It's not a mistake, no. BUT. I automatically 'translate' American spellings when I rewrite something that someone else has written. And the affect/effect thing seems weird to me. It's not that hard to remember. Effect=noun (usu.) and affect=verb. @_@

Don't forget 'there'.
