I'm going to be poor, drunk, and suicidal... But at least I'll have a nice house!

k, depressing.

What exactly makes you say that...?

Which will of course, be filled with beer bottles. You can't be a drunk and not have a house full of beer bottles!

BOTTLES.

MY THIRD FAVORITE CYLINDER-SHAPED OBJECT!!!1 =3

Heh, if you do decide to go to college, make sure it's for something you want to do. And while that is exactly what I did, I lost interest in Physics fast, and my grades showed that. >_<

Now I am considering restarting with Computer Science, at my current school or at a different one, in either January or September. And if I choose the latter, I'll have to pay the government like $1500 in the meantime. Yes, university is very fun. >_<

So I emphasize this....PLAN AHEAD! XD Go to university/college for something you like, or don't go at all. ^^

Hehe, I don't drink. That's a good thing though, IMO.

Of course we'd go for something we want to do. Why would we go for something we hate?

Well sometimes you get there and you don't know what you want to do yet, and then you just pick a major that sounds interesting and then you end up hating it. Which is what happened to me...Now I've changed like two times and I'm three semesters behind. lol

I'm content with my major but I'm behind too--I failed a few courses last term and have to retake them starting January. :[ But I haven't thought about switching my discipline--I love computer science. I wouldn't even know what to switch to. xD

I have carried on education for a further two years but I have no intention of going to university as I have no clue what I would do. My school is making me fill out an application as I will get in easy but I just don't want to go. I have no clue what course to take and it is annoying me that I have been accepted into places and I have to phone and say I don't want to go.

Computer Science was the first major that I switched to...at first I was in Pre-Pharmacy, but I didn't even get to take any classes for it. I switched over to Computer Science before I scheduled for my first semester. Now I am in Business, Statistics, Analysis, and Technology (aka Management Information Systems) but whatever you call it...it is basically a hybrid Computer Science/Business Degree..

Wow, that major is a mouthful to say. XD; Sounds like a good one, though; having both business AND CS should be really useful when you're out of school.

If you aren't interested in post-secondary education, what're you planning on? :o Just jumping straight into the work force?

Well if you're really only 13, there's a good chance that will change. XD I never studied in middle school and got all As and Bs (except math..), but when you get into 10th, 11th, and 12th grade, and especially college/universities, you'll have to study if you want the grades you need to get somewhere.

At least for me, I'm not looking for a "pass". I want straight As. Straight As need studying. Come to think about it, anything in university requires hard work and continuous studying. You're still 13, so the level of work you're given is not heavy; not even relative to your age. That's how I found it myself from personal experience, after all.

by "pass" I mean 90%+
The only reason my grades "are not good" is cuz I don't do homework.
honestly. As if they have us there for long enough as it is... and then they want us to do MORE stuff at home!? ****ing Outrageous.
in the real world, 95% of the time Work is at Work, and Home is at home. They usually don't mix...

Also, the second I turn 18 I'm going to trade in the stock market until...... probably 'till I'm 21 or something... long enough to get enough money to build and maintain my dream cafe =3

Hmpf.... from what I can tell Dad didn't seem to have any sort of "plan" for the future... and it seems he only had a year or two of community collage (or something, I dunno exactly what kind of collage it was) before he went "the hell with this" and left.
If not for my ****ed-up crazy mom he'd probably have a better life than now, though... but it's getting better now that he works at another cab company =3

Well we're in college discussion now? Well as I told Aura...I can't wait for college to get away from the "authoritarian" house. XD I know I'm looking at college through rose-tinted glasses but I just can't wait. ^___^
One of my favourite parts of living away from home is not being nagged for things, but it also REALLY makes you appreciate being home. Especially if you aren't used to doing everything for yourself before you go. XD;

(I'm going to miss having healthy, wholesome meals made for me almost every night. ;;)

Yeah that is what I plan on doing. University doesn't interest me and to do what I want to do I don't need to go to university so there no point wasting my money by going to University when I don't even have to.

That makes sense. What're you looking at doing? :o
I still live at home, I literally live around the corner from school. lol
Wow, that's not too bad, then. XD; My home's about an hour and a half away on a good day--but during the winter, with traffic and whatnot, it's a good two hours so I just live on campus.

I am looking to go into accounting. I don;t have to go to uni for that. I can start working there and they will do on the job training and at a later date could pay for me to do a uni course. I would much rather do that than pay for it myself and find I'm not good when it comes to work situations.

I don't want to work at game all my life do I. xD

Accounting has never really interested me but I know a few people in the accounting program at my university and they're fairly interested in it. It's a really good area to get into with internships and the like, iirc.

It either accounting or computer engineering. I have gone with Accounting for the time being but if I don't like it I can swap to computer engineering. Always been interested in computer engineering but as soon as accounting came up as a school subject I had to give it a go and I quite like it. So going to give that a go when I finish school.

Computer engineering is prooobably one of those things you'd need a degree for. :P I was going to go into it over Computer Science but it turned out I needed both physics AND chemistry and I only had room in my high school schedule to take one so I didn't get to go into it. ;;
