aboot? x3 ive never heard of that one. fill me in with some more stupid stereotypes plz ;D

Well you see, eh.
People think, eh.
that eh is overused like this, eh.
When it's usually after a question and not after every sentence or word, eh.
eh?

horrible, i was right in the middle of it. hail, tornadoes, buckets of rain, and lightning across the street. it was like a godamn movie scene, and a horror movie at that. But look at it now, its such a nice day. though, just in case, im not going outside x3

The sky was green! O:
Wow. :O The tornado that touched down in Vaughan was pretty damn close to where I am (like... 3 major intersections away) but the sky was fairly light the whole time. @_@; It's almost disappointing except I'd probably have been so frightened if I *had* been able to see funnel clouds or anything omg.

I remember reading that you guys pronounce 'ou' more like 'u' but not exactly like the stereotypical 'aboot'
I... dunno. D: I think we pronounce the U moreso than a typical American does? So I'm not sure where the "aboot" stereotype came from. XD;

Yeah. Sky was freaky. XD

We missed the hail.

Oh hey its raining again >;[

I know, right? No accent. :(

But apparently we pronounce "about" differently--no in the lame, totally untrue stereotypical "aboot" way but... we pronounce the -out part more? I can't remember. XD; That was just one example they mentioned.

Eh? You shouldn't lie aboot Canadian accents; it's an important part of the culture...like speaking French.

I couldn't see funnel clouds from the house. While things looked clear from the front there were massive black clouds around the back. I was still freaked out though. Because for the brief moments the TV would work, we had it on the news and people were sending in pics and video. There was video from right around the corner and you could see the twister in the distance. So, then I worried.

Otherwise I would have just thought it was raining.

ya, if only my French teacher only knew how to actually teach x3
then maybe i could be more cultural, eh?
though im thinking aboot taking a different french class, just to learn more. (damn, i was going to say a french word that didnt make sense with the sentence, but then i remebered i dont know any x3)

It was basically just rain for me. Coming down torrentially, mind you, but still just rain. XD; If it weren't for the flickering lights and the oh-so-brief loss of power... I wouldn't have thought it any different than the other storms we've had lately.

@Ctep: Uhh... haven't checked twitter in about half an hour so probably not. XD;

Lucky for me, I didn't have to take French because I don't have a French speaking background (I moved here a couple of months ago). Which means space for Latin!

Yeah. Been an icky summer here. The lights were o_O

I was good with the torrential rain, lightning, thunder, power/satellite/internet problems. When I saw the tornado warning I was like "Naaaaah." Then saw the pics and video and went "Uh-oh" lol

Haha, yeah I didn't really take the tornado warning seriously since it seemed so nice out. Then of course I hear news that, yes, one did touch down and close by and... ugggh. @_@; Lmao I just sat up in my room the whole time--if it HAD come closer. Eep. :(

You didn't even move down to the main floor at least?

Lol. Back in March a tornado touched down about a half mile from my condo at college. I was watching one of the March Madness college basketball games and all of a sudden it sounded like my bedroom window was going to explode. I was all like "o__O" cause it was raining so hard I couldn't see out the window to tell wtf was going on. I went downstairs and opened the front door to look outside and there were lawn chairs from people's porches scattered every which way and golf ball sized hail completely covering the ground making it white. I walked back upstairs to an interruption of the basketball game with a "We have just received confirmation that a tornado has touched down on Springettsbury Road." report. The road I live on. x__x;;
