True.

Because the Wii is directed at families with young kids and whatnot.

That's probably the reason why I didn't get a Wii and got a PS3 instead. n_n

That's why my parents got me and my sister a Wii. It's been great for family games and whatnot. I always get beaten in Wii Sports, but, still. Losta fun. XD;

The only good movie games I've seen was The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Both by EA... but still, I really liked them games. O_o
All the others (Star Wars) were crap.
I don't suppose you've played, say, Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Outcast, Empire at War, the first two games in the Rogue Squadron series, the first two games in the Battlefront series, or the Lego Star Wars games, now have you?

The Star Wars franchise is obviously not immune to the problems inherent to licensed games, but there really are some good games based on it nonetheless.

The Wii's game selection is too childish.

I never thought so.

I mean, these are some on nintendo's biggest franchises we're talking about.
they can't just go:

OH- The Mario Franchise has begun to become to childish!
WE BETTER DROP IT FOR SOMETHING VIOLENT AND FILLED WITH GUNS AND
EVIL CREEPY NUNS AND ZOMBIES!!!1

The fact of the matter is that they are pointed more to a younger age group.
so as my suggestion to you,
Get a 360 for more mature game selection.

Yeah, that's why I never play my Wii. All of my games on my 360 are rated M for the most part, which IMO, are the best.

Edit:

I have a 360.

The Mario series almost literally bores me to tears. I got Super Mario Galaxy and was expecting a great game and it ended up being a let-down in my eyes.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, we jumped on you about TWEWY, but that's cause you never gave the game a chance.

I'm not a fan of Star Wars, that's why I don't play the games so my opinion is non-existent. Though Knights of the Old Republic was a flipping sweet game >_>

Lego Star Wars is the only reason I care about the franchise. I know, it's a shame, but them games are awesome fun ^^ Lego Batman should be just as cool.

And Chikara, there was really no need to pounce Jack about the game, it isn't all that great. I'm curious as to why everyone is so excited about it.

tyranitar_dude: So does blood + sex + brown (for realism) = good?

I didn't really, but okay, sorry.
It's a Square Enix thing, that's how I found out about it XD;

nonono, you don't have to apologise, I wasn't implying that you had done something wrong. I meant that the game isn't that good, that's all. Jack's old enough to defend himself anyway :P

Yeah, that's probably the most of the reason why the game has received any attention, since it's from Square-Enix.

Indeed.

I actually quite like the game from what i have heard, but there are always the people who give bad reviews to take into consideration, i think if this game was exactly the same, except made by say THQ. I think it would get a lot of less attention, but gradually more and more.

One of the only problems I've heard is it's too hard at some points. (This is true)
One of the problems I FOUND was that the cutscenes before boss battles are waaaay too long. (I hope people agree or I'll feel dumb ;; )

...But that's not enough to make me even think it's not a fun game (b' ')b

I don't find it too hard. There were some fights that were just IMPOSSIBLE but that's because my ego wouldn't let me do them on any setting less than Normal (or Hard/Ultimate when I got them) and I tend to keep my level at at least half of my full level. @_@; So long as you go through it at a steady pace (ie, stop for a battle every now and then, don't just race through), then I find the difficulty is either perfect or too easy--and too easy is fixable.

I don't mind the long cutscenes--almost every game (especially Square-Enix) is like that. Not to mention once you get the sticker that lets you retry battles, it's really not so bad. Mind you, I'm still irked that they didn't give you that option from the get-go, but I can't complain. XD

I honestly haven't been so enamoured with a game in a long time. :B Not since KH or the Tales games, and I've played a lot of games since then. I just adore this game to pieces; the characters, the battle system, the overall controls, the use of the DS, the music, the characters, the math, the... okay if I keep going about half the references will be to the guy in my sig, so I'll stop. XD But I adore the game.

The only thing I don't like about Square Enix games is their cuts scenes are really good, but the game graphics are really shabby. They could have made both the cut scenes and the game graphics the same...

I can't believe I just said that.. XD;

I've never found their game graphics to be horrible. For the most part, they do a good job with the in-game graphics. The FMVs are obviously a lot better because they're pre-rendered. But if you look at, say, Kingdom Hearts? Most of the cutscenes look on par with the gameplay. :B

FFXII had gorgeous ingame graphics and the FMVs literally made my jaw drop. Too bad the story and characters were sacrificed. =/
