I hate shows like Dora the Explorer. :( They treat kids like idiots.

"DO YOU SEE SOMETHING BEHIND ME??"
*monkey is dancing across the screen behind Dora*
"REALLY? WHAT IS IT? WHAT IS IT?"
*monkey is still dancing obnoxiously and MAKING MONKEY NOISES*
"Is it a *insert spanish word for monkey 'cause idk it lol*?"

ffffffff I appreciate that it's trying to teach kids new words but honestly. :( The interactivity is just so lame. I know as a kid I hated watching educational stuff unless it was tricking me into learning it (Magic School Bus, I'm lookin' at you!). It's just so blatant now though. What happened to subtlety? ;_;

Dora says, "Hola! Can you say Hola?"
*waits 5 minutes staring at you like an experiment*
"Hola?" Can you say Hola?"
*waits for 15 more minutes and the show is over -.-*
 
I used to watch a lot of COPS and America's Most Wanted as a child... think that might have affected my upbringing?

I watched anything animated as a kid. XD; So a lot of kids shows and then the Simpsons and shows like that. I still watch some kids shows. D: And I love sitting down and turning on kids cartoons when I'm with friends because they're just so awful now. It's always good for a laugh.
 
I love Spongebob still. But I haven't watched TV a lot lately...not even my favorite shows. :/ The only show I really turn the TV on for anymore is Bleach. :DDD
 
Baby Enstein is no help either... TV babysitting basically...

If you want your kid to have superior cognitive skills, you have to do affect its first 5 years of life...

So winning the lottery would help focus your attention on the child... Or even the daycare, would be the next best thing...

As for Sesame Street, I watched it a long time ago as well. My sociology teacher recently told me it was probably the worst teaching tool though, because it was doing a lot of right brained stuff, and hardly any left brained stuff (okay well lot's of kids tv shows are doing that these days anyway)... But as a rule, people usually develop there left brain later on, or rather, it takes more time... This is exceptionally difficult for guys, as they develope their left brain later than a girl...

Haha, jk, I can't judge Bleach well enough yet. I honestly just love ninjas and thrown kunai knives, so maybe that's my only criteria.

And Spongebob IS totally coral. Fantastic program.

What's everybody got going on this week? I've been gone from the DCC far too long now. XD I've got too many papers to write for Psych, Business, and a lab report to do in chemistry. Then I work all weekend. Hoo.rah..
