The Best Overall Team (Unofficial)

No legends. We all decided on this. Thanks anyway.

Honestly, i like Punishment's choices. It is a very well rounded team. We have to be careful though. Ludicolo is not the best wall in the world (stat wise), so his EV's will be important. Lets see what others have to say, because honestly, i am tired of arguing over the pokemon. It has been a month!?!?!?!?, and we still dont even have our final choices yet. At least we can say that the team was well thought out.

To be honest vaiz, I think the team on your trainer card is the team for this thread and we should get moveset's worked out on them. So I say All of vainz's pokemon.

Cradily and Claydol can go as defensive walls. Ludicolo can be our sponge with that nice 100 base special defense stat.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Calm Nature (SDef+,-Atk)
Swift Swim
252 HP/ 252 SP. DEF/ 6 DEF
-Leech Seed
-Surf/Energy Ball/Grass Knot/Giga Drain/Drain Punch
-Ice Beam/Energy Ball/Grass Knot/Giga Drain/Drain Punch
-Substitute/Synthesis/Protect/Rest/Toxic/Drain Punch

Ludicolo can counter tons of water Pokemon from Milotics to Starmies. As you can see we have many options to its movesets.

Thx ooka_100. My team has rarely let me down. But lets not jump to any conclusions. Besides, i think the team we have here is good. Lets have a vote to make it final. Vote if you want to use Punishments suggested idea.

Thanks Vainz. This is the current suggested team up for vote. I am so glad we snuck in at least two underrated Pokemon and of the grass type too.

Claydol (Ground/Psychic): Water, Grass, Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dark
Togekiss (Normal/Flyig): Electric, Ice , Rock
Metagross(Steel/Psychic): Fire, Electric
Milotic (Water): Electric, Grass
Cradily (Rock/Grass): Ice, Fighting, Bug, Steel
Ludicolo (Water/Grass): Poison, Flying, Bug

I didn't realize we settled on Ludicolo. Not to get ahead, but how will we go about training them?

I say we go with this

ludicolo@leftovers
Swift Swim
Timid/modest-252 special attack/100 speed/158 special defense or hp
rain dance
surf
ice beam/energy ball(stab)
leech seed/synthesis/giga drain

Or we could go with

Ludicolo@leftovers
rain dish
calm-252 special defense/158 hp/100 special attack
synthesis/rain dance
leech seed
toxic
giga drain/energy ball/surf/ice beam

dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... ahh... my head is spinning, trying to read all of this... @.@

I like the idea of Ludicolo.

It really balances things out.

Ludicolo has not been chosen yet. I set it up so you guys need to vote. I just want to get picking the pokemon out of the way so that we can focus on how to set up the pokemon.

Ludicolo
Claydol
Milotic
Metagross
Cradily
Togekiss

By the way I vote for this team.

I say Milotic, Metagross, and Togekiss should definitely stay.

I dislike Claydol for its HP and think he should be taken out.

I haven't looked up Cradily yet, but I remember his defenses aren't too high.

Dusknoir had the same problem but Claydol trumped it because it had more versatility. It can be a Rapid Spinner and a Stealt Rocker. IT had Levitate so it is immune to Ground attacks and also part ground nullifying electrical attacks.

Cradily was chosen because somewhat of its stats. It does have a nice number even though they arent as high as we want them. Yet we chose it because of its ability to learn three important walling moves: Recover, Barrier and Amnesia.

You know what I think, that this is fun and all but none of us are probably gonna actually use this team. Also claydol is good but I have fought some of these pokemon and they have failed miseraly.

I dont like Claydol that much either. But if we change that, then we will have to change other pokemon on the team. The only reason he is on the team is for Rapid Spin. I dont really think it is worth it though.

I lost cause I underestimated 3x Spikes. Rapid Spin is a must, IMO.

I know we need a rapid spinner. Why cant more pokes learn spin? I just dont like Claydol. Every Claydol i have tried to use has never really worked out for me. I say we rearange the team so we can have a different Rapid Spinner. I wouldnt mind Torkoal, Blastoise, or Starmie. Just not Claydol.

Personally the only Pokemon that can replace Claydol is Starmie. The only reason is out of all the Rapid Spinners she is the fastest. Our team is somewhat slow. Only Togekiss can be considered fast and it is mediocre.

Ya, but even that doesnt always work. I agree that our team is Very slow. I would agree to putting Starmie in, but then Togekiss or Milotic would have to go. The only thing is that i really like those two pokes.
