Most people don't forget what they learnt, they spend hours sticking it in their brain and if they study well before the exam they shove it in the back of their brain and when they need it, it comes to the front.
 
I don't know why many people say that you'd forget everything you learned if you crammed just before entering an exam. It really seems like one of those "urban myths" but to a lesser degree in my opinion. I do it occasionally and it works pretty well, but studying in advance is certainly still better in every way.
 
Cramming is better then not studying at all. I mean, it's better start studying about a week or so before test, and probably even a bit earlier. But I've totally been caught cramming the night before an exam =P
 
I can't cram. I study day by day, so one day before the test I lie in front of the TV and watch something interesting, or go hang out with my friends.
 
I hate cramming, but that's what I end up doing most of the time. :< Taking the time to study every day helps a lot more in the long run (exams), but cramming has done me pretty damn well, not gonna lie.

I wish I could say the same..but I suppose it depends a) when you're cramming and b) how long you have before your exam. For instance, I tried cramming before a Biology test, basically 2 1/2 hours before (I studied right up to walking into the room) and I got like, a B- (81%).

But when I crammed the whole day before, then simply reviewed my notes the morning of, I get a 93 or 96. I know i'll ace my last test on Genetics, which will be nice compared to the random 84s I got on my last two tests.

As for my three papers..well...they better be As. XD I need good grades for transfer consideration into like, 4 schools for next Fall.
 
Yeah, that's the same for me. XD; I absolutely hate cramming, though; I'll avoid it if I can.
 
Even though I hate it, I always cram before test. XD;
If I weren't so lazy, and if I actually studied before the week of the exam, I'd probably do better on test. XD;

This is my first post in like months...so like yay for me. XD; <3

It's like a type of food to me now.
I need it to survive.

Luckily, Our spanish teacher gives us 5 minutes for small cramming.
I aced a test that way.

Even though, Studying would be a better choice. [/moral]

...I'm seeing not.
I have two siblings in Colleage right now, actually (Sister: Senior, Brother: Freshman).

So, I've seen that they have been priding themselfs for having a C sometimes.

and craming is... Not so much the answer rather than:
"STUDY OR YOUR GRADES WILL EAT YOUR HOPE FOR A GOOD FUTURE NOM NOM" is.
 
I can't wait for college.
I'm going far away.

It's sad, but it's true. Nothing comes easy, my friend. You have to work your butt off if you want a very decent, financially-securing life.
 
Not really.

If you're born in a famous family, a rich family or just a well known family then you don't have to do anything. You'll get what you want, when you want. Take Angelina Jolie's (or some other famous actor's kids) for example, they'd get what they want because their mum can afford it. Especially since their dad is also rich.
 
yeah, but that's bad in a way.
You never get the fact you need to work hard to have a nice life.

Since they were born into a family that that did that for them, They feel that- "Hey, I don't have to work and I can play everyday and do what I what when I want".

It sucks like that.
That's why,
Even if I'm wealthy, I'm going to live in a modern house, and kids will go to public school~

And when they're out of the house, Then, and ONLY then, Will I buy a mansion filled with goodies so when I'm an old fart I can play the rest of my life. =3
 
What kind of goodies? I'd send my kids to a private school, buy a Lamborghini, a nice big pool and spa and relax.
 
I'm going to be poor, drunk, and suicidal... But at least I'll have a nice house!
 
Which will of course, be filled with beer bottles. You can't be a drunk and not have a house full of beer bottles!
