That's exactly how I shift conversations too. Quite rarely do I join a conversation and carry on with it normally.. Haha.
 
I only joined twitter a while ago so that I could say 'that'.

Wilson knows what I mean.

Now I just sign in every now and again for teh lulz. And it's a good way to see how the other Kiwi Wrimos are going. :3

I want to start a Twitter later to enhance my Social Networking life. I never opened one before - even when there was a lot of hype about it. I do like Facebook but I se no harm in having both.
 
I dislike MSN messenger (ruined many conversations by being rash there; communicating should be eye to eye or at least voice to voice, and if that's not possible - by written messages where you can think over a good reply before sending back) and I've decided against Twitter.

Whenever I want to talk to friends, I use my free sms ^^ And facebook is great for keeping in touch with people you can't meet often, as well as a great way for my new class to keep track of each other and arrange meetings and parties easily. I'm doomed without facebook <3

These are all MY opinions, of course. Goes without saying that Twitter and MSN can be great for all you other (crazy) people.

I mostly use MSN and iChat and I've been meaning to get a Skype account as well.
