I used it last night and I didn't want to put it down anywhere, in fear of I'd burn the carpet or the computer. XD;
 
hair straighteners aren't all that scary, however If done right the results can be great. I've never done it myself, but back in my long hair days (when I had all of my hair :*( )My girlfriend tried to straighten mine and I only got slightly burned because I woke up.
