I think it would qualify as showing off in any and all jurisdictions, not just those in Canada. You could go as far as the People's Republic of China, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Republic of China, or Vietnam, and it would still qualify as showing off in their respective jurisdictions.

It's a commom habit, took me a year in to figure it out as well. xD

As a matter of fact, I just discovered we had a Java Chat too. o0 Got ignored a little :< but it looks like fun. :D
 
It's only really fun when you actually get along with the people in there...
 
I never use the Javachat. I don't talk in there. I will go in if I'm bored and see what people are talking about. But normally there isn't anyone talking.

I found this place my first day, not really anything to say but yeah...

Homeschooling doesn't have to hurt your social life. Mine is actually a lot more flexible and fun than that of my regular-schooled friends. It almost has always been that way, except when I went through that horrible bratty period where I hated everyone because I thought they were idiots. (I still think a lot of people are idiots, but not all of them now.)

The main reason I was homeschooled was because I had a horrible immune system as a kid and people kept sending sick kids in, but as I got older, the school system went to pot and I decided it was easier to stay homeschooled.

I think the most annoying question I get about homeschooling is "are you socialized?" I haven't been in a brick-and-mortar school since kindergarten, but I can name more fun things to do in the tri-city area than most of my normal friends. Parties, live shows, concerts, parks, movies, etc. I can go just about any time I want, and I can easily make friends with people from 8 to 80. As a kid, I was in Tae Kwon Do and Girl Scouts, and now I practically live at the theatre and my local newspaper office. I had more job experience in my freshman year of high school than some college grad students who applied for jobs at my office did.

Well good post, but remember, I just moved to florida, so I dont know anyone, or anybody, and being a hugely popular person back in my former school in virginia means it was extremely different for me.

As rayx5 said, I of course can socialize out of school, but it's kinda hard when you just moved there and dont know a sole.

See im homeschooled as I just wanted to see how it would go, and it leaves me extremely fexible. Also the school i was supposed to go was gosh terrible at everything, and the baseball program was last in the division :\ so I went to online school, and then way into it, I learned that the #1 school was near by, but I learned of it too late...

So Im stuck, but I must say being extremely flexible... i've met various people surfing, and with this schedule I can also come here like all the time...

So yes online school is awesome, but for me, I want my high school memories ;D so as a junior and senior for the next two years... Ill be in reg. school and hopefully get into florida univ.

So THAT's why you can post so much here, you're being flexible! xD

Although, I hear some bad things about being home-schooled, like sometimes the amount of work you do doesn't meet up with what school's are doing... But at least you have the experience.

And be wary of interschool politics, there's always a heirachy of some sort that if you don't obey, you get your butt served. Of course that wasn't true for my school, everyone was really nice, but you never know. ;P

school = only at least 3 assignments per week, i do about 10 and whenever I please.
work = on injury leave from abercrombie from my chest incident. :/

So I basically have a ton of time.
 
At my school classwork is homework, so basically if you get all your assignments done during school you have no homework. :D
If you go to school to sleep, you have tons and tons of homework to do.

Same. :D I hardly get classwork, even, though, so it's like... I get home and I have no homework. And I'm dead serious. We're not really... learning in my classes. >:

Back in virginia... it was a ton classwork + a ton of homework, not fun at all...

Yup I hated it there school wise, but i loved everything else socaily ;D, if it means anything I went to douglas freeman high school, and plan on going to Spruce Creek high school next year. ;D

Lol, id never move just for school xD
 
XD My last semester was incredibly hard, though.
Couldn't make honors. D: Well maybe I could have if I did my homework, but you know...
