that costume more as his original one I say looks too bright and flashy.

Ok about the Plot.. and Loki... well If you not so sure about the plot go and watch Thor. You will understand the movie more then.

Also anyone.. who also saw the little extra scene in the ending credits? OOoooh interesting!

I thought the film was great. If you compare it to storylines Marvel has had before and how mediocre they were, this film is fantastic. It hit on all major points; drama, action, comedy, suspense. And while hitting on all these points it seeming flowed flawlessly. The character development and relationships with each other were great. They didn't drag the movie out one bit either trying to accomplish this feat. I personally cannot wait for the second installment in the series!

I thought it was a pretty good movie. However Spiderman 2 is still my favorite Marvel flick. Robert is just hot. XD. The action scenes were amazing and well done.

I would hope that they make [name deleted for secrecy] not just a villain in one movie, but have some part to play in several. The tie-ins with Fury and Coulson in the other movies was much fun and I want to see some more of that in the upcoming movies.

    Robert Downey Jr.?

He's no Chris Hemsworth, but he's alright.

Yes Its gonna be pretty interesting... but I wonder if
    Spoiler:
is gonna be the villain for the 2nd movie or the villain for a upcoming movie.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be said character in spoiler for the second Avengers film. I would be bewildered if it weren't

Now that I think about it Spiderman not being in it makes sense. Since the new movie is not even out yet it would just seem weird having Spiderman in it with all his powers before the movie.
