I liked this chapter quite a bit.
Ichigo has finally come to terms with and accented both sides of his powers equally.
And so he get TWO FREAKIN' SWORDS! :D
I can't wait to see how he uses them both!
Plus, he might start using Quincy, Vizard and Soul Reaper powers all together.
Heck, Kubo could even have him use some Fullbring again too.

Although this chapter did have a typical Kubo cliffhanger ending. :/

I think Hichigo could be more than just the hollow powers.

Remember the hollow that Ichimum absorbed was made from the soul of a Shinigami.

As for Old Man Zangetsu

it seems as if he's used the hollow as an Asauchi and is channelling his power through that. Getsuga Tenshou and the Final Getsuga Tenshou have always seemed more Quincy than Shinigami so I guess that would explain that.

I was thinking the same until he didn't use the attack in the flashback. He used it vs Aizen when his Shinigami powers clearly weren't fully back.

My guess would be on of these;
.He learnt it from Masaki/Ryuuken
.He saw Ichigo use it and copied it
.Urahara SCIENCE

That could then lead you to ask how he knows about the other forms. After seeing Old Man Zangetsu materialised it wouldn't surprise me if Yoruichi could inform Urahara/Isshin about him. They could easily know about Bach and work out what is happening inside Ichigo. They could work out that Ichigo's powers are almost all modified Quincy powers and work out that the final stage of Ichigo's power would be a modified version of the Destruction Sage thing Uryuu used in SS. Initially we all thought Isshin lost his power because he used it, that obviously wasn't the case though, he lost them helping Masaki.

Don't you think the recent chapters support this? Old Man Quincy power relinquishes his hold/control and his real power is unleashed.

Uryu has always been wearing white, text! He's had a cape since SS arc! Stop trying to imply otherwise!



Though in all seriousness, I hope this means some glory coming in Uryu's direction. He deserves more than what he's got so far.
... I suspect this will only mean bad luck to him, though. That's usually what happens when you join the opposing side, throwing away all your allies, and no one on the opposing side likes you to begin with.

Also another theory. Ichigo doesn't look like Kaien because of family resemblance

he is literally a reincarnation.

Ichigo's Hollow was made from the base of a Shinigami soul, what if that was Kaien? The only evidence would be that whenever that hollow attacked it rained. Kaien's power was water.

Also Kaien's wife looked like Rukia, not evidence at all but I'm sure shippers would like that.

Considering it apparently happens often, I wonder if the guys are aware of it beforehand and consider it an honour, or they just think they're getting laid.

She did noticably unzip the shirt for the occasion, which could imply fuging between the two. But he definitely wore pants as he died. It's likely she had started some sort of foreplay just for the heck of it, oooorrrrr maybe she's actually using the power of her cleavage to chop him in half. Wouldn't even be surprising.

Oh hey, new chicks. The normal repertoire of girls we won't remember, their names being terrible as per usual (especially as I'm well enough indulged in germanic languages to instantly see the butchering of words). Foul mouth loli is awesome though.
