Oh, and if you're going to be a poser with a convertible, never leave your car parked on a busy street with the top down. I hear saliva isn't particularly good for the expensive upholstery.

No not really, I just keep them in my garage and not be a poser at all. I have a life instead of my night life, going to school, work at the Holiday gas station, and hanging out with friends.

I like classic cars with stuff like beltless bench seats. Swanky.
I would only ride in something like that if I were to have a death wish.

We're talking about cars now...?

Personally, I think plenty of old cars are safe, but with the advances in technology, of course some of the newer ones would be safer.

*is thinking of getting a Prius...eventually* I'd like a Smart Car (though those things are tiny and could be easily run over if one isn't careful X_X), but I heard they're expensive, so...

Ick. A hybrid car? Yeah... hybrids cost around twenty thousand at the moment. And actually, if you've seen that commercial, the new Jetta I believe it is, can get 58 miles to the gallon. That's pretty sexy for a non-hybrid. And it looks better and costs less. That's the one thing about hybrids I can't stand, paying for ugly vehicles. XD

But Priuses are so pretty... ; ;

I wouldn't mind get a Volkswagon. Or a Subaru. Those are the cars my mom and stepdad have.

Though I think I'd get a Subaru over the Volkswagon. Subarus are some of the safest cars, from what I heard. I think they get good mileage, too.

Mm, to tell the truth, I probably shouldn't be too concerned about this right now. I may be turning 16 this year, and I may be able to get my permit soon, but...

Aha. Getting your permit eh? I thought they changed the age to 18. Guess that didn't get passed (shows how much I pay attention sometimes XD). I waited til I was 18 anyways. School was right down the road for me so I never had to drive.

I also found, that because I waited til I was 18, my insurance was a lot less than it would have been apparently. As of right now, I pay only 49 dollars a month for full coverage insurance. XD (that's including everything from being in the military, waited til I was 18, took a driving class, I'm 25 now and my clean driving record)

And what I love about that is I just pay my insurance once a year cause of how low it is! It's just awesome!! :P

I've got a 1995 Jeep (that's about as "old" as I'll get when it comes to cars XD) and that thing sucks down the gas. I want to try to get rid of it and get something better on gas. But everything I want would be just as bad, seeing how I want some sort of sports car. Or maybe a truck.

I'm able to take my test in about two months time, but truth be told I very much doubt I'll even be able to afford the lessons, let alone the car itself. D:

Know what would help in both price and gas cost? A motorcycle. I love my motorcycle. If ya'll are brave enough, go get your motorcycle license. I can tell you they're a blast to ride!! :D

Eck, I can't stand motorcycles. Motorcycles are more dangerous, and thus cost more when it comes to insurance. I don't like riding on them - my father forced me to go out on the back of his once, and I couldn't stand it - and I'm not particularly enamoured by the statistics regarding motorcyclists and said motorcyclists dying on the roads around where I live. And even then, with no income (and any potential income from getting a job will be very small) I'd only be able to afford some crappy little moped that sounds like a blender that's on the fritz.

Cars? Heh when I turn 18 and I am able to get my license my dad is giving to me the keys to his Hyundai Santa Fe. That thing is a beast of a car and fairly new. Its also black. I love me a black car. I love it more if the finish was matte. I have strange tastes I know. But hey before that I might get an atv. An ATV in the city. Yep.
