I did Romeo and Juliet in Grade Nine and found it ridiculous, and last year, I did Othello. Not as ridiculous as R&J, but ridiculous nonetheless. XD; Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to reading MacBeth this year. The Shakespeare units are my least favourite parts of English as well, although I don't really like English in any case. :x
okay miss I'm-too-cool-for-shakespeare-lol >:( IT'S NOT THAT BAD! Like, he actually was a slightly humorous and witty! Our teacher had to re-phrase one of his jokes in Hamlet and our whole class found it pretty dang good.

Romeo and Juliet was alright, I mean they were a very clingy and VERY annoying couple :/ I'm sure if they gave it a couple of months, they wouldn't have been so dramatic about the whole thing. And shame on Juliet for faking her own death, it's her fault D<

It's just not my cup of tea, I guess. D: Not just that, but I've never had a teacher who properly explained R&J or Othello.

I thought Othello (the character) was pretty dumb. I mean, I liked him at the beginning... kinda, but over the course of the play, our class began to hate him so much. XD;

I dig, I dig :) and Othello the name reminds me of chello :x if I'm gonna complain about Shakespeare, I have to say I cannot stand the names. They're so confusing and the spellings are hard ;; Claudious, Polonious, Othello, Ophelia, Mercutio, etcetc. It's always a big chunck of our quizzes.

THE GREAT GATSBY it seemed to me it was just a bunch of rich people showing off there wealth I didnt care much for it.I thought Macbeth was pretty good its better then having to read Jane Erye.Btw
Spoiler:
myself I prefer adventure storys like the Odyssey or Huck Finn.

SOHCAHTOA~ ♥

Trig was my favourite in grade 10. And after that it goes downhill and, sadly, it's probably one of my least favourite parts of math. XD; It's just so complicated now and almost everything else is more enjoyable. Oh god, trig identities make me cry because I'm too lazy to memorize all of them. T_T;
IT'S SO MUCH FUN TO SAY ♥

Trig identities sucked testicles. Once you just started adding on all that extra stuff in senior classes it just got absurd and memorising them became too much of a chore.

My favourite part of math was deductive geometry. Actual geometry was annoying cause of all the drawing, but deductive geometry was the sort of math I really liked.
*sigh*

At this point I am just thankful I am not currently in highschool and don't have to worry to much about that stuff just this second xD

I often get scared when college is brought up..... I don't know.... Everyone says you're performance in 8th grade determines ultimately what college you can go to, because if you do well you will be placed into advanced classes, and then into a better (or more prestigious I might say) college...... who knows I may be getting my facts alll wrong xD
I know that here in Australia your marks in year 9 can be used to an accuracy of 50% to predict your marks at the end of year 12. I wish that was true for me XD;
Math has always been a pain. ;;
And physics = eww... :<
Basically, I'm a history freak. XD;
History rules. I don't understand why some don't appreciate it.
Math = who's bright idea was that?

English/Reading/Writing/History/Biology/Anthropology/Archeology = awesometasticfandabulistic. Yeah. I said it.
Right. Diss math when when without it we wouldn't have so much in our lives. Like your house was probably built with the help of an engineer who has to be very proficient in math :P

That's not even a real word!!!

They test you on the names? What a waste of time.

I liked the combinatorics unit in math class. All the 6/49 lottery calculations, phone number and license plate possibilities.

Then there was 58008 on the upside down calculator. And games on th TI graphic. I miss Asteroids on my calculator. Too bad we were not allowed them, come Math Finals. *sad*

I hate Math, hate hate hate x_x; It's not that I don't grasp it or anything, I pick it up like that, it's just boring and tedious to me; almost none of it challenges me anymore :| And, sadly, the state I live in requires 4 high school credits of Math to graduate, so that's four years right there. I've had friends who only had to have TWO credits, and here I am having to do 4 ;w; Something isn't right here.

As for Engliiiish, I hate it too :x It's my worst subject, by far. I mean, I always get good grades on stories/essays that I have to write, but I just don't grasp the general grammar or anything. It's all so confusing to me @_@;

doesn't the majority of people hate math? in case you didn't know, 70% of ppl in my school FAIL math.

I don't hate math, I mean I will do it, and not argue but I don't like it. I think English is one of the most important subjects in the world, after math. The reason for this is, say you are applying for a job and it asks for your name and you can't spell. That would make you look pretty...not fit for the job.

I liked maths. maybe because I'm asian?

I hated english though.. :< I got a better grade in maths than in english. D;

But I only hated english because I hate doing essays. ._.

I am amazed I got a B in Maths and an A in English. I was so surprised. I suck at maths, I think I was the last one in year 1 too learn how to do the X tables. And I think I was the last one too find out how to do division. I got my LAN test results back today, I am in grade 7 and I got grade 8, 8, 9, 8:)

I was also amazed I got an A in Visual Arts. I was astounded when I found this out, I have had a habit of terrible drawings. Grade 7, still draw stick figures and people:)

Yeah, it is basically art I guess. We did lots of different drawings, and we had too do lots of 3D lettering, my friend cheated and used stencils haha.

Yeah, since the Government have changed the grading system over here, getting a C is now like getting a B. So getting an A is a hard task now. For a year 7 too get an A we would have too be working at year 9 level. Hard stuff:(

And yeah, he got caught. He just took the yelling but still got an A for some reason.

well you do need math for the future (bills and whatnot) but the only part of math that I excell in is Algebra, and it is Really easy surprisingly, but for now, we're doing the polynomial stuff which I hate.
Hate to break it to you, but polynomials ARE algebra. :(

Hopefully you'll be reading Hamlet in grade 12. I actually really liked it, compared to the other Shakespeare they had us reading. (I didn't mind Macbeth though. At least you probably won't have to read King Lear. I didn't like that one at all. XD)
Haha lmao I never heard of visual arts i don't think we do that here in england.. we just do art and design i think..
Visual arts is that, I suppose. :| It's specified here because most schools also offer drama, music, etc. which are also part of the arts.

ohgod I love that. ♥ I hate graphing or drawing things because it takes SO LONG unless you're just supposed to sketch (in which case it still takes a while, bah), but I just adored the deductive, inductive proofs and whatnot. 8D Cryptography is really, really interesting too.

Probably only to see if you're reading the book. 8/ I mean, if you're reading and you don't know the names of the characters and who they are, you're going to fail and not understand any of the book... which defeats the whole point of reading it. But a lot of people won't read it if they aren't going to be tested on it.
