Aiyh, I wish I had a Calculus test to look forward to...But alas, I only have Algebra this semester. ;_;

But since this is winter break for me, I'm not doing any work. Instead I'm going to rest most of the day tomorrow, hoping to get rid of this darn cold I have. >_<

Midterms already? Well, we've only been in school for 4 weeks, so I guess it's still a bit too early for us. But yeah, my test shouldn't be too bad (I hope O___O)

@Lexy: We don't take any equivalent here in Canada. We have standardized tests in grade 9 and 10 in Ontario but they aren't... really used for anything. I guess the literacy exam in grade 10 has to be passed to pass high school but it has nothing to do with your university application. (Also I almost typed @seaclipse XDD)
...Why would you even take tests if they aren't good for anything? Especially if they're those horrible bubble tests ): And obviously, you need to get off Twitter more XDD

Well, the week after my Calculs midterm (or is it two weeks?) I have my second algebra midterm. 8(

...I'm on break too but I still have to study. ;_;

You probably went back at the end of January; I went back at the beginning of January.

But my first midterm was the first Monday in February so... I dunno. (Then again, I also have two midterms for each class...)

Because they're mandatory. But I didn't take the math test in grade 9. :D I took grade 9 math in grade 8 and then when the grade 9s were supposed to take it, I was already in grade 10. Since it usually counts toward part of your grade 9 mark, they just waived it. XD; So I just took the literacy test overall.

No you just need to be on PC more. >:|

Mhmm...I started mad late. January 26th to be exact. My winter break was over a month long O.O

Aww, two midterms? That sucks >:

Wow...I'm glad none of my classes have midterms. That would be annoying. Although, I do have a final coming up Monday (the class is only half of a semester). I'm actually looking forward to that final, as it's for my night class. 3 hours is just too long for a class.

@Erica ...it was kind of a rhetorical question )< But you rock for skipping the math test. And no, I just didn't type @Cherrim. So, obviously, you need to get off Twitter more. but yes I do need to be on PC more shhhh

@Aurafire Luckyyyy. Long breaks are the best. They give you time to unwind. We only got like...8 days for Christmas break.

@X-626 What final is it?

oh wow people are starting school this late? well to me its late to start school, i have 9 more weeks and im done. :/

@X-626 What final is it?

Chemistry 207: Analytical Chemistry
I really hate it. They are way too picky about every little measurement.
The way the class is set up, is that we have a 50 minute lecture earlier in the week, then later on we have a 3 hour lab where we do the experiments. I was actually looking forward to the class at first...but not anymore. That class has actually made me decide to not minor in Chemistry.

That's insane. :| I wish I had month-long breaks. I think last possible day of finals for fall term would've been around the 20th of December last year and first day of classes was January 5th. o_O;

I hate night classes--especially long ones like that. x_x; After 5PM I find it hard to concentrate on anything. And after an hour in a classroom, I just tune out and stop paying attention at all. XD;

Psh, it so wasn't rhetorical. >8| And you only didn't type @Cherrim because you were thinking about not doing it. I bet you would've if I hadn't mentioned nearly using your twitter name.

Well, just one semester of school, not the whole thing. It's not THAT late to be starting.

What's even worse, is we have to stand for the 3 hours. No sitting whatsoever, unless we are weighing things.

Eww. Chemistry. And that set up sounds exhausting. Four hours of chem a week...ick. I know the feeling on the measurements...we're doing significant digits in Chemistry (or at least it's supposed to be Chemistry, but it's more of an intro to it) and if we don't have the right number the whole problem's wrong. Even if we had all our work right. It's super annoying.

Was too >:( And I would have too typed Lightning because you've had that name for ages. ...And Cherrim suits you so much better though. And I love how we're arguing about Twitter over PC. This is so pointless. XD

Yeah, my school is pretty ridiculous like that. Although we get out in mid-May, which I'm sure is a lot later than most schools. And we don't get spring break until April 4th ;____;

Ugh...don't get me started on significant digits! We get things taken off all of the time for not using the correct amount. Writing things in scientific notation is also a huge pain. They also take off for forgetting the units. I've lost many points for all of those.
I actually have another chemistry class. It's Chemistry 201: General Chemistry
I hate it, too, but it's nowhere near as bad. At least I'm doing better in it. It's a full semester class, but it's also a lot shorter (50 minutes, 3 times a week, and a 50 minute recitation at the end of the week to go over the materials covered).

Our last day of classes is at the end of April. The first week of May starts finals, which usually only last that week.

............ew. :( Yeah I'm SO glad I'm in the math faculty. I much prefer theory over the hands-on thing. XD When I took physics in first term I rejoiced when I heard that everyone but the math students who took the course were required to take the associated lab.

Except I've been Lightning for like 8 years now. I could never change fully. Besides, then Lightningism would just be confusing.

Ew, May? :( Our last day of classes is April 3rd and then we have exams for two weeks or so.

Lol...that's what we get for not starting until late January and having an 11 day spring break. All my friends are going to be home and I'll still be stuck at schoooooool >:(

That makes me glad that we start in early January (like the first week, I think). Although, Lightning still gets out earlier than us...

Significant digits are ridiculous. I mean, really? I added all my numbers up and you're making me have a *less* specific number? I think it's the stupidest rule ever. I failed a quiz I should have had 100% on because of significant digits. My teacher takes off points when we forget them, too. I'm surprised significant digit rules hasn't dropped me a letter grade yet.

True. You could always change it to Cherrimism, or Ericaism. Even though that last one has two vowels in a row and would be hard to pronounce. But it doesn't sound as spiffy as Lightningism. And then you would lose all your followers and your ego would plummet, and it would be sad.

Haha...yeah, I know exactly what you mean. They make absolutely no sense to me. Purposely making a number less accurate just seems...well...pointless. I'm probably failing that 207 class. I'm gonna study hard for that final on Monday, though. Hopefully, I'll pass.

I know, right? Why would you want to make a number less accurate? What if you had a number that you cut off like five decimal points off of and you measure something dangerous with it, and it explodes, and everyone dies? Then it's all your fault because you didn't have a specific enough of number. (...yeah. I don't know where that came from either. Obviously I need sleep.) I hope you do well on your final, though. Chemistry is tough stuff. Not the actual chemistry, just the rules and laws and such.

Anyway I think I'm going to go to sleep and enjoy my 3-4 hours of sleeping in. G'night, all.
