We dont have to get rid of Claydol, i just think Magmortar is better, and more adapted to handle different types of pokemon than Claydol. Make sure you vote what you want. This thread is about the majority choice, not just one persons choice. I am afraid that the majority is still in favor for a Defensive Dusk. If more people vote for something different, then i will change.
 
If offensive Dusk means AOA Dusk, it definitely does NOT have my vote.

Rhyperior is a nice physical tank, slow, but can be used to advantage with Avalanche. I prefer it over Dusknoir... Its HP is hideous.

The only thing bad about it is Special Defense and water types. Enigma Berry is nice.

Are we now suggesting another team alteration? We are never going to agree on a team, are we? If that is what you want, then i will help. We have not finished our first vote, so we must make a decision on that before we move on to a new subject. So please finish these off first:

After all of this is settled, then we will move on to Dusknoir. I have only counted the posts after i started the voting, so you may want to post again. Ok here is the little lowdown for Togekiss.

There is a certain speed limit that a Pokemon can reach before no one can outspeed it. most Pokemon are slower then 250. We can pump as much speed into Togekiss and it would be practically a waste. Once Togekiss reaches a certain threshold with her speed not to many Pokemon can outrun her. That is also the same reason Ninjask doesnt get maxed speed. Already a crazy 160 base stat with speed boost.

On the other hand you can never have enough firepower. I want Togekiss to pack a punch even if a Pokemon resists that attack. So yeah max out her special attack. We also have agreed that it is going to be Timid where it gets an extra speed bonus.

As for Garchomp I agree and get rid of Salamence.

As for Claydol I really dont care as long as we have a Rapid Spinner to replace him. I've been vouching for Starmie as of late though as that maybe a great choice. So unless we get a Rapid Spinner to replace it I am going to vote to keep Claydol in.
 
I agree that there is a threshold that most pokemon cant pass. We must decide on that threshold. I will change my vote now. If we can out run most pokemon at a certain point, pump the rest of his EV's into Sp.Attack. Salamence is not on the Team anymore Punishment, here is our team right now:

Electivire
Dusknoir
Togekiss
Metagross

We are not done voting. We still need some votes on the Togekiss matter and the Claydol matter. I will probably not get my way with the Magmortar. :( Oh well.
 
I did vote. I like Magmotar, but don't know what to give up.
 
Well I don't think it matters anymore but i preffer Electivire, but majority rules and they're both powerful pokemon.
I also vote Kiss with maxed Sp.Atk
And I vote we get rid of Claydol, maybe not for Magmortar though, My minds drawing blanks right now.

I think its safe to say that we are going with a Max Sp.Attack and a Garchomp, so just focus on the Claydol poll.
 
Ok all thats left is the Claydol argument. It is kinda split up in different places. So we are going to one last vote for Claydol. I know you probably dont want to, but im going to ask you to vote on the Claydol thing again, sry. That way i know i have all the right votes. I vote to get rid of Claydol, and put in Mamgortar.
 
I vote to get rid of Claydol if we can get a different Rapid Spinner. Otherwise, Skarmory will crap all over this team. >_>
 
Or Magmortar which will kick Skarmory's ass flying up to the moon... I'm not sure if Skarmory has one though.

Magmortar with that special attack and a fire type? Skarmory's worst nightmare.
 
Yeah, I agree. I vote to take off Claydol for either a Rapid Spinner, or Magmortar. A Spinner as one who takes spikes, but Magmortar can actually do something to Skarmory, and even more, Forretress. But for Skarmory, I'll remind you Starmie gets Thunderbolt.
 
I'm not a fan of Starmie, it has a nice movepool, just, it's stats are terrible IMO. Forretress's x4 weaknesses are not fun.

I vote Magmortar.
 
Forretress is a great way to absorb spikes and send them back though. Add explosion and you can damage any number of pokemon that normally cause teams trouble

Magnet Rise could be an option to avoid Earthquakes, but I believe he is to slow to pull it off properly
