The Best Overall Team (Unofficial)

If what you say is true, then I suggest Starmie, Claydol, or Blissey.

Starmie is hands-down the best Rapid Spinner there is. And we can't really say that we have 1/2 our team weak to electric, cause the other two have terrific sp.def. With Recover, Natural Cure, and great sp.stk, she-and it will be a she-is very useful.

Claydol is another great Rapid Spinner, downsided by Starmie's Recover & Natural Cure, but has more team supporting options, most noticably Rapid Spin & Stealth Rock. It is able to eftectively set up Stealth Rock, with such defenses.

Blissey is for her healing powers. Blissey is the best at what she does: sp.walling & healing. She has her enemies, sure, but why is that? Cause she has great abilities. People fear her, somewhat, which is why she is on so many teams nowadays. Personally, I'd like to avoid her, but that doesn't make her any less amazing.

Excuse the slow type-Wii typing. Apparently, this must be said.

rapid spin support? isn't claydol on the team, that's what he's there for, no?

and if you're so scared of skarms(which i don't see why) then you obviously want magnezone. it's unoriginal, it's boring, but it gets the job done if you're THAT desperate. i don't see why skarms should be much of a concern, but okay.

Read my above post. But I don't get it either. One Thunderbolt & its over.

Obviously i can see that everyone wants Claydol, so he is on the team now. Here is the best team we can come up with:

Milotic
Dusknoir
Claydol
Gallade
Togekiss
Metagross

Lets start working on move sets. We must do this one at a time, otherwise, we will have many different people posting different attacks for different pokemon. Lets go down the list one-by-one. I think someone already posted a Milotic and Dusknoir moveset, so we will start with those two. Just post what you think, and then you can talk about other choices, or your own.

You need a water type killer.

Togekiss@Kings Rock
Trait: Serene Grace
Nature: Timid/Modest

Thunder Wave
Air Slash
Shadowball
Roost/Wish/Nasty Plot

Gallade@Enigma Berry
Trait: Steadfast
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 ATK/ 252 SPEED/ 4 DEF

Swords Dance
Psycho Cut
Close Combat
LeafBlade/Reflect

Metagross@Enigma Berry
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 ATK/ 252 SPEED/ 4 HP

Meteor Mash
Zen Headbutt/EQ
Stone Edge
Hammerarm/Agility

*O.o that wasn't the best Metagross.

I would like to announce that the Ultima Fan Club is up and running. Please post somethings in it so that we can get it going. People will never click on it unless there have been posts and many views. I agree with Penguinpal6 that we need to have some electric power.

I thought we were going to go with electivire, seeing as a thunderbolt, even with no evs in sp. attk will probably take care of skarmory, and cross chop easily takes care of blissey, I think it's the ultimate skarm bliss counter, plus ice punch for salamence and earthquake for infernape.

If we're going with Claydol, Reflect/Light Screen doesn't seem a bad idea. Makes it more of a utility/support Pokemon rather than a defensive wall though.

I know you already out Electivire in the Banner ooka 100, but i think we went with Claydol instead. I would have rather had Electivire, but Majority rules.

Problem with Magnezone these days is most Skarmory users are smart enough to equip Shed Shell so it can easily withdraw for it's mate Blissey. Hmm this will take awhile to figure out.

Sorry Vainz if it looked like I was attacking you. At the moment I dont have much time on PC so I have to post and pour out my entire thoughts on the subject at the spot.

Its fine Punishment, and i understand completely. Yes i think it will be a long time before we have a team that everyone agrees on, and that meets all of our needs. How about we use Electivire? I think it would do fine against a Skarmory. Any powerful Special Fire or Electric type attack will hurt it bad, if not kill it. I am still fine with using Claydol though.

Electrive I admit is a Pokemon I fear solely for its strength and its ability that renders electrical attacks useless. I dont know how many times my opponent has suprised me by switching in Electrive ot my Blisseys Thunder Wave (which is usually standard on her). That extra speed boost allowed Electrive to sweep my team.

So yes I think Electrive is a worthy candidate to consider. ^_^

I hope you guys actually decide to use electivire(since he's my favorite). It's a vote from me. Why would you use 2 physical sweepers on one team, although electivire somewhat doubles as a wall.

I'm all for using Electivire. If theres something that kills Slarmbliss, I wouldn't say no to it.

Some of the pokemon that it can counter are:
salamence
garchomp
infernape
magnezone
metagross
blissey
skarmory
porygon-z
and many more...

Electrive is a worthy candidate so yes if we can stick him in the team somewhere then lets go for it.

Magmortar eats Skarmbliss too. Steels are common so a STAB Fire helps.

Well, we are replacing him for Gallade. Claydol,s not bad.
