While my brother has a PS3, I prefer the Wii considerably. It's so fun to play, and I loveeloveeloveeee getting involved in games such as Wii Sports and Mario Party. It's fun to use your body to make the game do its thing. Plus, Guitar hero is better on Wii than PS3 :< I can't really speak for 360 since I've never touched one in my short life. :/

P.S. I declare myself ruler of 5:00-5:59pm of the chat for the rest of the year. D<

I've been playing my PS3 a lot more than my 360 lately! But I figure that's probably mostly because I'm going to miss it when I move back out on Sunday. ;~; I can only take my 360 and PS2 with me.
Really? Wow... I find that shocking. I mean I thought you were playing a good bit of re:CoM or The Orange Box.
Or did you get TOB for when you go back?

Yeah, the 360 rocks. I only own the Wii and the 360, but I haven't played the Wii nearly at all since I got the 360. The games are much better, more complicated, and are just much more fun to play.
I just can't find anything I like on the Wii. And even if I find something I just can't go get it because I got such a large backlog.

There are only a couple of Wii games I really want, the rest are all on 360 and PS3. Problem is that the PS3 is so expensive. ;-; I'll definitely be getting a Wii next.

And yeah, but working in the cafe gets so old if I do it all of the time. 8( And I'll still be working there about half of the time, so. :D
The two main reasons why I wanted a PS3 was...
1: To have all the systems this gen (both handhelds and consoles).
2: To make sure I don't miss any games.
And that's pretty much it... Bragging rights, and just in case a game is only on one system I'm able to get it. Like in case of MGS4... such a great game, if it was last gen and on the XBox then I would have missed out on it. I missed out on some XBox games and I didn't want that to happen this gen.

New thread and i have not posted my daily chit chat? Wow. Anyway i realised that i got 3400 posts. And i did that in what 13 days including holidays? yeah sounds right. Anyway Between Life and such i get 5-6 hours a day of internet. yeah that explains it. But hmm i am glued to my wii. Anyone know a way were my wii games wont addict me to it?

Nah, I finished Re:COM in Japanese and I'm having problems sitting down and playing console games in general these days. D: I can't really play TOB because I've already played the hell out of Portal, I want to finish up Half-Life before I play HL2 and I don't have gold so TF2 is kinda moot. XD

I LOVE MARIO PARTY! and they have it on Wii? I had no clue. I can't stand Wii sports though, my family plays golf all. the. time. it's so annoying. my brother just got a 360 for christmas and I attempted to play call of duty on it. I do like it, but I don't see much of a difference between the two consoles :x

I PREFER MY DS LITE :D

How come I am so late in finding there is a new thread :C
Oh and about the game consoles I could really only buy one but my brother could by one of the others and I chose the 360 because the I love Nintendo and all but the Wii's games suck compared to the ones of the 360.
IMO the games are to childish or for retarded adults which think it's fashionable and so there are very few, what I call, real games!
I will play battle revolution on my brothers Wii when he gets it though :>

From what I've played/heard, PBR is terrible. :| How is that like the only game on Wii you're looking forward to!?

PBR is a really sucky game. Although to be fair, compared to 95% of the Wii's library, it's a triple-A title. >>

Anyway, I spend most of my time on the 360, with the PS3 in a very distant second. I barely play the Wii anymore, except for when I get the urge to work on beating Zack and Wiki, and I might start on Metroid Prime 3 soon. I've got so much stuff to beat now though...working on Lost Odyssey and I guess I'll get to Re:CoM after that. The PS2 is still out in the living room and I don't feel like moving it back. XD

Yeah. I played it a couple weeks ago with 38967349867 people at my friend's birthday party. We shook cans until they burst, raced, had a "how many baseballs can you hit" thing, and much more. It's so much fun with 38967349867 people. :321

...I think that's what I played. D':

...Not really. I mean, if you're going on wifi with it, and don't mind spending hours of time playing painfully repetitive pokemon battles with random people over, and over again, then I guess...er...

Actually, you know what? Scratch that, PBR is an awful game. I rented it once a while back, and while it was kinda cool seeing everything in 3-D, you're better off just playing D/P/P battles. The only real difference from what I can see if being able to customize your trainer, and...yeah, that's about it. Aside from battling, there was no real "game" attached to it ._.;

I hardly ever play my wii anymore, aside from the occasional brawl when I get the urge to beat someone's ass down via a television screen. I just got ToS 2, and despite the fact that I never actually finished the first game, I might get started on that soon.

Right now, Fallout 3's become my biggest time-consumer.

I was one of the few people who liked PBR because I could have WiFi battles on it when I couldn't with my DS. It was all because the Wii allows WPA(which is what I had), while the DS only allows WEP. >_<

But that aside, PBR sucked horribly. The only use I got out of it was a Hardy Surfing Pikachu, and a Dubious Disc to evolve my Porygon2 with. XD

I only have the Wii as well. In fact, I only have Nintendo systems, and every one since the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Colour, XD. The only downside is no Final Fantasy or Banjo-Kazooie Threeie, but I'm fine with that for the moment. ^^

The only Microsoft product I have is my copy of Windows, and the only Sony product is this old television that doesn't work anymore. =P

Ah you guys are too harsh on Sony's darling <3

Something about the PS3 has just really turned me on. It is a very sleek (sexy?) console physically and has a lot of internal features. Developers just don't utilize it.

I personally support all consoles as long as they have good games, I don't really have any favorite companies, if the games are good, I play them, it's extremely simple^^

I used to be die-hard anti-Sony. Mainly I resented the PS2's popularity while the Gamecube anguished into obscurity. It just wasn't fair. Nintendo made a console that looked better than the competition, had a superior controller, and also a better name. But in the end there was nothing we could do to save it.

Ah well. Now Nintendo's making crappy games for "everyone" by the minute and Reggie can go burn in the eternal flames of a world before video games.

Yeah man, I used to be the same way, but mainly just because the gamecube was the only console I had at the time (back before I eventually just gave in, and bought a PS2).

...But thinking back, it was really only something I would do out of envy. I mean to be honest, outside of a few good games that no one's ever heard of, aside from me (Baten Kaitos, PSO), and a few nintendo franchise game, the gamecube...really didn't have that many exclusive games for its older audience. I mean yeah, it had RE4 as an exclusive for a while, but even that eventually made its way over the the PS2 ._.

I don't mind the PS3. I think it's a great console with a lot of potential, but I think the fact that it's (apparently) so hard to program for, plus its cost ($150-200 more than the other consoles) really sets it at a disadvantage. The 360 is more of a community-oriented console with the different gaming events that happen on an almost daily basis, Xbox Live being the best online gaming experience on either console, in my opinion the NXE is much sleeker and user friendly than the XMB, and stuff like gamerscore and achievements gives you more to do in games other than just beat them. So I prefer the 360, yes, but in no way do I think the PS3 is a bad console.

The Wii on the other hand...so much potential down the drain with that poor overclocked Gamecube with waggle...seriously, it could have had some awesome games that make good use of the motion control (and it does have some, like Metroid, Zack and Wiki, and Trauma Center), but Nintendo is satisfied with Wii Music, Petz, and Imagine! crap on its console instead of real games. Plus the online is just a total wreck.

For me, 360 > PS3 > Wii.

:( The PS3 is ONLY behind because its library isn't as refined yet and... mostly for the reasons Mork mentioned. But I do really like it. It has my favourite controller by far.

The Wii just has very little of interest for me. Brawl was fun and everyone mentions all these great titles for Wii but... I just don't care enough. I have all the others and if I have the extra money to buy games, I'm going to get games for them because they're higher up on my "want" list.

Using the Wii remote is hard. I prefer Game Cube. Yeah Super Mario Galaxy should totally get a Game Cube version.
