Hmm... well I never used it in my game. I already had a water type to use.

Umm.. well there's a couple of ways.

1. If it has an attack that's not in its movepool. Checking Serebii's pokedex might help.
2. If it's in a place that it can't be caught in. E.g. "Dialga Caught in Route 202"
3. If it has perfect IVs, (this one's harder to tell, unless it's an egg I think)

That's it I think...
