Not a fan of the uber busy sigs, Basic image>over complex CSS. Ironically enough i also don't really like massive sigs. lol.
Your signatures are always intriguing tho XD

As for mine, I'm debating on if I should add the Goseigers logo to it, or if I should keep it as it is, any thoughts?

Ironically, just the idea of an incentive is enough to drive me away. Since DCC and such have a stigma of "Free +1 post count", I tend to stay away. Same deal with other "join/do so and so for an instant free prize" offers. I guess it's because I don't want people to think that I have an "I'm just doing it for the benefit" mindset. Or something like that.

Also, the extent of my graphic making is cutting and pasting.

Epitome of my graphics skills right there.

Oh yeah, I shudder to look at that old sig now. The photoshop work was and still is solid, but I remember asking Paigey (Hotaru/Suzu/Kahoshi/Lucid-Acid) "hey what can you do with these million images?" and seriously expecting something elegant to come out of it.

As a note, I just found a composite of all the images I wanted to use in an old photobucket account :p

My photoshop skills have improved considerably since I've been away, but I"m still not sure if I'm ready for themes yet. I can alter images but I haven't practiced creating backgrounds or anything of that sort.

Nostalgia trip time: who else remembers the INCREDIBLY busy Scheris Adjani sig that I rocked back in the day?

You know what's worse? That I can actually remember envying your graphical skills way back when...XD; Not to knock you or anything, but I would like to think I'm a bit better now!

These in particular are my pride and joys because I made just about everything in there. (aside from the stock :P)

Chit-chat is all discussion. If there were ever any whiny babbys that hated that we could write novels to each other and STILL have a higher postcount than them, they were just jealous...or had ADHD XP

I'm more concise as well, but it depends on the situation. I'm actually sending and receiving VMs that are longer than posts I make in the DCC sometimes, heh.
Probably both, I would imagine! I would like to think not every last one of my posts from back then was spam and that I did manage to make some decent novels.

Haha, most of mine are one liners, but I don't really get them that often...aside from the last couple of days.

Wow, I envy you both! Those look really good! XD

I would post the gfx that I made, but I sadly lost all my artwork stored on my old computer and my sister had taken over my Photobucket account and deleted all the gfx I had on there. And now I'm too lazy to make some more and I've lost all the talent.

Uhh, you can take up your photoshop skills contest with Paige, considering that she always made all of my banners XD Back then I knew my way around MS Paint but not much else. I'm at least competent with most basic stuff in Photoshop now.

Jorfy, I don't think that you would have gone from a regular member to a Praetor in a matter of months if people thought you were mostly a spammer. Give yourself a little credit :p

Oh, did she? Well then...yeah! I remember thinking I would never get the hang of using Photoshop. Layers? What are layers? This is all devil's magic! ...and then I was really bored one day and started to figure it all out and now I would like to think I'm not a shabby banner maker!

I want to find some way to disprove you here, but I'd rather be wrong since it makes me sound pretty awesome.

Unlike all you fancy folk, I don't/didn't have Photoshop. I work on GIMP seeing as it was free and simple to use. Granted it didn't have as much features as PS has, but it's still easier to use, imo. Plus it's free, what more could you want!

I use a mix between Macromedia Fireworks and Photoshop, I like Fireworks much better than anything else.

Implying Torrents don't apply to software. ;)

Man, now you're making me want to try my hand at creating a theme for myself. I just don't think it's appropriate to get rid of Kaga just yet, though I would totally make a Mahou Shounen Kaga theme for myself if I could just do my own character design XP I still don't own a graphics tablet, and trying to do digital art with a laptop touchpad is impossible.

I finally figured out the pen tool last year so I suppose nothing is impossible for me now, heh.

For some reason I'm hesitant to get PS from a torrent, I'm afraid I'll get caught and I'll have to pay a pretty large fine. Never heard of Fireworks, is it as complex as PS?

I had two galleries full of stuff I've made; you can find them here and here if you're interested. Out of those, my best pieces would have to be the Nanoha, Rise, Naoto, and Perrine banners. I also have some other stuff laying around on my HD and a USB drive that I haven't bothered uploading yet.

It wasn't until relatively recently that I learned how to use actual Photoshop. Most of my graphics work is still done with an outdated version of GIMP; at least it's free, and many of the skills I learned while using GIMP are also applicable to Photoshop to some degree.

You should find some pictures of Kaga and make a theme out of it! I'm sure all his regal looking outfits will lend themselves well to a fancy looking banner.

Ooh I hated the pen tool, it was the one thing I didn't know how to really use when I started college and I had a graphics class that first semester. Luckily that was the only place I was having issues in.

The bigger danger is downloading a fake copy of photoshop that's just an enormous malware package, really. For most popular programs, there's a hundred fake torrents for each real one. If at all possible, ask someone in college (if you know anyone) to see if they can get you a copy for cheap through their school. Most colleges offer expensive software such as operating systems and gfx software for next to nothing through special programs (though mine didn't so I had to resort to...uhh...other stuff for various programs that all my friends in other colleges were getting for $5 and $10 T_T)

Hmm...if only I had at least one HQ rip of an Iron Chef episode to work with. The tiny files I have don't exactly lend themselves to quality graphics work XD

I'll try something, though. If it turns out bad, I don't have to use it! (though I'll still post it here so everyone can laugh at it.)

Your art style is pretty unique! (Note, I've only looked at the ones linked to the images not the galleries since my computer is lagging atm.) I'd have to say your 'Rise' one stands out to me the most, and I like it.

The only thing I dislike about having GIMP is that there aren't a whole lot of tuts for it.

You haven't played Persona 4 yet, have you? If you haven't, get to it.

Many tutorials that are available for Photoshop can be translated for use with GIMP, but in order to make them work, you have to cut out some techniques entirely (selective coloring is the first that comes to mind) and improvise other techniques that don't have clear GIMP analogues. At least that's what I did, at any rate.
