I think if people got arrested in the US for saying anything negative about Bush, or wishing not entirely pleasant things on him aloud, a great deal of Americans would be behind bars right now. :C
I know I would be.I think if people got arrested in the US for saying anything negative about Bush, or wishing not entirely pleasant things on him aloud, a great deal of Americans would be behind bars right now. :C
I personally feel bad for the guy...Yeah, he made a few mistakes. But my god, some of the attacks he's had to deal with have been absolutely ruthless. Good thing he's learned to take a joke or two....or ten....or fifteen million XD
I'd never heard of it when I got into it; mom picked up the first two or three (I don't remember how many were out at the time) books and we started from there.I like the series. I enjoyed most of the books and a few of the movies. Even though it was crazy popular everywhere when I started reading them, I was the only one who read them in my elementary school. So, I didn't read them because they were popular. XD I never even heard of them. My mom just randomly got me the first three books one year for Christmas.
I'm fan only because I like it. Quiz me on little plot details or characters and I'll fry. I really don't care about those things. The overall plot is enjoyable enough for me.
I finished reading The Tales of Beedle the Bard a while ago. It was nice; made me feel a little nostalgic, but it felt like something was missing...
Mmhmm. It came out earlier this month, I think.Wait a minute is that book even real? I remember someone talking about that a few months ago and I just dismissed it as a joke. =/
I know, I just hit 500 the other day, I was that my posts in other section were counted then I would be couple of hundred steps closer to the number 1000.I know I would be.
There's quite a few people (online and IRL) that I have issues with, but for the most part, those thoughts never leave my head. Bush is one notable exception.
Yay! 500th post! (not counting my numerous posts in "Other Trivia" XD)
I read the books then I see the movies:DMy mom and I are the fans in my family; my dad only watched the fifth movie and that was simply because we had it inBlu-Ray. :| My brother read the books, I think, but he didn't care too much and prefers the movies.
But yeah, I'm a fan. Not as much so as a lot of other people but I saw my fair share of midnight releases. I'm really looking forward to reading Rowling's fairy tale collection based on/in the world of Harry Potter. I bought it for my mom for Christmas so I've gotta wait until then (and until after she reads it) before I can sneak it back for a read.
Mmhmm. It came out earlier this month, I think.
I didn't even know about it until I saw it up for preorder on Amazon a few days before its release.
Oh wow, really? I didn't know about that.Umhm, I'm more of a Pokémon fanatic than a Harry Potter one, but I was there at midnight for the last three books.
But originally there were only seven copies printed. One was sold at an auction for charity and the other six were given as gifts from Rowling to important people who had made sure that the Harry Potter industry kept booming for more than a decade. A couple of months later she realised that books were meant to be read and decided to have Beedle The Bard printed.
If I were here I would have sold over hundreds of books on a auction and keep the profit for myself.Oh wow, really? I didn't know about that.
Not surprising she decided to cash in on them, though. :|
That is true, I'm so jealous that you can shop on amazon, so did you buy the book? She'll get more money from a widespread release. With her profile and reputation, the books will definitely sell--and sell very well, at that.
I'm just surprised there wasn't more advertising for it. Had I not been Christmas shopping on Amazon I honestly wouldn't have found out about the book.
