And when you mean study, do you mean Homework that you didn't finish while at school?

If so - then wow, that's a real shame ya know. I always hated Homework so much that I just refused 100% to do it :'-(.

....Probably the most biggest mistake in my entire life that was :@

It's not only homework, but also a lot of reading and practicing. I virtually have no life except one on the internet. Oh, and it's not that great =p

I study day by day. I don't let things accumulate until the exams come. It never works for me.

Ah yes.

If you ask me, I don't see the 'point' of studying. Sure it helps you remember stuff for what's to come.... but what if you end up getting really nervous and you forget everything? :(

That's exactly what I keep thinking, except that I get good grades on my exams and all. The thing is, I forget whatever I learned after the semester is over, which is a shame. Thankfully, my program is a research-based program, so it's more about learning a skill rather than just memorizing information from a textbook.

There's no "research exam". It's just assignments ;p But I do have to study for the Genetics and German exams :/ Das ist schlecht! xD

I used to study for Japanese, back when I took it. Not really to score well on tests, but because I wanted to learn it better XD; Since then though, I've sorta stopped studying all together. :[

Actually, I was thinking of studying for Japanese how hard is it because I really might take it.

Japanese seems like a very difficult language to learn...I'm going to try to learn French next summer, mostly because I have to for school, but I can't say I'm very language-savvy. Although knowing Japanese would be really cool ^_^

Japanese isn't as difficult as it seems. They have no genders and no plurals. It's relatively simple. AT LEAST compared to German and Arabic...

I thought there's different styles of speaking for males and females (at least informally). That confused me in the upper division japanese classes...

It is relatively easy, but I think learning a new language is hard because you enter it with your preconceived notions of grammar from your current language, and that was the big barrier for me when i was taking Japanese. If i had learned it as a child, like my parents wanted me too, it probably would've been easier.

No plurals makes it harder actually. It's easy simply putting S on the end of a word but in Japanese you have to make it clear by using multiple words, no?

Speaking of langauges though, I find Dutch the easiest.

Good point, actually!
To me, English is the easiest. The hardest is my first language, Arabic. How ironic, but it's understandable.

To me I find Icelandic to be the easiest to speak and write, then comes Danish, it's actually easier to write danish then to speak it;)
