Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around in a while.
I watched episode 366 earlier today on Crunchyroll.
I noticed a couple things in the the scenes during the ending credits...

Spoiler:

Soifon was beating up on two wooden posts with pictures of Urahara and Shinji on them.
I didn't know that she has a problem with Shinji... >.>
Did I just miss something earlier?

And the scene where Kira, Hisagi, and Tetsuzaemon are drinking together.
Kira seems to be on a drunken rant about his new captain, Rose.
I wonder if this will be some kind of foreshadowing for future chapters/episodes.

In other news, I've also finally reached the first episode in the anime which has MASK for the ending. (The last ending song...)

And in commemoration of that, I was bored (and avoiding homework) so I downloaded all the opening and ending songs and made a playlist of them. =D

Ah the nostalgia...

From the top of my head I know Asterisk already existed, but they made an alternative version of the song just for Bleach.
Alones I know for a fact already existed.

...I guess you could assume none of the others were made specifically for Bleach either, since their lyrics would most likely be Bleach-related in that case.

Most of the time they're new songs for opening and endings, couldn't tell you which ones were just selected from an album though. Reason is the bands use it as marketing, not really worth marketing an old song now is it.

Did you guys hear Scandal's cover of Asterisk and Alones? (You know, Scandal is the group that did Shoujo S, the 9th(?) opening, and the last opening Harukaze... Asterisk is the 1st opening and Alones is the 5th? 6th? something like that... Too lazy to look it up.) But yeah, with Harukaze they seem to have released covers of those two songs.

Listened to them. They're good, but I am just so used to the originals (which I must have been listening to for how many years now?) that they just sound... strange to me. Though I'll admit, the first singer right at the beginning of Alones was really good. I think to someone who hadn't heard the originals first (or hadn't heard them for a long time before hearing this one), it would be a good song.
Don't think I'll listen to it very often though.

I'd have to double check on each of them (which I am too lazy to), but I'm pretty sure that they're just popular rock/pop songs that have been cut down and slapped with some animation. I'm pretty sure that's standard nowadays, and in fact, the only anime that I can think of off of the top of my head that had a song made for it was Dragonball Z.

For the openings/endings it depends from anime to anime, song to song.

Some anime have songs done specifically for them, most notably the ones which have the seiyuu sing the themes. (More often those are slice of life or romantic comedies though.)

For Bleach, mostly they are just regular songs.

I don't know if some of them were written with Bleach in mind or not, but maybe. It's hard to know. I do know that some of them got a later actual release than the song's TV debut though. (I'm pretty sure chAngE is one of them...?)

I'll do some research later and let you guys know. I want to know too - I really love finding out more about Japanese music. XD

He's making sure to prevent the recent incident from happened again.
I think he's one of those kind of fighters that pissing them off only makes them more deadly.

Mayuri ordered his Squad to kill off Rukongai members? Certainly sounds like him. I guess I forgot how... heartless he could be, given that in the last arc he was mostly with Nemu and fellow Captains.

"You failed to kill that man." I'm assuming this is the Emperor Zangetsu they are talking about. Or.. his great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather maybe, since Quincys live a normal human life, no?

Ah well. Don't go fighting with each other yet, the Quincys are coming.

OH BOY, GERMAN. IT'S LIKE IN THE BOUNT ARC AGAIN (AKA this is going to be so awkward in the anime).

So the evil captain guy pulls out his sword-bow (nicccceee) and prepares to fight le Ichigo (still), we get to see some cool Vice-captain stuff and Kurotsuchi is making a surprising amount of sense... WAIT WOULDN'T THAT MAKE THE EVIL QUINCY MASTER BLOW PEOPLE'S HEADS UP-MAN 1000 YEARS OLD? DAFAAAAAA-

Yeah, the Japanese seiyuu do seem to struggle with other languages, I guess they are probably just reading a script and haven't actually studied it. I hope it's better than Asuka though.

Hmm, I wonder if Nemu is lying, or if Mayuri honestly kept her out of it.
And this seems like a pretty grievous thing that Mayuri has done, even if he was just trying to keep the balance of souls.
I'm wondering if he will have to face any repercussions later.
This seems to be a pretty complicated matter, kind of like with the Fullbringers.

On Ichigo's side, looks liek we're gonna get to see a good fight soon!
I like how observant Ichigo is in battle.
Kind of helps make up for him not having many special abilities. xD
Kirge Opie is quite interesting, using his sword as a Quincy bow too.
This is the the kind of variety in abilities that I expect from Kubo. :)

What's the difference between similar and unoriginal? ==" In both cases, Ichigo goes to HM to save someone, and the enemy in HM goes out of it because he knows Ichigo is there.

Actually, that's where the unoriginality kicks in. If he just mentioned he was only going to SS, that's acceptable. But when he said that now Ichigo is at HM, he can go to SS, well, that makes it to be a lot similar to Aizen's case. Though Aizen's intention was maybe to split the SS Captains into two parts.

Now, if the story was, like, the Emperor goes to SS, Ichigo tries to go there but gets blocked or something, so he goes to HM instead, now that's a different story.

At any rate.. *expects to see some fighting next week*
