I never really studied in high school XD
But I came out of it ok...now its just killed my study habits in college though...which sucks.

You shouldn't be, ACT is nothing but another college requirement, after you get in...you never need to worry about it again. And once you take it the first time, you'll realize it was nothing to worry about.
Let's hope D:
Ick, the ACTs suck. I didn't do too well on mine, but it all worked out though because I got to go to community college and actually work on my grades and I got into my top choice school as a transfer and i'm paying half of what I would have if I got in straight away. plus, it gave me more time to think about my major :)

don't stress too much over them though, you can always improve your application in other ways if your score isn't the best.
I don't have that option, it's either a University or nothing with my parents. And how so? The college I want to go to looks mainly at GPA and ACT score.

I don't either XD But I still get mainly A's :x

I didn't take the ACT's/SAT's as I decided to go to the local community college and they did not need scores from those two tests to accept prospective students.
I did that too after I messed up my first couple of semesters at my university and it helped me a lot. I just wish I would have switched my major sooner, now I'm gonna be in school even longer...

That was me too until my senior year of high school. I always go A's without studying, but my senior year...I got senioritis baaaaaad. And my grades slipped a little. :P
Haha. If that happened to me, I'd be screwed with my parents D:

aww that's a bummer, but I mean if you get mostly A's now I think you'll be just fine :) well, sometimes schools will also look at your volunteer work/extracurriculars to see if you do something aside from school and what you're passionate about. I don't know which schools you're looking at, but those essays count a lot too because then they get to know you past the numbers and it could be the deciding point between two similar applicants.

hahaha, i'm the opposite! I did so bad in high school because I really didn't care and I wasn't sure if I even wanted to go to college. but then my senior year I kicked up my GPA pretty well and actually tried and did well. I was lucky and didn't get senioritis until the last month (may) even by then my teachers didn't care either and we watched movies and stuff in class :D

I agree though. my parents used to be rough on me in regards to school and it didn't change anything :/ I shaped up when I wanted to, not them.

My parents are the typical strict Asian parents. They even threaten me if I get bad grades XD They won't do anything to me tho, seeing as I'm bigger than them.

Tell your parents that stereotypes are out of style...then you can slack off...but really you don't want that either. :P
lol. I'm already picked on in my family, so I don't want to slack off then I'll get picked on more D:

I don't get out of school till early June, but I plan to take Summer School. I don't have plans to travel or anything, so I'd rather be doing something. xD

Oh God, I remember when I was in high school when my parents are super strict about my grades. My freshman year was really bad. I didn't pass all my classes! I was pretty much grounded all year. Senioritis got me bad when I was a senior, three months before graduation. I was very close to lose my spot in the ceremony because I was lacking progress. That would have been baaaad.

I swear some parents nowadays over-parent way too much. I've seen kids like break down because their parents expectations were too high and the stress just go to them.
Yeah, my parent's standards for grades are pretty high. All A's are expected of me (and I manage to achieve it, so I don't really care), but I got a 90 in math last trimester and my dad was like ":|", so I think I have to do even better than that. I have to live on the legacy of everyone in my school going to a very high competing college, so I have to practice studying to get good grades in high school, though a few of my courses count as credits for high school anyway.

I've gotten a C once in my life and that was my 8th grade year. God, it was horrible. I almost cried ;; My dad calls me stupid ever since that year :/

Probably because it gets to you. Don't let it, and perhaps he'll stop. People are like that. My mom called me 'stupid' and such all the time when I do silly things, but I don't care.

My mom still has expectations of me, but she has higher expectations for my brother because he gets straight As and has a chance to be Valedictorian if Band can boost up his GPA. Right now he's 11th, but that's because Band isn't an honors course for Freshmen and Sophomores.

He'll call me that for the rest of my life knowing him. I just have to find something insulting to say to him back in retaliation.

My older sister is the favored one in my family, I'm just a loser to them :/

I'm honestly just getting good grades so that my family would shut up. I don't really want to become a doctor. I don't really want to go to a University. I don't know what I want to do, tbh. I just want my family to shut up and let me decide my own future and stay out of my business.
