Newfoundland has its own language going on
Yeaaaah no one understands Newfies. There's also a definite accent in the rural praries and it's not uncommon to find a bit of an Irish or Scottish accent in the Maritimes.
Canadians have an accent? XD

No, I honestly have never heard a canadian accent before.
APPARENTLY. 8| I insist we don't but everyone else says we do. :(

edit: @Ctep: No, apparently Torontonians (Toronto's arguably the most "Americanized" city in Canada) also have a Canadian accent. It's close to an American accent but not quite? idk. GO ASK AUDY. ;_;

I have a Canadian accent.

v_v I still don't believe Canadians even have accents (save the places in Canada that have accents even to the average Canadian) but apparently we do.

haha ya i know. i dont think i have an accent...

does saying eh? every other sentence count as an accent? x3

and im from Toronto! no accent there!

I hate how my accent seems so normal to me then I go somewhere and suddenly it feels wrong.

I also hate how everyone seems to think we speak like Geordies.

I would defiantely take a Scottish, Norwegian, or Candian accent.
They are just so awesome.

But since I have an American accent,
meh.

But I have a mixture of backgrounds, though.
So it makes up for it.

I know, right? No accent. :(

But apparently we pronounce "about" differently--no in the lame, totally untrue stereotypical "aboot" way but... we pronounce the -out part more? I can't remember. XD; That was just one example they mentioned.

How was the storm for you last night? :O

Everywhere has an accent. It's a common fact.. you just won't notice it because it because everybody else around you speaks like that.
