Nah, it wasn't 8000. He already had over or about 10k, and then once Dawson removed the DCC threads, his count got reduced, and when the DCC's came back, his count rised. XD

I think one reason for the DCC to raise post counts (The other reasons are on vacation :P). I post so much in the other triva, I already have 1000 posts but not in my post count. Makes me wonder why it dosen't let the posts you made add into your post count...?

I post A LOT in the boards that don't count toward my post count since I joined. But maybe that's the reason why they didn't add post count in those boards, because too many people post there. MANY people spam in the New people welcoming board. Simply because they need to raise their post count. I mean seriously? Also since D/P came out more people are joining and leaving. Leaving not a lot of people who have been here for about 2 years, hanging around PC anymore, Did you see the D/P boards lately? It's like SPAM, SPAM, and more SPAMMY posts. Hardly anyone posts here anymore.

I wouldn't exactly say I made 8000 posts in the DCC because about 6000 of them are purely SPAM. Seriously not proud of my post count...

However, Kawaii, you need to stop the stalker-ish stuff. It's weird. O_o

Why would you care so much for having a big post count and wanting it to add up, though?

Oh but I did. If you'd notice that was before I signed up on this account, that's when most of the other side of me stopped.

Most of this account is not exactly spammy... whoo for new accounts. XD

you got a point there, some just spam to make thier post count go up. I'm think to many new people are joining to fast and spamming up the boards cause they don't understand the rules. It actually been proven that the chance of n00bs being banned for not following the rules is way higher than members that have been here for some time.

Another problem is that some people just sign up to ask one stupid question then leave. The DBE drove off some good fellow members too. I hope some of these newbies actually become active people.

Yeah, but it's the fact you used it in a post which is stalker-ish. Whether you're still taking print screens or not is irrelevant; it's the fact you've still got them and actually use them for backing-up stuff. o.o;

That is kinda obvious though. If a member's been around for along time they're obviously going to know the rules and be abiding by them because they haven't been banned or warned, etc.

When I used to ban members their time on PC was taken into account. If it was just a n00b that joined a day ago and made all spam posts, I'd likely ban the person on the spot. But if it was an older member, that had been here for a few months and got a good number of posts I'd send a warning and that'd be it.
Sure it isn't right that I say this person gets a warning and this gets a ban. But if the person is a few months old that person has a reason to straighten up, because he/she likely made some friends on here, he/she wants to be a better member and stick around. The n00b might go "Screw you, I'm not listening to what you have to say." because that person has nothing to stick around for.
Do n00bs have a better chance of getting banned, yea.

But that's just natural. Noobs wont listen because they have nothing to lose. Now someone with and actual post count and have been at PC for a while deserves the chance. A noob who has done nothing but spam deserves a ban. That's my two cents.
Heh. i'd be way more reluctant to ban an established member too if I were in his position

As for my postcount, It's low because When I do post I make sure it's a decent one.
Very rarely are my posts short. If it is a short post it's because that's all I have to say that needs to be said. I havent even broken 1000 posts yet. So I'd say mine is particularly hard earned.

Yeah, I joined around Christmas or something and got Emerald. Then I just kind of slowed down and eventually stopped posting for a month or two, or... so. xD

I'm happy I came back, there's much more to do now that all of the D/P stuff has been added, and I never actually looked at the DCC or any other forums that had nothing to do with Pokemon Video Games. So I'm starting to focus on them now more than Pokemon video game threads.

If only n00bs took a look around the whole site and saw what it all really was, I bet they'd stay around, but most people are just too lazy to look now. I should know that was me. xD

Yeah, I agree with you. You just have to look at New Posts to see what it's really like... I mean, like maybe half of what's posted isn't really necessary and it looks by far that people just are wanting post counts.
Who really goes looking in D/P nowadays? (Apart from the mods doing their jobs of course) It's still crazy like when it first came out... I preferred it to when there was only the members discussing it with the Japanese release, xD But that may just be me.

Habit.... even if it is stalker-ish towards you. They at least back up a statement in some way, even if it is reasonably odd.

So just because it's habit it's deemed okay, huh?

Heh, I never said it was deemed okay. Most possibly slightly implied it, but not stating it is.
It's only okay in small, yet weird circumstances.

It's not a good habit to have, screening people's activities.

I only still have those screenies incase somebody needs them. It's not like I care for screenshot'ing peoples posts anymore. Well I do... kinda, but not like before when I was totally obsesed. Most of them were deleted, but there is nothing wrong with having a screenie of someones post count because I saw into the future that this months motm would have a DCC vote. XD

It's not really okay at all...

Actually, the point I was trying to make is that is makes people get the wrong impression of you when you're taking screenshots of their posts and using them to back-up points. It's just weird, you know?

Aw, how sad, Matt wasn't fooled by the theme. XD

Anyways about two months or so ago, you were totally like 'SHOW ME YOUR SCREENIES OF MYSELF' Not exactly, but along those lines. Opinion changed since then?

I find it funny that everyone is up and "OMG" over Matt's post count. So he has a good many in the DCC, so he has over 10K posts. OMG I got more posts then all of you added together, OMG I'm the second highest on the post count list. Big deal, it's just a number. So what if Matt was a little spammy in his past. Back when I was a normal member I used to make 100 posts a day on some days (you can't find the posts here, because that was on the old PC). And is everyone now going to gripe about me making so many posts a day? Everyone going to start "OMG look at Andy's super high post count"? Matt has a high post count, get over it and move on to something else. His post count is not a concern to any of you.

Wait, what? He has over 10k? He's right behind me in the top posters. If he kicks me out of the top ten... >:O

I've never cared about postcount. I never even noticed mine unless someone else brings it up or points it out. The amount of time I've missed milestones completely just made me not care. Though it is kinda cool to be in the top # or whatever.
