This thread is very interesting. And yes facade + guts + burn orb= lol

Well i just like an annoying Dusknoir more than a physical one. That is just my personal preference. I am going to say that Dusknoir must have Pain Split. It is need for killing off Blissey. I guess i can agree with the Mean Look statement. Alter Ego, if you are going to insult by using wtf, then do not bother posting here anymore. Nobody really wants to see that, and it just shows that you are a weak person. With all the attacking moves that Toothache is proposing, it doesnt sound like a wall anymore.

how is this movset:

Dusknoir@ Leftovers
EV's 252 HP, 156 Def, 100 Attack
Impish
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Split
-Focus Punch
-Shadow Punch

focus punch = not good with noir. Good with an elemental punch instead or substitute

Umm...for me wtf just stands for What The Fudge; it's a figure of speech I use and I didn't really think it was offensive. Sorry if you took it that way, though; I'll avoid it in the future. Anyways, one thing you must realize: Dusknoir is not a wall. It has never been a wall and it never will be a wall because its HP is too weak to serve that purpose in the D/P environment. At best it can take some hits when flanked by WoW, but it's still primarily a hard-hitting physical attacker and an anti-spinner. :3

If you're using Mean Look, try this set:

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish/Calm
EV: 252 HP / 132 Def / 126 SpDef
Mean Look
Rest
Shadow Punch/Will-O-Wisp/Toxic
Curse

Basic idea - trap something, use Curse, keep your health alive with Rest. WoW can help you last out too, or Toxic to pile on the damage. Pain Split won't be as effective since Curse (+status) is whittling away their health.

I dont agree, but even if that is true, we could pick better attackers than Dusknoir. Besides, i think he has enough HP to do the job, because he would have Max HP EV's and Leftovers. Shuckle is a Wall that is worthless because it has no HP.

Okay, you're riling against Shuckle but do you realize that Dusknoir has a base HP of 45 (only 25 higher than Shuckle's) and we're talking an environment where anything without at least 100 base in HP and at least one of the defensive stats as well as a solid set of resistances gets mauled? (Even Regice can't wall anymore because of Close Combat and Choice Specs >.<) I blame Life Orb, personally. Also, while it's true that a lot of stuff physical sweeps better than Dusknoir it has two things going for it:

1. The Ghost type, which makes it an Anti-Spinner (I.e. Something you can switch in to prevent your Spikes and Stealth Rocks from being blown away by Rapid Spin).

2. The low base Speed, which makes it a good choice for Trick Room teams.

Oh, and Toothache: that set was risky business back in Advance, but now it's practically suicide since so many more things can punch through Dusknoir/Clops with brute force after you've cursed (I mean, not even Skarm can afford to use Rest these days). It just isn't the same obnoxious presence it used to be. T_T

Well, we already have two physical sweepers, so we dont need a third. My Dusknoir does fine with whatever it goes against usually. I rarely fight whole teams focused on Trick Room, but even so, he would still get both of those advantages if he was defensive. Toothace, most people run Pain Split instead of Rest.

Lets have a fote now. There are three choices to vote on

1. Defensive Dusk

2. Attack Dusk

3. Get Rid of Dusk for somthing else

You can just post the number next to the choice. Here, Majority Rules. I vote 1.

I'd personally use the Focus Puncher I suggested. So, that's a vote for a more offensive one.

Yeah all these offensive items are kinda tipping the balance of the game in the sweepers. They could at least make an item to boost defense and special defense. <.<

Okay I am going to suggest Skarmory. It has decent HP to wall and defenses to back it up. Not to mention it has other uses too such a being a Spiker/Steather and a Pseudo-Hazer.

Skarmory @ Leftovers/Shed Shell
Impish Nature
252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 ATK
-Whirlwind
-Drill Peck
-Roost
-Spikes/Stealth Rock

There is a reason he is so popular. He is the only Pokemon that can wall Garchomp, Tyranitar and Metagross to a certain extent. Im going to suggest Garchomp to because Id like something on our team to have electrical immunity. And once again I put Starmie on the spotlight simply because it/she is the best Rapid Spinner.

Where the hell did you come from? Ah well, the more the merrier. So guys, is that a good Milotic moveset? I don't use it, but it seems good to me.

Alter Ego, welcome to the discussion!

EDIT: We have Electrivire for electric immunity.

Punishment, you are going to turn our team into the OU Mascot. Now we need to consider the element of surprise. Everyone that at least knows a little about pokemon will know to have defenses against Garchomp, Metagross, Milotic, and Skarmory. Do you see a problem? That is more than half our team if we put the two in that you have suggested in. There is a masive advantage to picking pokemon that arnt 100% OU, like Skarm and Garchomp. So here is the vote count so far. sims796, we need you to vote.

Def Dusk: 1

Attack Dusk: 1

New Pokemon: 1

Now here is my suggestion for a Starmie moveset:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid Nature (+SPD,-ATK)
252 SPD, 200 HP, 58 SP ATK
-Rapid Spin
-Recover
-Thunderbolt
-Surf

Unfortunately I am going to vote Dusknoir off. Sorry if this team is beginning to look a little OU but we are trying to build the best team unfortunately and not an original team. Remember we can build an original team in the nest thread to counter this team. ;)

The reason I suggested Skarmory is because we seem to have problem finding a decent physical wall. Not to mention with shed Shell Skarm has a new toy to play with. Thus making it harder to lock on a kill it.

I vote defensive, just a shame that he has such lousy HP...

What are the choices for a new pokes?

I also vote as a def.dusk since I have alerady gotten my choice of pokemon in he party and I really don't think we need a different pokemon since I have seen dusnoir take down Armaldo and Salamence.

But what can we do about his HP.

Only thing you can do really - max HP EV.

Maybe we can work in Grudge? I love spiteful moves like that.

Sure, Grudge is cool, especially combined with Pressure. What move would you replace for it though?

I was going through the pages and it seems that we (or really all of you) never decided on EV's for Togekiss, and this thread was dying fast.
Sp.Atk 252

I think that goes without saying. For the rest I was thiking a split between Speed and Sp. Def/HP.
