That video really made me LOL. I'm used to hearing that song in really serious, epic AMVs and it just seems really weird to see the real thing. Are all the songs and the choreographies that... cheesy? :C

Not to mention I associate Zac Effron with Light from DeathNote. Has anyone else seen those comparison pictures? XD

Oh, they get cheesier. :> That one reminded me of a bad Backstreet Boys video, for some reason. XD

Yes, the choreography is just... facepalm worthy.

The only similarity that I see is the hair. But practically anyone can pull of a Light cosplay with the right wig. >_>
 
Mm, there's a set of pictures where Zac is side by side with a Light picture or screenshot and he happens to be wearing a white shirt and red tie--like Light's high school uniform. This is one of them, but I know there are others. Light's a rather generic character when it comes to cosplay but... still, finding resemblances with a celebrity is always interesting.
 
Oh, my, he could pass as a Light look-a-like. XD;
I love seeing how people IRL look like people in anime and video games. There was actually a site I saw where they listed people who could play FFX characters if they every turned FFX into a movie. They said Bruce Willis would make a perfect Auron (which is actually kind of true, although I think Billy Bob Thornton would make just as good of an Auron).

But, I don't think he would suit Light's personality. :x

Actually I haven't seen Zac in much movies so I wouldn't know. XD;
 
They're wearing, like, the same effing tie and everything. x_x;; It's actually quite freaky, if you think about it.
 
Haha, well, Zac's an actor, so it's not a far cry to say he could pull off a Light. I mean, I'm sure he's capable of more than just Disney films. XD;

The guy they cast in the JP movie made a terrible Light, imo. Releasing a DN movie to mainstream America would be... daunting, is what I was trying to say. :x

I agree, he wasn't hawt enough to be Light. :/ L was PERFECT, though. I was obsessed with him for weeks after seeing that movie.

I dunno. I thought he was okay. I didn't really think he looked like Light though.

Zac Effron as Light ftw!! lolol.
 
You can't diss the actor just because you think he didnt look like Light ...

Besides that's Fujiwara... he's pretty much a japanese equivalent in popularity of any crappy HSM actor... and he pwned in Battle Royale. >_>

I haven't seen the movies yet, sadly. I have them all on my hard drive I just... procrastinate quite a bit and haven't sat down to watch yet. XD I'll probably just wait for the official DVD release and buy that.

That said, I hear people rave about L's actor, but Light's can't be that bad. o_O; Looks shouldn't have all that much to do with it. Not to mention that, as far as I know, manga to drama adaptations never really stay true to how the manga characters look.
 
I haven't gotten around to watching those movies either :x It's not that I don't want to, just.... I have other things I'd rather be watching XD; The one I think I will watch when it comes out (if it already isn't) is the "L: Change the WorLd" movie. That one looked the best out of the three, in my opinion <3

EDIT: Didn't see your post there Audy :x There probably are fansubs of them, it'd just be like subbing an anime, right?
