So who still hasn't done there Christmas shopping?
Well I still have some stuff to get, but for the most part it is done.

I find it soo hard to christmas shop for some ppl.

She doesn't have to pay for it. And you can always take a bus to a better store.
Or at least do the effort to -make- your dad something nice.

:/ You don't have to be lazy and settle for less.
Let me just pull some money out of butt. Seeing how I am too young to legally have a job and I can't sell things. She is the one paying for it because I don't have money and I wont steal it from her to go to better store. :\

I had a legal job when I was 13, so your excuse of not having a job is blown out the window.

Not really. Anyone who hires a kid is either family or farmers.

I live in a city therefore no farms.
My family are all b-----es for other people.

Not to mention you live in a different country. You have no room to speak for if it is blown out the window because you have no idea what the people are like where I live and if they are willing to hire under age people. No one, especially in the economy now will risk having their business shut down because they hired someone underage.

What you are saying now is like saying:

Lindsay Lohan is sober.
America has nice people.
The American economy is better than ever. Same with other countries.

I think the legal age to get a job here is like 14 or 15. o.o; And a lot of places won't hire people at that age... nor are all that many places hiring to begin with.

Depending on the job, ours is 14 for most jobs like 'Subway, McDonalds, Cafe's' and that stuff.

Here you have to be 16 to work the most basic jobs like mopping or cashier. You have to be 18 to work around or in the kitchen. :\ And I am 15.

Angela you were pwned.
Kuna you were pwned.

In NZ you have to be 16 to get minimum wage, though if you work at like a corner store you get payed like $8 an hour if you're lucky (which is like 5 USD).

Minimum wage where I live is around $7.00 USD. A lot of the stores here think that is too much so they just do the work themselves. The only real store in my city is CVS. The rest are small stores ran by like 1 person.

Those run by onely one person are probably the best places to work, try and see if any store needs like a shophand, or assistant or something.

Minimum wage at somewhere like McDonalds is like $6 an hour. Quite terrible.

Actually no, I'm gonna jump to the conclusion that you are lazy, seeing that most American kids that have a job that I meet on forums are from 13 and up and your how old? 15?, and your just hanging on to any excuse to prove that your not lazy, how about putting down the Esperanto dictionary and get a job?

I mean if I had a father, then I would not let my mom tread him like a total "B" with a capital "B", it's obvious she has a grudge against him since she takes you to a discount shop, I mean dude say something to her, or at least make your dad something.

And I have been a casher for over 3 years now, and in those 3 years I have been allowed to sell tobacco O.o, I know my mom said something to the manager, but he assured her it was legal,

New topic:D:
And I have practicing boot camp for 2 and soccer for 8 years, so how many here practice some sports???

They don't hire because if they do work themselves the get to keep their profits. They don't need to give part to an employee.

Heh

Excuse my French but you need to be quite! If it is illegal to get a job I WONT GET A JOB. I know "morals" is such a confusing topic. I don't do illegal things. The only thing I can do right now until I turn 16 is focus on my studies. And CVS isn't a discount store. It is just a mini-mart.

Also, if I did get a job and the employer was caught I would have a really hard time getting a job. And I don't want to go from store to store begging for a job. And ontop of that...

SCHOOL > MONEY THAT WILL BE WASTED

And like I said, you cant say I can get a job. You don't even live in my state. In fact you don't even live in my country.

So be quite Angela. And your logic is failed. I believe the fact that I am a straight A student in all advanced classes while outside of school I teach myself things I do not need for school prove that I am not lazy at all.

Edit: ((Random)) I am shaking. D:

Soccer for about 9 years, Tennis for about 7 years, Rugby for 2 years, Orienteering for 2 years, Table Tennis for 3 years and Debating (I'm claiming it's a sport :D) for a year.

I enjoy sport :)

Like I said, you don't have to buy expensive things to be thoughtful. I said make your dad something. A card. Take some photos. Draw him something. Bake a cake.

You don't have to leave it at what your mother says. You can do something thoughtful. Honestly, it IS the thought that counts. It's the effort of wanting to do something more for the person who gave you a life.
