Why did Dusclops get an evolution, when Banette didn't?

Because Banette won't need to evolve into a new Pokemon, it will look ugly. So Dusclops gets an evolution.

Hey guys, I feel this club is slowing it's pace a little bit... what about a heavy topic? Ghost pokémon are creepy... but are they "ghosts" or gas-like creatures? (that wasn't an official topic, just a wondering)
 
I... Hey, that's a good question :D

I suppose some of them are ghosts, and some are gas.
Like Ghastly, he's a gas-pokémon. (I think)
 
I mean, are they like, dead? Ghosts, as in ghosts in churchyards and so, they are dead spirits mostly. But ghost pokémon are "ghost" type just because they're scary, right? They're not... dead?

(I strongly feel like I've been having this conversation with somebody earlier. Jason, perhaps)
 
I wonder, if they are ghosts, how they looked like alive?
They weren't born gas-like, right?
Can you imagine what an alive ghastly looks like?
 
Guuaäugh.... yuck. No. I think Gastly and all other pokémon were born as ghosts, actually. They're not dead.

... I've been thinking, that's why I'm so straight sure now ^^
 
Yes, you're probably right, in the games they hatch from their eggs as ghosts.
