The Best Overall Team (Unofficial)

I can't help but notice we're leaning heavely on Milotic. Do we want this, i think Milotic's very reliable so I personally don't have a problem with it.

Edit:301 post!

That is a bit of a problem though. Milotic can take hits and easily defend herself with her attacks but she is gettng alot of weigth.

Then again we do have Ludicolo to pitch in and help.

Steelix would fall to Electrive regardless as most of them also run Earthquake.

Though I still admire the notion of Garchomp as a back up sweeper to Metagross on the team.

i think choice scarf Heracross is a good choice. Now, lets see if people like this team.

Claydol
Ludicolo
Milotic
Metagross
Heracross
Togkekiss

Look at all the o's and s's. Sry. Anyway, I like this team a lot. I would also like to address Blu. I could care less if you say this team fails with no explination at all. Next time, if you want to insult us, please make sure to tell us how the team fails. I will confess that if a person who has the IQ of drift wood were to use this team, they would probably lose. Thats why its not just the pokemon that make this a really good team, it also depends upon the person using it.

Just tell us if you like the team or not.

Alot of these Pokemon are pretty slow, but i guess Choice Scarf Heracross can be good, as well as Agiligross

Has anyone metioned Choice Scarf Porygon-Z yet? :D

I'd recommend Steelix. Immune to Electivire's Electric moves, + Ice Punch won't be as effective. Here's a moveset:

Steelix Item: Leftovers
Quirky nature
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Iron Defense
Dragonbreath

?!?!?! Iron Defense?! Dragonbreath?!

Iron Defense: Steelix already has a monstrous defense to absorb almost any Earthquake. Replace this for Stealth Rock.

Dragonbreath: Steelix with a Sp. Attack? I laugh at that.. replace with Rest.

Ah yes, rushed to the Steelix comment, Earthquake and Cross Chop are not something you want your steelix up aganst for too long. Even though his major defenses help him out.

I stil support Mamoswine, Dragons are everywehre these days. A jolly Garchomp to out run Electivire is a good idea too.........Electivire's not going to survive very long. Its defenses arn't built to take STABed Earthquakes (Mamoswine has that too.)

Edit: We've gone through porygon-Z already it was a little fragile, of course we have a different team now. I think its still coming down to Mamoswine and Garchomp right now. Plus we're looking for physical support.

Well I think our team has enough support to have three Pokemon weak to Ice types. We have Milotic and Lusicolo with monstrous defense and recovery moves to gobble it up. I like Garchomp because he trumps alot of other Pokemon with his speed. He will outrun an Electrive and smash it to bits.

I meant jolly Garchomp to out run jolly Electivire. I think we're going to have to wait for everyone elses say in. A adamant Electivire will get killed by any Garchomp though. I still support Mamoswine, though our team is a little slow, maybe Garchomp is the way to go. I'm a little two faced on this.

I'd also like to review Togekiss' moveset. I just relized she is one of the only few Pokemon that can take SkarmBliss on successfully. Flichhax Togekiss is good but Id rather us counter the metagame.

Ive tried the Timid nature with max speed. It doesnt help out unfortunately. Thunder Wave is not an option because of the likes of Garchomp and especially Electrive. Give Electrive that extra juice and your team is screwed if you dont have a counter.

Togekiss@Leftovers
Modest Nature
Ability: Hustle
EV spread: To be determined... (Basically 252 in Sp. Atk and the rest in HP and Defenses.)
-Nasty Plot
-Aura Sphere
-Flamethrower
-Roost

Sure Blissey has a huge base HP and decent Sp. Defense but she aint going to be taking those Aurasphere's really well. Especially since Blissey is an easy Pokemon to setup with via Nasty Plot.

Skarmory can simply be dispatched via Flamethrower even without STAB since Togekiss has a massive base Special Attack stat.

If you are also worried about Togekiss' lack of speed Skarmory has a base of 70 and Blissey 55. Togekiss has a base of 80 so she is safe to strike them out first.

Garchomp doesnt really have much of a problem outrunning Electivire with the right Nature, and Ev's

well I have an awesome togekiss that looks like this

Togekiss- not sure of nature sorry
@ leftovers
1/3 of EV's in each (not sure of exact numbers) sp. atk, sp. def speed
flamethrower
air slash
aura sphere
roost.

with the sp. def EV's most thunderbolts can't kill him
and he has a 31 in hp so it's pretty high too, he works pretty well for me.

Nameless your a little late.

Anyways. How well does Wish work on Togekiss, I guess it depends actually on how much defenses your giving it.

Okay Togekiss obviously has a lot of potential, for many different things.
I run my'n modest with 252 Sp. Atk/176 Spd and 80HP. (or 156/100) Its a little odd I know but it gets the job done okay too.

Crap, Punishment I'm staring at that Togekiss, And I'm kicking myself about my Togekiss.

I kicked myself about my own Togekiss too. It has max Sp Atk and Speed with a Timid nature and specializes in Paraflinch haxing. It isnt the best despite everyone making it sound great.

I've been searching for a counter to SkarmBliss (since it is so annoying) and it hit me today that Togekiss beats them both up.

Wish is a great move but it depends on the EVs. If Togekiss was more wall oriented then Wish is an awesome move. But since we are more offensive oriented Roost would be a better choice because a delayed Recover (which is basically Wish) can cost Togekiss her life.

I am actually suprised this set isnt common so I am going to name it the Anti-SkarmBLiss set.

Ya I edited my post becaue I saw another set and didn't want to show favourtism, I still stand by that comment, even though the Togekiss I run is different from the Anti SkarmBliss set and the normal ones. I think your set is really good for waht we'd use it for.
Not sure about the EV's, speed always helps. I'm glad someone agrees on running a Modest Togekiss and instead of Timid though.

Well through trail and error the extra speed doesnt help her out much unless she was running Choiuce Scarf. Togekiss can run a variety of jobs but she cant be a special sweeper unfortunately. She is somewhat in Milotic position. Great stats overall and with a great movepool (Milotic actually lacks this) but she aint made for sweeping.

She can still knock off a few Pokemon though. ^_^

Ok, so we are wanting a Garchomp or Mamoswine? Well i think we should get some Speed on the team while were at it, and i think Garchomp is a lot better of a Sweeper. So Garchomp gets my vote.

We have many options with Togekiss, but before we get started on movesets, could we make sure that everyone agrees on the team first?

Garchomp
Metagross
Milotic
Ludicolc
Claydol
Togekiss

This is the team we are voting on now. If you want, just say so. And Everyone, Please Join the Jedi Academy in Other Clubs. Thx.

By the way, this team has my vote. Metagross with one stab Meteor Mash could take out Aerodactyl. He might have to suffer an Earthquake, but i think he could take it. Besides, its almost impossible to make a GOOD team that has no weakness to one pokemon, so we have to take our chances sometimes.

A boltbeamer with a flying move, but we're going to run into weaknesses, thats where the trainers mind comes in. I don't think any boltbeamer will have the defenses to last against us.

I like the team but I'm wondering how my team would fair aganst it, all of a sudden. (even if my team consists of 9 pokemon cause I can't part with three.)

Dang it, I missed alot. I'm in South Carolina, so computer time is limited to outside the hotel. If anyone can PM me updates, that would be helpful.
