First Nel falls from the sky (I'm assuming from a Garganta) and lands on Ichigo, to ask for help.
Then we learn that Harribel is now a damsel in distress! D:
If that sick ******* has or does lay a perverted finger on her, I'll decapitate him! You with me, MC?
Like everyone else, I'm just wtfing here...How could this have happened?
And apparently the leader of Vandenreich is making some kind of Arrancar Quincy hybrids? o.0
It's just so much info right now, it has me on the virtual edge of my seat!
I can't wait for the next chapter, even though I'll have too.
But the wait is already half over, so that's good! :D

Pretty good final episode. They pushed out the fighting for some heart-warming finishing touches. I'm actually content with this being the final ep, even if the manga continues, it's a good standard shounen ending.

For an Arc-finale it's good, by all means, but if this is the actual final-final episode and they don't make a movie or another series in a few years, I think it was a total let down.

Nothing really got resolved... they accepted Ichigo as a substitute soul reaper - which he was for most of Bleach anyway, so what's new?

I feel like a true finale should have some kind of monumental change, i.e. He is promoted and welcomed into soul society as a Captain, or the opposite and he is left to leave a normal life. There should also be a flash-forward a few years to see how happy the characters are or whatever :P Cliché but final.

I'm hoping the ending was left so open because they do intend on finishing sometime in the future. Other anime have got extension seasons beforehand so it wouldn't be surprising, and it might up the quality of the final arc if time is taken on that rather than filler episodes for however long.

For a typical shounen like Bleach, where things continue on without much change usually anyway, him staying a substitute shinigami even though people feared he wouldn't is final episode-material already o3o

...Of course I'd enjoy a more interesting ending, but would they make such a radical change themselves, potentially ruining any sequels? Don't think so :P

One thought though.

Yuzu welcomed him when he appeared in the air as a shinigami. So does that mean she can actually see him properly now, and furthermore, are they implying his sisters know everything now? :O

Fullbring arc was rounded off pretty nicely in the anime, tis a shame that it's ending but I'll keep hoping for the final arc.

lol Pesche. Good ol' comedy. I missed these guys.

I absolutely LOVED Byakuya's speech. It definitely gave me a lot more respect for a quiet character like Sasakibe - especially since he learnt Bankai before Kyouraku and Ukitake but wanted to stay Yamamoto's Lieutenant. If he used bankai in his last fight, it's possible that we might see it in a flashback. Though a part of me thinks that it would have been really nice to see him fight and die like this. If this gets animated, then I think that they should add it in, as well as his cremation - a very Sasakibe-central episode would be nice.

So Dondochakka is also captured? I wonder where he is... All I know is that it'll be a funny reunion when he sees them again.

Haha, Ishida and Ichigo always have funny encounters. Woo, Urahara!

It might just be the scans that I'm reading, but one of the scanlators put "White haired guy:" in the speech bubble. Looks like he misread the script.

I wonder how they're going to steal Ichigo's bankai... I hope they succeed 8D

Overall, not a bad chapter. The pacing is speeding up slightly, with Nel having just entered, and Urahara coming to take them away now.

Apart from the learning the fact that Sasakibe had bankai before Kyouraku and Ukitake actually did, nothing else was of much interest to me.
I mean, it does set the frame nicely. At least now we know how he knew of the Quincys'/whatever race's ability to steal bankai; he was the victim. And it actually worked; it only didn't work on Ichigo, I'm guessing because of the somewhat same reasons why Kageroza wasn't able to copy him, for anyone who watched the filler.

But one thing that bothered me was... If he is indeed an experienced Vice Captain, why the heck was he sent to patrol the barriers from outside during the FKT arc? Sure, he didn't become a Captain because he was loyal to Yamamoto, but that still doesn't prevent him from joining the fight inside. We could've then seen some of his powers.

Either there's a specific reason to that, or Kubo forgets, or he just pulled "Choujiro already had a bankai looooooooooooooooong time ago" out of his random a**. As per usual

I mean, sheesh. It makes sense, of course, that he's at least very powerful, since he's the longest Lieutenant to have ever served, but still.. The only time he was seen in the FKT arc was when Shinji & co. appeared. >.>

Anyway like ILPy said, I'm expecting a flashback of his fight. Ah well. Or maybe if his bankai was stolen, it would be... used by the Quincys.
