Most people think that the goal of the language is to replace all languages in general, which is not true. The goal is to become a universal second language so other cultures can easily speak to each other.

But that is the problem. Most people are too stubborn to learn that it wasn't their goal to begin with.

Wilson, you aren't forgiven either D:<

But you see, you're confusing the common American view with the European view. Americans think that Spanish and English are the only important languages, however English far more than Spanish. This is because this concept (if you actually think about it) is drilled into our heads during elementary school. However, in Europe and Asia they are taught the importance of communication between cultures and how a common link can prevent many many conflicts. In fact, in the past 10 years the amount of fluent speakers went from 10,000 to over 2,000,000. And yes, that is possible. On average it takes a person six months to learn the language. That is for people who speak any Indo-European based language. Asian-based language speakers usually take about eight. The language is that easy.

If Americans really thought Spanish and English were the only important languages, why would they also teach French and German as high school classes?
After all, to get by in most African countries, you would need to know French.

Go into any high school. Compare the amount of people in the Spanish class to the rest.

What state do you live in?

There are exceptions to what I said. And these exceptions are exceedingly obvious. (To me, because I know them.)

Also, I should rephrase. Compare the amount of people in the Spanish class who take it so they can actually know Spanish instead of just taking it for an easy A with credits to the same thing with French/German/Latin/in some states Japanese or Irish Gaelic.

I have never met more than one person in any school I have been too (I have been to five high schools, and I am a junior. I move a lot) that actually goes "I WANT TO LEARN THIS LANGUAGE!" Most just say they will stop when they get out of school. :/

"Esperanto" means "the one who hopes". If you said "Esperonto" it would mean "the one that will hope". Sorry, but Esperanto already hopes and has been for awhile. D:< ESPERANTO ESPERATA.

Missouri.
I guess you shouldn't say things that don't imply exceptions then ;D

What is over 9000? The speakers? It's over 2,000,000. Sorry I am confused right now. XD

Missouri.

Indeed, but it doesn't matter since the exceptions are:

Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. They all have high French speaking populations. I guess Missouri could count, since it was part of French Louisiana, but I don't know anything about the languages in it.

Yes, the speakers are well over 9000. 83
ESTAS PLI OL NAŬ MIL!!!!!!11unu

Well I haven't shown my face in a while. O___O"

Washup? :>
I just asked that. ;_;

So, Lady Gaga was performing on Jay Leno just now, and her boob slipped out. She kept on performing, full frontal. Her hair covered it most of the time. However, before she could even fix it Jay goes over there and hugs her.

I say it was a publicity stunt, like the whole hermaphrodite thing. Also: plz join BF
No, it really wasn't. The top she was wearing was just waiting to let a twin out. There is no way it could have been staged. It didn't even come out when she was dancing, just when she was singing.

She was embarrassed by it too.
