I enjoyed the scene setting and flashback part of FI a lot. I hear that the last 20eps of the arc have horrible pacing though, with 50 episodes from 51 chapters I guess the fights were always gong to suffer.

Kubo pulled another cliffhanger, but at least by the end of the chapter it was revealed that the full bringers are here. :O I was hoping to get some arrancar to help, but I guess the full bringers want something in return from the soul society. The return of Shiba family. <3

Okay, so I'm pretty sure that's gonna be Grimmjow there in Urahara's tent. Would make the most sense, really.

And it seems like Ganjo will be looking differentl-
...Oh, he has the antagonist-mullet. Aaaand he's with the backsides of three dead fullbringers. (Ginjo, Ganjo. Inbf they're the same guy) I'm thinking they'll just be short-lived, Kubo-style BS fakes, actually I'm hoping they will. But, uh. I guess they might actually be the real deal ("WE WERE JUST HOLDING BACK. ILLUSIONS, ETC. FOR HOW LONG WERE YOU UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT..."). Having Arrancars and possibly Aizen back is cool, but bringing the fullbring into this I don't like the sound of.

They just feel like filler arc characters. No furblingers pls.

Overall, I liked this chapter.
Some elaboration info and tie-ins to previous stuff.

A good amount of humor too. :)
Byakuya floating in the water made me laugh so much.
Ichigo and Rukia's butts in the same panel, oh dear...
Beats and peaches, what a great snack! XD

So Kirinji's healing technique is some special hot spring water, hmm.
It's interesting at the least; those Japanese sure love hot springs.
But I wonder what his Kido based techniques are like.
I also wonder if the hot spring was what Kiriji was referring to earlier, with Unohana.

We get a tease at what the Spirit King looks like...
He has black/dark hair, and weird eyes. *shrug*

So I guess we'll get to see some spirit king action soon. Will be fun.
And now that I think about it, he does look a lot like fabulous Aizen. And it's interesting to now know more about his plan. Though how exactly he intended to create life, since all the ball of stuff seemed to want to do was morph him into butterfly monsters, I'm still curious about.
Maybe Aizen will get some revenge.

Actually I hope he will. As long as he's not a butterfly he's a pretty badass enemy or ally.

The Yachiru we all know and love was named after the person Kenpachi respected, we knew she was strong but this is great. This pretty much confirms my thought that she was held back by Yamamoto because of collateral damage, remember what his bankai did?

HOLY ****! DAT ENDING!

I didn't even see that coming.
The first 2/3 of manga were relatively normal.
Kyoraku is promoted to Head-Captain & Captain of Squad 1.
Ichigo and Renji are all healed up and move onto the next floating city.
Kyoraku takes on two Lieutenants, a little bit surprising
And then....

UNOHANA WAS THE FIRST KENPACHI?! :O
I know it's been said that she's probably the best Captain in Zanjutsu, but dayum.
And Kubo revealed her apparent true name, Yachiru Unohana....
Well I guess we finally know who Zaraki named his Lieutenant after.

If Kubo is going to beef up Kenpachi Zaraki, then he needs to make Lieutenant Yachiru fight seriously too.
After say that to a friend, he showed me this comment on reddit...
"If kubo trolled us when he said we would see yachiru fighting in this arc and he meant only unohana Im going to lose my ****."
Which I totally agree with, but I'm hoping Kubo is playing a little different than normal with this arc.

Manga 521

Ya know, I've been liking the manga ever since it started on this Royal Guard saga.
The Quinzi Invasion saga really pissed me off and made me ask wtf a lot.
The current saga so far has had good pacing, interesting characters, good humor, and some nice teases of future events.
If the the rest of the arc is going to be more like the current saga, plot structure wise, then I think Kubo might actually end the series well.

Well, now we know why former Captain Kirio Hikifune is known as the Ruler of Grain.
I wonder how Sanji from One Piece could compare to her cooking. xD
It was funny and neat how she changes form after cooking. ;p
Anyone else notice that Kirio wears Crocs?

So former Captain Flava Flav created the sword form of zanpakutos?
I'm guessing that Ichgio and Renji might go through some special form of Jinzen in the next palace.
It might be wear they will "re-forge" their zanpakuto to make them strong again.
Too bad Ikkaku isn't there with them, if that's what they'll do.
